    Another brilliant video with some fantastic historical content. Thank you so much for putting these videos out there for us that call the Peak District our second home but can’t be up there as much as we would love. ❤️xx

    Brilliant Stu, your hikes are always so entertaining and tell such a great tale. The number of crashed aircraft always amazes me. When you lose something like a mic, you realise how much you needed it!

    Morning g Stu. Brilliant mate, so interesting. Thanks you for all the research and hard work that goes in to making these very informative videos. I think if I was a WW2 pilot I’d have been avoiding Shining Tor. Seems like it had a bit of a voodoo sign on planes!
    All the best mate, have a great weekend, despite the forecast being shite.
    Dave 😀🥾⛰

      Cheers for watching, I'd be the same as a pilot and definitely wouldn't fly an airspeed Oxford they seem to have crashed a lot. No such thing as bad weather just bad clothing 🤣🤣🤣 have a good un mate

    Lots of clumsy pilots out there

      It was more the technology they had at the time than being clumsy

      @@thepeakdistrictviking they have the whole sky so why risk it by flying so close to the ground?

    • @thepeakdistrictviking
      @thepeakdistrictviking  5 месяцев назад

      @neilgodfrey2669 they didn't know they were that close. In a lot of cases strong head winds meant they thought they had crossed the hills when they hadn't.
