My husband bought me a nice sewing machine n I never had the guts to learn. It was in the box. We bought everything for our children. Covid came and my husbands job closed down. 2 months later after 6 years of not being able to have a baby... we got our surprise. Tight budget n a baby on the way in 15 weeks. I took out my sewing machine n started making burp cloths n crib fitted sheets. Lines are a little crooked but it looks pretty well. Clothes intimidates me especially the sleeves. 😬. I’m ready to learn.
Thank you :) for your fast reply too. Love your videos..I'm 76 and having temporary sight loss in one eye. Enjoying learning and listening to you. Can't wait to start sewing again,,,it's been years. But I still have 3 machines and a serger :))
My pleasure! My Grandmother had the same with her eye and just got her surgery, so her eye sight is doing better - I hope for the same for you! Wow, 3 machines and a serger - that's great, I hope you can get back to sewing sometime soon :)
Thanks for sharing the Russian site. They have many nice patterns for affordable prices. I just purchased a coat pattern with bunny ears on the hood. I do not read or speak Russian but the instructions come with many pictures. It should not be a problem. Happy sewing!
Wiveka, absolutely -and majority of the kids patterns are pretty straight forward, too! I love their free patterns - I have used them many time! Happy Sewing to you too, my dear!
Thank you! Just found out that i am going to be a greatgrandmama for the fourth time. Need some different classic patterns for both boy and girl. Thank you again!
Once Upon a Sewing Machine Cecilia Puff Tee. Titchy Threads Small Fry Skinny Jeans. 5 out of 4 lil Luna skirt. I second the Ollie Bomber Jacket as well!
Jenny, hi there! Yes, uploading every Friday and Saturday, giving more tot he community and growing this community/channel, too! Thank you for such a lovely feedback - I really try hard to make sure that all videos bring something good and useful!

Thank you so much for the info. I never thought I want to sew for my lo just because boy outfits are so bland, but your videos made me want to sew for my boy lol May I ask what kind of fabric you use for the neck band or cuff? Thank you!
Love you’re videos! Thank you for being so encouraging and a good teacher. I am a beginner, but I love sewing and I feel ready to sew clothes. My problem is I am horrible at math, and have trouble getting those numbers. Looking for the free patterns here where do I go to get them? Going to try and make a shirt for my 9 month old granddaughter.
Congratulations!!! Natasha - so happy for you! Haven't seen you in a while here - so super happy that this video came right in time! I use fabric remnants for baby clothes too - and it has been working out great! Happy sewing!
Thank you dear 😊 it’s a little girl. So that’s new for me haha. I like the sets you recommend as I’m also not a fan of wasting fabric on dresses for a few uses. 😂
@@natashacandicehenry9475 totally! I only made her a few dresses for special occasions ( and I made them bigger, so that she can wear them later) but it is uncomfortable for them to crawl in a dress, it kind of gets everywhere. Lol, I love blue color, so a few sets that I made for her look a little boyish, so when we go grocery shopping people usually say :" what a pretty little boy you have!" I always feel so bad!!! Lol
Thanks for the great videos! I heard you mention here and in another video that you'd link to a video on how to hem the baby tee sleeves, with scalloped edges. But I can't find the link. Maybe I'm just not seeing it! Do you mind pointing me to that video please?
Annette, click on "settings (gear icon)" then "subtitles/CC" and then choose "auto generated" and then you can click on any language you want - choose English and you will be all set!
Hey guys, Alisa now has a facebook group dedicated to free sewing patterns. You can search "Free sewing patterns (Thoughtful creativity)" if you would like to join and be a part of the creative community.
Click on captions icon of the video and it will give you an option to turn it off or to turn on English, or other language options if applicable. I am not sure what is the beta way to describe it without actually showing, but you can ways Google "how to turn in captions in English on a RUclips video." That's how I found it out!
Wow, talking about that newborn hat; it definitely wouldn't have fit my baby, he has a big head, his head circumference is in the 98 percentile. He is also tall, he'll be 3 months old in a few days and already in 3-6 mos clothes, he got too tall for the 0-3 mos clothes a couple weeks ago; when we were still in the hospital when he was born, he was too tall for the newborn size pajamas I had packed, luckily I had also packed a 0-3 mos onesie and pants.
Congratulations to the new parents! Yes, same here, mine is 2.5 now and she is tall, like yours in 98 percentile, everything is too short, so sewing for her is fun and useful!
Carla, I by in remnant section for my toddler - and it is always 50% off at Jo-Ann's. I am pretty conservative when it comes spending money on sewing, so I really try to make it so that sewing actually saves me money. I made a few videos on this topic.
Anne, thank you! Let's see - the link in the above comment is for Rikki's account, a subscriber who made a lot of bomber jackets for kids and who suggested the last pattern on the list, my Instagram account link is at the very bottom of the infobox. I hope this helps and I hope these patterns will come in handy - I love them! Thank you again!

Hi Alisa, you've got my sewing juices flowing! Could you please show where to find these free patterns? I'm a Ouma for the first time.
I wish fabric was more affordable. Pretty prints run 14 bucks a yard or more. Is cheaper to buy it.
