Janet Jackson's musical emancipation. This entire album was a MASTERPIECE. Janet had something to say, something to prove, and she said it and proved it with nothing but power. Control is her story. In my opinion, it remains one of the most important R&B-pop albums of the last 40 years.

But they are the main TARGET group, for several reasons - e.g. an average teen is not so individualistic like a well-grown-up and has constant needs of belonging somewhere, hence they are way easier to manipulate. And they can spend their PARENTS' money which we cannot deny because our children are our future.

Check out the video for " That's the way live goes" Which was on her "Janet" album( 1993). She went down to less than 130 lbs. She also says she was at her heaviest in her" When I think of you video" which I think came out in late 1986 or early 87.

Individual artist with talent and worked hard to get where she was she may have cared the jack name, but she’s had to work hard for whole life have number one to the world, singing dancer ass off to keep the legendary status that you’ve had. Anyone else on a Janet Jackson marathon right now? Honestly love this song and love how she's like telling apart of her story thru this song like shes taking control of her career her music and is breaking away from her dad who had alot of control over her past 2 albums/music glad she broke away so we got to see the true Janet come out of her shell more.
This was prbly one of the best moves Janet made music wise just doing music on her own and constantly reinventing her music and trying different stuff I mean rhythm nation? That was a masterpiece along with control even some of her later albums were great like janet. and velvet rope and loved her Collab with Michael just wished they got to perform it live at least once together in the 90s.
I mean the choreo Paula and Tina landon did for Janet and then others in the 90s and 00s for Janet some the choreo Janet did like that's some great choreo genius.

This is the Janet that was a force to be reckoned with. Everything from the music, choreography/energy, music video concepts, created a shockwave of new talent that will never be forgotten with the generation that experienced this era. Hell, she is still prime but this era was a breakthrough. Michael's sister, a phenomenon of her own talents as well, raised the bar in pop culture.

Again, Beyonce, Ciara and quite a few others owe a lot to Janet Jackson for breaking down barriers in pop music and incorporating fashion, fun, hard work, and music all in one phenomenal package that MADE you want to jump up on that stage and dance along with her AND her producers.
