@@PabloHenrique92He did stick with the band of the falcon right to the end and didn't desert. Seems his traits are partly an act and realistically he's extremely loyal.
@@TBIcel he was one of the commanders of the Band of the Falcon, so his face was extremely recognizable, he was extremely inept on his own so he made the most sane decision by sticking with them giving the position he was put in thanks to Gayffith's vileness, now lets compare his death to Judeau's, Pippin's and Gaston's, its no surprise to me that many people theorize that he was the grape horse that tried to have his way with Farnese

They did my boy pippin dirty, if he was just a bit faster he’d be alive because he thought he could tank the apostles, and if he knew just how strong they were he would’ve dodged and evaded more but it was the first time he’s fought them in their released forms so I don’t hold it against him.
For having a hobbit name Pippen is one cool Chad.
I agree with the ranking! and "redemption sex" is THE most appropriate expression to describe Griffith's actions back then 😂
This channel is honestly fantastic. I recently watched Berserk 1997 and wanted to talk to someone to share how I felt about the story (especially after the eclipse - wtf!) and to hear their opinions to help me understand what had happened and how and the different roles characters played. But I had no-one who I knew read or watched the story. Then, when trying to come to peace with the events of the eclipse, I came across this channel. The attention to detail and themes you interpret from the story are exactly what I was looking for. I was also considering reading the manga but didn’t know if it was worth it... mainly because I feel it'll be extremely depressing, but you have convinced me. Thank you
The manga is worth the read IMO. Absolutely beautiful artwork and some of the best storytelling I’ve had the pleasure to read. I’m glad you like the channel!

@jacobjaramillo3192 absolutely, all valid points. I think some sections were definitely better than others. Moreover, I’d agree that the outcome of Berserk being finished is bleak. Still I’m thankful for every new chapter we get. Curious to see how the story unfolds.

I think if you dropped current Rickert in the Golden Age arc, he'd be 4th due to his strategy and engineering. My boy held back a high-level apostle as a normal guy.

The strongest band of the hawk members based on the manga:
1-2. Griffith / Guts (debatable)
3. Casca (was said to be the strongest member excluding Griffith and Guts)
4. Judeau (He killed some apostles saving casca)
5. Pippin (Pippin is the strongest when it comes to strength excluding Guts and Griffith)
6. Corkus (Survival Instinct)
7. Rickert (more useful than Corkus, but can't defeat Corkus)
I think this video more accurately ranks each character and goes in good depth when providing explanations for each rank while some of your statements miss logic (but is always open to interpretation).
Pippin is blatantly stronger than Griffith in raw physicality. In combat, it it only in swordsmanship that Griffith significantly exceeds Pippin (not talking about mental factors, like tactical astuteness). And, while it is unclear exactly how many apostles Pippin fought and killed in the Eclipse, he did fight many more than Judeau and Casca (who only finished of one that Judeau had wounded). Therefore, Pippin's raw physicality should put him at number 3 (not number 2 because Griffith is far superior in swordsmanship which outweighs Pippin's physicality - in a 1v1 situation anyway).
As for top spot, Guts has to take it. Both are legendary swordsman, though they fight very differently. While Griffith fights with more tact and flair, Guts is reckless and brutal. As Guts grew into a man, he became so strong that the strength behind his brutal swordsmanship outweighed Griffith's tact - demostrated by how Guts smashed through Griffith's blade when leaving the Band of the Hawk.

@@aydincakiroglu752 obviously the walking 400 pound wall of muscle is stronger than both Guts and griff, keep in mind that him being so much physically stronger does not mean he's a more capable fighter, both of them would likely defeat him
People put Guts and Griffith on the same level.
I say Guts is far above Griffith combat wise because Griffiths primary strength is his strategy. Not saying Griffith is weak but Guts is a pure fighter in all aspects and imo would defeat Griffith 7/10 times if they fought. Griffith crumbles the moment he cant get a quick win.
People forget that Griffith defeated Guts just because he was only 15 years old at the time, extremely inexperienced(even tho he already had more combat experienced than most considering... well, his whole life really) and thick-skulled, when Guts left the Band of the Falcon(yep, it is Falcon, "Hawk" is a mistake in the english translation) that wasn't a duel, Guts didn't even tried, as a matter of fact Guts tried very hard to NOT PHISYCALLY HURT Griffith(while the bundle of wooden sticks was planning on parrying him and splitting Guts' head in half the whole time, possessive much?) haha

My favorite thing about Berserk is that no matter how much physically stronger the opponent is, smarts always wins over all (unless you’re going against the meat head that is Guts) awesome video!
You could argue that current guts no armor would be able to take on the main ones of the band of hawk by himself hata impressive enough

Corkus is my personal favorite hawk member. Sure the guy is the definition of a hater but he brings a lot of bluster and false bravado to the group which makes for some great comedic moments. He’s one of the only hawk members to trash talk Guts to his face… and while he is wrong sometimes his messages often carry some truth. Corkus is a lovable loudmouth asshole who I’m proud to call my favorite OG hawk member.
