    Fantastic wildcamp Stu. Those early morning clouds were amazing over Kinder. Stunning sunrise, too. That Edale Skyline Hike is a cracking hike. I did it last year, and it wiped me out. I think I didn't take enough food/water. I just plodded on and need to force myself to stop at intervals. What was the rehydrated meal like? I've not bought any and am interested in your review. It is great to get away from the Mam Tor crowd, too. It is amazing how quiet it is going up to Brown Knoll. Not many seem to go that way, but the views up there are amazing. I can't get my head around people dumping stuff and expecting others to clear up for them. Great video Stu, thanks for sharing.

      Thanks Chris. It was amazing and won't be the last that's for sure. The dehydrated meals are OK but bloody expensive, I'm sure I can find cheaper in the supermarket if I'm creative!!! Well done on the edale skyline. I might break it into two and camp over halfway 🤣🤣

    There was some great scenery/views in this video, so much so, that I now want to do a camp up there myself.
    That Edale skyline trip sounds good, if you want any company on it (or any camp), then let me know mate. Also, thanks for the shoutout.
    A brilliant video, nice and relaxing to view. Cheers Stu.🙂

    You are so very fortunate to live in a small Derbyshire village AND to be the type to get out and really know your hills & dales. So many people live in beautiful country villages but don’t walk anywhere these days. For me, apart from the stunning scenery, I love your Derbyshire accent and wait for that moment in each video when you have a rant .. and swear a lot for a brief moment lmfho! Love it!!

      @thepeakdistrictviking  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching. Totally agree with you on people not appreciating what's around them, partly why I do the films as a lot of people are oblivious to it all. As for the accent and ranting, that comes with the territory 🤣🤣🤣

    Cracking video Stuart that sunrise looks amazing as did the morning cloud inversion. Looked like a great camp spot. I also need to cut my pack weight as on a normal hike it's around 10,-12 kg as I carry a lot of fluids then on a camp it's like around 20+ kgs which along with my 21st carcass it's a challenge and half on inclines 😊

    • @thepeakdistrictviking
      @thepeakdistrictviking  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for watching. I think the pack itself might be part of my issue as it's a bit of a beast. There's not much else I can cut down tbh. Jaut have to get stronger and fitter 🤣🤣🤣

    Excellent video mate! Great to see you out wild camping, it's a totally different ball game, climbing those hills with a heavy pack on isn't it! You got some stunning photos of the sunrise with the clag flowing over the hills, very impressive. I'm just wondering if your mic has a stereo/mono setting on it as the sound was coming out of the left speaker only? I have a pair of Hollyland Lark 1 wireless mics (same as yours I think?) and if you are just using one it needs to be set to mono for the sound to come out of both speakers 👍

    • @thepeakdistrictviking
      @thepeakdistrictviking  3 месяца назад

      Cheers I'll check that out on the mic. I'd not noticed it on my laptop or TV but will double check the settings. Thinking about it it did look a bit odd when editing the audio. Mine is the mark 2 but very similar. Cheers for the advice. I'll certainly be getting fitter that's for sure 🤣🤣🤣
