As a huge fan of Claymore also, it too led to curiosity towards the earlier Berzerk. I was hoping to start with the anime, with such an impressive "Berzerk backlog" to catch up on in the manga lol. That is very true that the Figma/FiguArts type figures def look best on robots or characters with armor etc minimizing that "Pinocchio effect" lol. (My bro just picked up the FiguArts King Joe for example which looks great with joints.)

That P1 Guts and Casca are on my radar, I had hoped we would get a 1/3 Griffith to pair with my 1/3rd guts from P1. I’d like to get into claymore maybe I’ll jump into it when I’m done with fist of the North Star.

Awesome video as usual. I really digged the overview of Berserk figures. Your Guts figure is awesome, he looks so daunting . Also the analogies are great again.

Welcome back Han! I remember watching the Claymore anime years ago.. probably around mid 2000s. I loved what I saw (especially that 3rd ep; the flashback/origin iirc) and was a little disappointed with the ending on how it wasnt as conclusive as I thought it would be. Now that I'm older and are reading & buying mangas on the side with figure collecting, Claymore has been one of my 'to get' list. Not quite Holy Grail Status but close up there. As for Berserk, I got into the manga pretty late. I keep hearing people around saying it's good but I told myself maybe I'll wait for it to finish before I get it. But as I was waiting for the next volume of some other series I'm following to come out, I bit the bullet and decided to pick the first 3 volumes of Berserk. I did not regret that decision. Slowly, I accumulated series in volumes and now patiently waiting for Vol.42. RIP Miura, may god bless his soul. All the 1/4 scales looks awesome! Though I have my eyes set on the Guts & Casca during the Eclipse. Whenever someone knows of Berserk and mentions the Eclipse; this figure, is the quintessential image of what it is.
I agree! The ending of Claymore was so anticlimactic and it left me feeling empty? You collect mangas as well? You're a beast. Are the Claymore mangas difficult to come by? I got into Berserk pretty late as well. I REFUSED to get into it, but once I took the dive. It unlocked something deep within me and I can never go back. ᕙ(`▿´)ᕗ I also want to start collecting the Berserk mangas...one day. T^T Are you buying the individual mangas or the deluxe editions? I'm trying to talk myself out of getting that beautiful large scary Guts & Casca figure.... >_
@@hangoof I wouldn't say Claymore manga is hard to come by, probably the singles, yeah but I have my eye set on the box-set instead. They're usually sitting around 150-200 USD at the moment. As for Berserk manga, I got the singles because I loved the cover art much more compared to the deluxe edition. Though I've been told that the deluxe edition does have the cover arts of the singles, they're just in the back pages somewhere.

Up to that point, I tremendously enjoyed Berserk's artwork and would say it was (and probably still is) one of my favourite anime, but after experiencing that and Parasyte: The Maxim, let's just say I decided I would never going into a new series completely blind again. ლ(｡-﹏-｡ ლ) I am enjoying the resurgence of interest in the fandom in older manga/anime franchise and the manufacturers adding them to their product lines. I hope, alongside Berserk, scales (and figures) of more franchises get made in years to come. Just keep the MSRP and shipping cost in check please. ٩(｡•́‿•̀｡)۶
