I've got a 16 coronado glider. Detroit 60. Absolutely love it. Almost 800k with zero issues other than 1 injector. Went ahead and did all 6 while they had it opened up. Get around 7.5 average. Edit: that's a 12.7. You can tell by the intake. Just sayin. Beautiful though.
You could ask for a good set of torx bits, 😂. You are going to need them to routinely tighten every interior screw you can find. I replaced all the broken plastic in our trucks, and I make sure to periodically check all the screws, that's the key to keeping everything tight, less squeaking and breakage.
@@TheRoadhammer379 yes definitely I know how that freightliner interior is gets loose and rattles fast if not taken care. Gunna get some rubber strips and double sided 3m tap along with super glue to keep it held together
@@MakeMoneyTrucking, performance wise, I love our trucks. They look good, mine are all Detroit, built and tuned to run hard. As I said in a different comment, don't let anyone disassemble your dash if you can help it, mechanics are rough and freightliner interior trim is pricey. And one more thing to keep your eye on, there's a flimsy bracket attached to each S cam rod from the drum to the brake chambers. They crack and break because there's so much weight being supported. All of ours have broken and we fabbed up much heavier brackets. Unfortunately, my brother didn't notice the crack that formed in the spider plate from the unsupported S cam rod. It was an expensive ordeal, and very very difficult to find a replacement spider plate. Be safe, and that Shaker is a beauty, good find.

Nice truck, but that's not a 14L, it's a 12.7, the easiest way to tell that it's a 12.7 is to look at the intake, the intake on a 12.7 and intake on on a 14L or totally different that's a 12.7 I own a 12.7, I know them inside and out, but it is a nice looking truck
I have 3 coronado gliders, and regret it every day. They are built cheap, fit and finish is mediocre at best and they squeak and rattle like baby toys. Make sure you go through the entire cab and sleeper once a month and tighten every screw you can find. Dash skeleton is prone to cracking, my trucks are 2015,2016 and 2018, every one has cracked plastic around the bolts. Dash skeletons are available aftermarket from Miami Star in Florida. Also, the gliders are notorious for electrical issues, so be aware. And if you have to have any work done behind the dash, like heater core or air valves, I highly recommend removing your dash pieces yourself, mechanics are infamously ignorant, using impact drivers to retighten dash screws. Other than the interior issues, I love my Coronados.
Yes I'm aware of crappy freightliner interior 😒. I had a Columbia and it was pretty rattly inside. My 08 century was better but like you said a stupid mechanic before I had bought it broke almost every tap that connects to the skeleton I dont let mechanics 10 feet from my interiors lol I love everything except for interior luckily I didn't buy a Fitzgerald glider which I hear they are the worst. That will be my next truck if I can find one !
@@MakeMoneyTrucking, I have heard the 14L is a screamer when tuned.
