I love Chicago residential property. The houses are mostly brick and very sturdy. 100 year old houses look great and not long in tooth. Chicago has very high quality housing stock that can be rehabbed and modernized.
I grew up in a raised ranch in Chicago and still live in a raised ranch. Mine has a stone front and nice cast concrete details that look distinctive. It's very comfortable and easy to decorate and make modern. I love the Prairie style houses that sit side by side with ranches in my neighborhood. They look natural together and still look fresh to my eye.

I completely agree! Chicago has such a rich architectural history and the houses are definitely built to last. It's amazing how well-preserved some of the older homes are.

Hi! Choosing the best suburb in IL greatly depends on your specific wants and needs, such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms you're looking for, the size of the home, amenities, school requirements, and whether you have children. With a budget of $1.2 million, you have a lot of flexibility. Suburbs like Hinsdale, Wilmette, and Lake Forest could be great options, but the best fit for you will vary based on your priorities. I'd love to discuss your preferences in more detail to help identify the perfect suburb for you. Feel free to reach out directly for a more tailored discussion. Thanks for reaching out, and I'm here to help with your home search!
