"This is going to be a mess (repeated serveral times)" and just like that, mess was served for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea, George you have the gift of second sight!!!!
Loving your content. Finally got a PC to get into iRacing myself for xmas. Have a home made rig made out of off cuts of wood and a TX wheel/TLCM pedals. You dont need to spend serious cash to make simracing work. less than 2 weeks into iRcaing and i actually got my first win yesterday. Keep posting the vids!
@michaelstockwell9776 nice one mate! Glad your enjoying it. You're absolutely right, you can have a wicked time on a budget. There are plenty more videos to come, don't worry!
VIR is a fun track! A tip I learnt with the MX5... try and change gear at 7k rpm as that's peak power. Revving it more is definitely slower down the straights.
@@Deckchair_Racing How did you setup the force feedback? I see the F meter never really goes into the yellow, which means you're leaving feedback on the table. Have you tried to set it via the "auto" button?
@UpShiftTrackdayVideos I think i did, but you are now making me question that. I'll check next time I'm racing. Presumably pressing auto will just set it perfectly or do I need to mess about with stuff?
@@Deckchair_RacingTick auto box in the options, then go to a test drive. Set the black box to graphics adjustments. Do a few laps without going off but run over the kerbs, then on the black box screen you will see "auto" press it and it will set a value. Other things to note, set your wheel force to the max torque of your wheelbase. Set intensity to 100%. Check out Suellio Almeida's video on force feedback.
Hi George wot a race that was I have been doing iracing for 12 years on and off never had a win who needs a sim rig when u can have a deck chair brilliant mate.
I bought the Honda! Just need to find the time to get settled into it and do some races. Hopefully, now christmas is over, I can find some time to do more than 1 or 2 races a week and actually try some new stuff
It is a D license road race. So once you have the D license you can find it in the official tab. It runs at half past the hour, every hour, every day. It's a great introduction to multi class racing, though you need to not be in bottom split to actually see the M4's

First rule of bottom split, if it looks like a mess, floor it. Just cause I can see it coming doesn't mean I'm smart enough to avoid it haha
@@Deckchair_Racing in the oval world that is called ARCA brakes
That was a hell of a race! Very tidy for the majority, nicely done!
Thanks Erbie

Are you using one of those old TV's with the tubes in it for your monitor 😅......just kidding 😆😅
Lovely!
Absolutely love this track
I've been on it in my 1989 Porsche 944TS track car many times Great track & facility
I can’t comprehend how cool and calm you were when the guy went to blatantly block you…. And took out the person in the back by blocking.
@@Mr.Scootini I don't know, I wasn't that calm after that last turn mistake!
That was my favourite week so far!

This is the kind of useful information I wish iRacing would just tell you! Thank you so much mate!

Noooo, Reilly!
Well capitalised there, mate. Good drive
Thanks a lot mate!
Nice!
Maybe next time, do your subscribe pitch down the straight rather than in the twisties right after an overtake haha. Great race. I enjoyed watching
It's hard enough to remember to do it as it is! Sometimes, I've just got to get it out while I remember haha. Glad you enjoyed the video though
I have yet to try any pcc yet, it looks great fun
It is, you should definitely give it a go!
Mazda and Formula Vee are the best races to watch. They provide a lot of action and not just "follow the leader".
Absolutely agree. They just seem to provide really close racing
Great racing and congrats of winning!
Also how to register to PCC race? Are they in official tab or somewhere else? And on what days are they?

i hate it bc i had to quit when i was wrecked in the pepsi car
That was ridiculous what happened to you on the back straight. He nearly got me as well. No idea what he was doing
