This is my third time doing my nails myself with the kit and following her directions exactly. I just needed my real nails to grow out a little bit but now I'm not using the fake nails anymore. I'm still doing the dip powder, because my nails are very brittle and painting my nails with the gel polish. I love how easy this is and how much money I'm saving. Thank you!

I've been using this exact dip kit for YEARS and I'm so glad I stumbled across your review. You addressed one of my biggest issues and I'm literally about to soak these off and use your method.
@@savia3976 I've never gotten a kit with a brush cleaner lol but my brush generally stays clean. When ur applying the resin for each coat, make sure u brush/knock off any loose powder beforehand. You'll be less likely to pick up powder and clog the brush. You can also wipe the brush on a lint-free wipe or a paper towel to remove any debris before dipping it back into the bottle
@@sherlm7799 file down/shorten the free edge and also file down any bulk product. Get as close to ur natural nail as u feel comfortable. Soak a cotton ball in 100% pure acetone, place it on top of the nail, and wrap in tin foil. Let it sit for 10-15 min then remove the foil and cotton. Use a cuticle pusher to gently scrape off any product. If it doesn't come off easily, don't force it. U risk damaging ur natural nail. If needed soak the cotton again, rewrap, and wait another 10-15 min.

Hey girl you should review Walmart’s sensational gel polish! It’s a rub on gel powder and it looks so professional after! It comes with a top coat that really makes the polish beautiful. There’s also a UV gel lamp that’s sold there that’s helpful and would make your nails dry faster it’s about 20$. Hopefully you can check it out and do a video on them! 😊

They came out amazing and I love that color!! I've been using glue on nails since I was 12 yrs old I just never had the confidence to try acrylics myself. I have a olddddd kiss kit I've never had the confidence to use it , I may have to practice with that before I try this.
So I work at a grocery store and bought these nails on a whim because I miss having nails, but the press on ones just pop right off and I can't get them professionally done. I thought I'd give this kit a try, but the instructions were a little too wordy and vague for my ADHD brain, so I decided to look up a video tutorial and I'm glad I found yours! Thank you for the clear explanation and step by step process. I just tried it and I'm fairly happy with my results.. but there's no telling HOW bad they'd be if I had just been trying to follow the instruction packet lol Also that Mickey design was adorable!
Jordan Kaufman how do u get it to not turn like “gummy?” After I do all the steps put the activator on let it sit for a few min then start filing it’s a mess like it’s gooey 😩
I really like your technique of slowly working back to the cuticle, it makes the join between the finger and the nail so subtle and I assume adds some strength to the connection between the finger and nail- will definitely be implementing this technique
Girl I feel ya! Some encouragements, theres a reason why nail techs get paid for it. Dont be so hard on how it comes out the first time. Just keep trying. If you are using acrylic makes sure your picky about brand. I wasnt and that turned out to be my downfall. Stoped trying to do my own nails for years. What brand you pick WILL determine your experience. It's ok to start off small and just PAINT your regular nails. Start small. That's what I did when I decided I wanted to try again. The paint chips in like 3 days which I hate but I made a step. Then I started doing press ons (100 piece blank ones) and let me tell you woooo did I get encouraged. I got soooo many complements on my press ons. The only problem is my nails are stupid shaped so I have to do a lot of modifying (fileing nail bed and sides) to the press ons. Soon imma start trying dip. But I just wanna encourage you!!!! You can do it!!!!
I bought some colored “acrylic” from amazon. When I put my brush of monomer in it it would NOT stick. I thought I was ripped off. Maybe it’s this stuff 💅🏾 im going to try tonight
Hey love just thought I’d let you know dip powder is still acrylic it’s just a more finely cut acrylic so it should still bead up it just doesn’t last as long as regular acrylic would! So I hope this helps you love!

Hi sooo you have no idea how much this video touches my heart. I’m getting into doing my own nails and using the dip powder kit for the 2nd time later this week & clicked on yours. I am in awe over you choosing a Mickey design & that being the video I chose (I didn’t see it in the thumbnail) bc my sisters name/nickname is Mickey, and we all associate Mickey Mouse with her, and she died in January. So everytime I see Mickey Mouse on random shirts and just it’s resurgence lately, it feels like a sign from her. Sometimes people have no idea that whatever shirt or thing they picked out that day totally brightens mine. Thanks 💙💙💙
It depends on the color of the light. Indoor shes probably using a bright warm tone light for filming, which will bring out the green tones, outdoor lighting is a warm tone but because of the intensity and the blue refraction from the sky, its going to wash out the green tones and turn blueish. It's the same reason your hair color looks different in different lighting.

I really like your technique of slowly working back to the cuticle, it makes the join between the finger and the nail so subtle and I assume adds some strength to the connection between the finger and nail- will definitely be implementing this technique

Girl I feel ya! Some encouragements, theres a reason why nail techs get paid for it. Dont be so hard on how it comes out the first time. Just keep trying. If you are using acrylic makes sure your picky about brand. I wasnt and that turned out to be my downfall. Stoped trying to do my own nails for years. What brand you pick WILL determine your experience. It's ok to start off small and just PAINT your regular nails. Start small. That's what I did when I decided I wanted to try again. The paint chips in like 3 days which I hate but I made a step. Then I started doing press ons (100 piece blank ones) and let me tell you woooo did I get encouraged. I got soooo many complements on my press ons. The only problem is my nails are stupid shaped so I have to do a lot of modifying (fileing nail bed and sides) to the press ons. Soon imma start trying dip. But I just wanna encourage you!!!! You can do it!!!!

I bought some colored “acrylic” from amazon. When I put my brush of monomer in it it would NOT stick. I thought I was ripped off. Maybe it’s this stuff 💅🏾 im going to try tonight
Hey love just thought I’d let you know dip powder is still acrylic it’s just a more finely cut acrylic so it should still bead up it just doesn’t last as long as regular acrylic would! So I hope this helps you love!

Hi sooo you have no idea how much this video touches my heart. I’m getting into doing my own nails and using the dip powder kit for the 2nd time later this week & clicked on yours. I am in awe over you choosing a Mickey design & that being the video I chose (I didn’t see it in the thumbnail) bc my sisters name/nickname is Mickey, and we all associate Mickey Mouse with her, and she died in January. So everytime I see Mickey Mouse on random shirts and just it’s resurgence lately, it feels like a sign from her. It depends on the color of the light. Indoor shes probably using a bright warm tone light for filming, which will bring out the green tones, outdoor lighting is a warm tone but because of the intensity and the blue refraction from the sky, its going to wash out the green tones and turn blueish. It's the same reason your hair color looks different in different lighting.
