I’ve seen that people have been told that dip powder is “healthier” for your nails rather than acrylic but in reality it’s not because dip powder is just finely milled acrylic💀
Yeah and from my experience you can use monomer with most dip powders
Really? So would gel tips be a better solution for trying to keep your natural nails healthy? My thumbs tend to crack and break at the corners.
Colors 4 Vana I’ve seen it advertised like that before but I really don’t know if it’s truly any better.
With gel you have to be super careful not to flood your cuticles, leave it on your skin for long periods of time, or in general just over do it. Over the last year I developed contact dermatitis and that is no joke! It is super painful and comes in different forms. Which sucks since they’re so many cute designs I wanna do🥲
Colors 4 Vana it also might be worth checking out nail hardeners, or those nourishment polishes to help out with your nails.
@@colors4vana293 Acrylics don't damage your nail over prep does. Gel tips and acrylic are preped the same way x

Love the video Evie. You could try doing dip powder with a form to see if it will hold up as good as a form. You could also try doing dip nails with regular acrylic to compare it to actual dip powder. These colors are gorgeous though😍

Hey I have a tip you might like to try! So I saw a lady take paper cupcake liners and put her powder in there. 1)they're flexible so you won't dent your nails 2)they could save some mess if the jars are small like if u make a custom color 3)easy to funnel back into your containers 4)they're cheap. You might even have some already! It was just something I thought I'd share.

I really like the way these nails turned out; the colors are so rich!! Kiara Sky is more pricey, but I think its soooo worth it1 The hardest part for me with dip nails is the smearing of the base as I push the nail into the powder. I've tried sprinkling it on, but I don't think it comes out as evenly coated. But everything can be fixed when filing and shaping. Thanks for your detailed explanation. 💅🏼❤️❤️❤️

I've been going off other videos trying to get down these dip nails. And I just want to say out of the 3 tutorials I did, yours turned out the best. I watched this one and the Kiss dip nail video. I think it's because you do the first dip down the center and build a nice apex AND not doing your cuticles every dip!! The other tutorials I followed, the cuticles were so thick and I didn't like it at all. So Thank You!! 💅🏼💜
