PLUS, while we leave the fruits whole for Easter buns (which I can't stand!), I've never had a fruit cake where the fruits weren't blended smooth (so there are no fruit chunks). Also, I've never seen any nuts 🤔. Note: I have had terrible ones though cuz not everybody can (or should) bake 😑.

You should try German fruit cake. It's called Stollen and I would eat the Dresdner Christstollen. You can get it with Marzipan, Poppy seeds or just "plain" fruit. I'm black and make it every year for Christmas season. It's delicious.
