this might be completely wrong. So take it with a grain of salt. but i think the pins have different strength. Some hold stuff together harder then others, and they are color coded to know the difference between them. Atleast thats what i have been told. If its true or not, i don't know
Two reasons: 1 - easier to find in a sea of grey pieces 2 - they produce thousands of similar pieces with the same colour, when dividing into sets some will be required for specific colouring of the set but others will not, so they're allocated to sets that do not need to show them.
They said from next year you will be able to create your own things with the app and the new motor system. It was a video interview with the designer of this model and the 4x4 off roader...
@@StartBricking I dont mind the idea of being able to use the app as a secondary way to control it, but I just cant stand it when the only way to control an RC is through an app, it defeats the point of an RC device, heck RC stands for Radio/Remote controlled,
... true but that would add even more cost to what will be an already expensive set. Also follows what NXT is doing with the programmable sequences which you couldn’t get with a typical controller.
I have a question ... Will in 5 or 6 or 10 years, the iOS or Android application will be maintained for new versions of our phones? What will we do if this is not the case? It's not a toy that costs 10 euros ...
Maybe a toy, but perfectly engineered one... you will replace your phone after 3-4 years - this will last forever. And if you get bored with Liebherr - with this amount of bricks you can build almost whatever you want - each time something different. So I am not sure if that's so much money for years of play.
Well thats my problem. Assuming that lego technic costs awfully reduce with the time on the same type and size of sets, I guess a huge part of the cost is due to the new powered up functions, and that other enormous and nice lego monsters will be much cheaper soon. This thing is 2x more exoensive than same size sets because of the electronic part but its still salty.
I suppose so! When I started lego technic in 1988 everything pneumatic was truly pneumatic! Little rubber hoses and tubes conn3cting every part and actuating by switching levers!
hm, I am not convinced it can do that gradient tho. It seemed to tip and loose traction. And if it could do it, surely you would have demonstrated it climbing the entire obstacle.
