Amazing transformation! I’m so encouraged by your videos. We are expecting our 6th baby and live in a 120 year old small farmhouse in MN on a 3 acre hobby farm (100% paid for!). You can buy a clear vinyl glass coating - just cut to fit, moisten, abd slide into place. Provides privacy and a 5% or so heat block
Wow, I love your new bedroom - the quilt is really beautiful! It was so entertaining watching Jason and the children move the mattress downstairs. What I really loved was seeing everyone working together so well. What a beautiful family!

That was exactly like someone giving birth... push, counter pressure, just a little at a time, some assistance to turn it the right way... 🤣 You guys did a great job persevering, it is always such a huge job to clear out kid spaces! The best piece of hope you gave all of us moms was that Bella used to be a pack rat, but now she is a minimalist. Hallelujah! 😉

Great job moving that king size mattress and most all the beds and bedrooms. James is speaking so clearly as a big boy now! Everyone pitched in so well.

Anytime I rearrange anything its a mess before I get done, & there's only 2 of us, so I can't imagine doing it for a house full. Moving that King mattress was hilarious.

It looks great. A lot of hard work moving everyone around but so worth it. Have you thought about getting one of the taller bed frames for your bed? It would give you a bunch more room to store things in baskets under the bed

Sooooo much can be stored in the “room” underneath but u can still sit up and have shelves on wall too

We have 11 children & I can't tell you how many times we have moved around the children into different rooms every time either a new baby was born or someone was moving out! 😂

I’m so glad you recorded all this and shared it! I was giggling like crazy through the whole mattress debacle 🤣 that is EXACTLY how my husband would have approached the challenge, literally down to the ratchet straps being too far away 😂 Just awesome. I love watching your channel and it’s so special “meeting” another Christian family with very similar values! We have 4 kids + 1 in the oven and we homeschool and homestead and all the things. And the projects….. SO many projects. 😂

I love how excited he was about the challenge of getting the mattress down 😂 my husband doesn’t have the patience. But I know you’re excited to have a regular room and how sweet telling you to go rest.. There’s always a little chaos before the calm. I have 5 kids so I can only imagine how stressful that was.

Ohhhhh soooo funny....I tell you, I'm 71 now and if I could live my life again I would have had 20 children...I was blessed with 3, I lost 2 at birth...but Lord I would have loved to have all those beautiful babies.... God bless you all and yours ❤

Wow it’s looking great! We just moved two kids rooms and it was a two day process so I can’t imagine 10 kids! We are blessed with 5 kiddos and I’ve really enjoyed your progress on the property and encouragement. You have a beautiful family! Can’t wait to see your sweet new baby on the video too!

Elsie I love that you said the video should be about neat and tidy. How precious and getting all your children to cooperate was unbelievable. Your mom is amazing to take care of all of you in a small space but that small space keeps you connected and you care about each other more than those that have their own bedrooms far away from each other.

I am truly enjoying your videos, my first one was watching you and your daughter making meals and freezing them (as in 5# of chicken,one meal) with veggies and rice or whatever. Omg unbelievable and you make it sooo easy to look at…as in doesn’t everyone make 3 meals a day for 9 or 10 or 11…I’m exhausted just watching but love them.

Haha my husband is the same way! He’s like was that a challenge? Are you saying I can’t do it? Well I’ll show you I can do it!! Wow that was a big project! The boys bunks are neat with all the shelves! I’m glad the girls have their own space now too! Hope the closets won’t take too long to finish so you can store everything you want to in them and free up more space!!
I only have four (now adult) kids, but i can so relate. I called reorganizing like this "controlled chaos."
I have a king size bed so I know the fun of moving one. The next time I get a new mattress I will get two twins! You will be happy with the new bedroom. Take care❤

I've never seen your channel and this was a doozies. All I can say is I couldnt handle the noise in the video. And I can't imagine living with it. I had only 2 boys. I'm 78 now so that says something about my noise tolerance. What a family you have! Blessings to all.

Just getting to this now. Been a busy work week. Looks like you figured out a good “flow” re: the house updates. The nuanced details will come together as you live in it longer. I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the function and the form before you know it. But there’s always a tad of chaos with any update. We need to do a kitchen update/facelift. But I have to wait until I’m in a good emotional place to have patience for the type of lifestyle adaptations that come along with that. I told my husband let’s plan on starting in spring. I always have more physical and emotional energy during that season. Lol.

That's an intense job. I'm one of 12 kids and I remember one time switching the boys and girls room and it was a mess. We also painted in between there as well. Then another time we split the girls into 2 rooms. Yikes. It makes a mess but it's so much better after

Shoe pockets work great for snow stuff. I hang a set under each coat hook set. Each kids gloves, hats, scarves and long socks go in their pockets.

We did consider that, but putting on cold boots in the winter doesn’t sound too fun 😆

I would make me a bed frame up off of the ground out of pallets. It should be economical and Jason could do it easily. I know you feel like you have tons of room now. Very nice!!
I’m so excited for y’all to have more space! Be careful how long you leave it without any airflow/frame/slats underneath. We have had to throw out TWO mattresses because of this… we also live in humid Houston even though we never leave off the air conditioner or heat. It took about 6 months. Totally moldy and ruined.

Hi Julie and Jason, I enjoy watching your videos and how resourceful, creative and hard working your family is. I also love that you keep it real and discuss down to earth topics, family issues etc. I have never been one to say anything negative but I was wondering if there is a window in the girls room in the loft or in the boys room? In Canada we are not allowed to have a designated bedroom without a window or door for escape due to a fire or other catastrophe. I know it’s not my business but since you are sharing your life on RUclips and I saw the bedrooms it’s bothered me.

Hi Janice! Yes we do have a fire escape door in the loft. It leads out to a ladder. Hopefully we never have to use it! 😄

Yes i think they’re sturdy enough. Not super deep but I could fit some of my smaller books up there!
