2:04 I believe this spin was because you didn't blip the throttle (aka revmatch) on downshift, causing the engine RPMs to be too low and locking the rears briefly, causing you to spin. All you need in the MX-5s is a small blip on downshifts. It doesn't happen in other instances because you are downshifting while going straight. Notice how the car really rotates on downshift while you're turning and downshifting (and not revmatching). At higher speeds, this is what causes you to spin. Edit: You mention your error a minute later, and yeah, gotta remember that on every downshift!
Yeh, it got me good for a while when I started in the MX-5s. Couldn't work it out for the life of me and then did what I should have done way earlier and googled it. I'm not getting caught by it anymore, though, which is an improvement
In the IRacing car menu and while you're in the pits and in the car, go to options and set the option on the first page for driving aid to auto blip, you probably know this by now but if not it is good to know

Thanks for the tip. I've actually just learnt to do it through practice but it definitely would have helped at the start
