    I love judge Doorbent! 😍 Thank you for your judging Jimmy! I just want to update, that after watching all angles my incident got penalty removed by the stewards (also Im not wide in that corner im as much as possible on apex because you CANOT touch that yellow sausage in ACC at all).😅😰

      The jardier incident was bad race craft from the black car. He had compromised your line into the corner and should have backed off so he could apex and exit the corner with more speed to attack again. It's sad too many people try an hang on in rather than setting up the pass further down the track. So many sim racers attack into a corner rather than focusing on setting up the exit and compromising your opponent.

    • @marchelligaming
      @marchelligaming 9 месяцев назад +3

      They shouldn’t have removed the penalty, due to if there would be no contact you would have driven black car of the road, so they removed it due to people crying on the internet, and you msking a fuss about it, due to people like you eho think when they pusg somone off it is not a penalty but if roles get reversed it is s penalty.

    • @Feanor0404
      @Feanor0404 9 месяцев назад +15

      @@marchelligaming I would say there was enough room on the outside. On this corner track limits are very forgiving and because its a fast corner where you want to carry as much speed as possible, cars are almost always on the grass with left tyres. That is a normal racing line through there. So there was room left for entire corner exit. It would be tight but both cars could have made it safely. Racing incident in my opinion.

    As an ACC regular, the Jardier clip needs a *tiny* bit more context. The reason Jared is maybe slightly wide of the apex is because that curb will absolutely fuck you up. There's a very good reason for him to leave more room than usual.

    On the Silverstone punt, I don't think blue is as at fault. They just had two significant incidents, the latter involving getting bonked in the side, I think they're worried about having recieved steering damage that would manifest itself most under braking, thus staying way to the side and going long, leaving room for passing.

  • @henrychurch7362

    Normally in this series I agree with Jimmy most of the time but this episode there was quite a few where I was leaning the other way. For example the first one, the Lambo is at fault, merc was well alongside so should have been allowed more space. Last one, imo the nature of the corner, (having to be on a certain line to take it flat for example), is irrelevant if there is a car well alongside, and in any corner it doesn't matter if the car alongside is trading paint or is on the complete other side of the track, they are still alongside so should be left space, even if it means the next corner or sector is going to be heavily compromised or very awkward.

    For that first incident it looks kind of innocuous at first glance, but it seems like it was definitely on the Blue car. Slowing it down to 0.25% speed and looking at it, the blue turns into the AMG at the last second, where they would have both made it otherwise. Could definitely still be mild netcode tbf though.

    I would like to point out the lack of avoiding action on the part of the green Cadi at Silverstone. When the blue car spun there was a great opportunity for the green car to dip around the back of him. It would have been an off track overtake, but the car in front was not in control and so it should have been fine. Also, the final incident, while you expect someone to NOT drop an anchor on the racing line into a fast corner, there was time to at least try to swerve around him on the inside of the corner and just follow the black car through. I would mostly judge that video as Insufficiently Opportunistic Racing on the part of the green car.

    That such minor things can turn into full-blown penalties and judgements is such a downer for new racers. You can be going through a turn doing everything right and then some guy tries to pull alongside, bumps you and dies, then you've got people saying you did this and that wrong. I've never seen another esport where you're expected to protect your opponents from themselves like this. If you've given someone enough room that should be all that's required. If someone decides to send it through a corner to try and get round you and ends up evaporating then that's on them.

  • @jvd_rx

    about prototype and gt collisions, the simple rule (just like in real life) is that GT's just follow the racing line, and its up to the prototype to for overtaking it correctly. ofcourse if the prototype is already next to it, than a GT car just cant turn in. but that are mostly in slow speed sections. important with this type of races that you need a bit of patience and time it correctly. even though i wasnt the outright fastest with prototypes, i saved a ton of time with this. in case i was in a GT car I kept my eyes in the mirrors aswell, I would already position my car a little bit more clear just to indicate to the prototype behind me where he should pass me. it is working together really aswell, just to make sure you both not crash and not loose time otherwise.

    I will say with the Jardier incident, whilst he's a little wide of the apex, that apex has a nasty arse sausage kerb that's pretty lethal if you catch it wrong.
    In qualifying I'd push right up against it, but in races I tend to give it a bit of a wide berth as it can easily unsettle the car and throw you into the gravel. Side by side it's also probably wise to avoid as get it wrong and you'll crash into the car next to you anyway

    I think Jimmy got the last one wrong. Was it a half-hearted move? Yes, but why does that matter. The rules don't say "All attempts to overtake must be full send." LOL! However, they do say that you have to leave space. The inside car had plenty of overlap so that's not in question, and it's not their fault if the other driver had poor situational awareness. If you're on a single screen, you need to use a spotter, use your mirrors, and/or map look left and right buttons.

    I think those were all called pretty well, except the last one. Totally disagree on that one. McLaren may be giving it a poor attempt here(in the sense of the realities of Sim Racing), but he is well alongside into the corner and is hugging the apex very well. BMW turns in on him, that is absolutely on the BMW who just has to give the room, and if that means he has to get out of the throttle, well then that is that way. Tough noogies. BMW is 100% at fault in that last clip. The inside car is on the kerbing when the BMW turns into him. The BMW was driving as if the inside car wasn't even there. Probably because he's trying to follow the exact line of the car in front of them both. You can argue it's a crap move by the inside car, I'd argue that's irrelevant. The car on the inside still hit the apex and is seemingly still able to hold that line. Until, of course, the BMW just turns across him as if he wasn't even there.
    I think the white BMW is a textbook case of a hotlapper hotlapping in a race. They are just trying to go as fast as they can regardless of the existence of others right alongside them.

    Thanks for the great content Jimmer - I disagree with the last one. That move is fine there, it was executed so poorly the poor guy never had a chance to complete the overtake. Best case scenario he gets a better line into the corner, uses all of the curb and some grass, and (if needed) gives a lift as to make sure he doesn't hit the car to his right. They would end up side by side into the next turn and pov likely wont be able to go around the outside. Not a great spot to pass without a mega run.

    GTPs trying to pass GTs in the kink at Road America are complete effing idiots. That is a flat out, zero room for correction corner. GTs either make it or they go off at racing speed but it gives me anxiety at how many faster class cars act like they are lords of racing and have the right to pass you at any point they wish. So infuriating at their god complex considering there is a long straight in which they will easily pass the GTs just a couple seconds later.
    Also the blue car in the second clip needs to turn the damn racing line off. He sticks to it which in my opinion contributed heavily to the wreck. He might not have even been paying attention because the line is telling him how to drive.

    The apex to the penultimate corner at Kyalami is a landmine, I don't think it's reasonable to expect Jardier to be closer to it, there was only about a tires width he could have been closer without crashing into the outside car. Racing incident as the car on the outside did not leave enough room for the car on the inside.

    Iracing should make a rule like, if who caused the crashed flashed the light before do such a dumbass move, it will be "an insult to injury" and make his punishment harsher.. Is becoming out of control recently

    As a big multi class league racer, that caddy into the Ferrari should result in jail time, and is exactly why a lot of people shouldn’t be allowed near a prototype

    During the 1st clip the AMG could have made a better decision (aswell as the lambo) but unfortunately once your slick hits the sand Then onto the grass ( watch the ass end lol its is kicking to the left due to the throttling on the grass/sand you cant just turn directly onto the track in that short time it dropped 2 gears with the kick out while still accelerating. It drops to 68 MPH but goes back up to 70 and RPMs were still climbing) he wasn't getting any front end grip probably being thats where the hit can in . After contact probably should have just dropped the throttling stay of the brake an get front together.

    On clip 2. The Miata’s. The blue car is at fault. Something must of happened prior to the video clip for him to be that slow. When you get passed that quickly on the left and then right four wide you are off pace. The third car was carrying momentum like you have to doin the Miata’s and the blue car drifted into him

    I think for the Audi Touring car one, it looks like the blue car is trying to go for the switch back but the Audi on the inside just stops on the apex and isnt really turning into the corner. So i would put it as a racing incident as the Audi is nearly perpendicular to the corner at the apex and is going very slow.

  • @tomleemusic249
    @tomleemusic249 9 месяцев назад

    I'd say for the two audi's (red & blue), it's more of a racing incident due to the fact that the red had been physically penalised.
    It was great racing until the point of impact on the left hander at the main point contact, we are interested in.
    Red car brakes late, outbraking himself, yes all be it ahead of the blue car. If you look at the angle of turn in, there is no way for him to make that turn cleanly. He has come in too shallow to the apex. Causing him to drive in straighter trajectory.
    Could the blue car give him more room? I think so. Hence, why I'd say it's more of a racing incident. Both drivers are at fault, with red outbreaking himself and with an incorrect angle to take the corner, and then blue, not leaving more room.

    4 minutes in the blue is Def at fault. If the contact didn't happen there it would have happened hundredths later since his line is cutting to that kink on the left and there's already barely room for a car on the left

    This is really simple! The Aston Martin is completely at fault. The Inside car was ahead, racing a proper line and did not deviate. The Aston Martin initiated the contact and ,as a result, put himself in the grass. The inside driver just filled in the space vacated by the Aston Martin. The Martin wasn't pushed, always had plenty of room before the contact was made... just poor driving on the part of the Aston Martin

    In 3:40, I think the blue car is at fault. Because there is a corner that is almost not a corner but you have to steer a bit to the left there. And I think there red car thought that and did not go to the left fully. If he have done that he may not be able to go side by side with the blue car so left a bit of a space to the left there to properly pass from there. However, blue car sees that red car coming but still keeps turning into the red car like it is not there. And also a reactive move. So blue car is at fault for me.

    I kinda don't agree with the last clip (GT4s @ Zandvoort). The McLaren is always at the white line. BMW seems to misjudge and turn in too much. Not really racing online often but I think making moves is not only about overtaking but also to make the guy in front a bit compromised to prepare the overtake.

  • @MagnusQuake
    @MagnusQuake 9 месяцев назад +1

    9:42 is easy, during the slow frame, you see the blue car not move his angle of turn the entire turn. Like not even a hair. He planned his move at the START of turning and kept out through all the way. The black cat you can see go left and right and left and right, an obvious sign of him being the only one making changes to his turning. Therefore he at fault for picking the one that causes collision as is clear the other driver had no input in that

    idk that Jardier clip I don't see how anyone could see that and think that Jardier was at fault. I can see an argument for it being no fault racing incident but I think that what it looks like to me is a situation where that black car is the one at fault but his bad choice ended up only really hurting himself so it feels weird to put him at fault. But the black car turned into Jardier and if you look at the point where the contact forced the cars apart there was still plenty of space with in the track limits for black to be able to drive which may not have been his preferred racing line but you can't just force yourself into people especially when you are technically behind the person (although probably close enough to be called side by side). That being said I'm a complete amateur so maybe it's more nuanced than that but that's just what common sense tells me.

    With the last one you could definitely tell the driver is very non-confrontational and has low confidence in their abilities, both in the caption and in the driving. Staying off the racing line trying not to get in other people's way. Its a race Gary, get in there and be competitive. Also, its a game! It's okay to make mistakes and to miss the shots you take, but at least take those shots.

      Two corners that could not be more different if they tried.
      One was a corner that Jardier reached the apex first for, and the other driver turned into him AFTER the apex. Also, the risk of cataclysmic damage with such an incident is virtually non-existant. Jardier also barely missed the apex AT ALL, to the extent that it virtually made zero difference to whether the contact could be attributed to him. EVEN THEN, Jardier didn't leave a lot of room on the outside, so even with all these mitigating circumstances the contact may have happened regardless.
      Versus washing to the whole OTHER SIDE of the circuit into a car holding their line, not even attempting to make the corner properly, into the BACK of the car ahead, all way before the apex. Lewis didn't make a move, didn't gain a position to edge ahead and have ANY entitlement to space on the inside, and there was plenty there too.
      Jardier and the other driver had SO MUCH more of a right to their positions than Lewis had to barge his way into the inside of Max.
      The scale of the "mistake" is not even of the same magnitude, so the comparison is IMO very dishonest.
      All the teasing before the British GP about a coincidental possibility of Max's 30+ point lead being cut down due to DNF also makes me HIGHLY skepical of the accidental nature of the crash.
