In today's explore, we venture inside this large abandoned hotel with a troubled past. Over the last 15 years, this hotel has gone through many changes. It was rebranded 5 different times, likely in hopes to save it from closure. In 2007 the hotel was under the day's inn brand. Visitors complained about the hotel being outdated and stuck in the 80s. Years later the hotel was then rebranded to the knight's inn. 2 Years later it again changed and went under the brand Ramada. All during this time, customers still complained about the hotel being outdated, dirty, and of poor value. During the many rebranding's of the hotel, the attached restaurant also changed consistently. There was a steakhouse, a breakfast joint, an Italian restaurant, A don Cherries, and finally a Vietnamese restaurant.
Based on reviews, the hotel didn't start to improve until its last brand change in 2018. Renovations finally started getting underway to improve the severely outdated building. With a refresh, reviews started to become positive and guests generally found that the hotel was worth the stay. While the outside of the building still looked drab, the inside was modern, clean, and had good amenities.
So why did the hotel end up closing? Well, simply put, when the pandemic hit, the hotel was forced to close. After reopening they did see people return but that wasn't enough. Renovations were also never completed and the third floor to this day still has half done work. By 2021 the hotel closed down never to reopen.
Today the Property sits empty with most of the hotel's contents still left inside. The plan is to demolish the building and construct a student housing building in its place.

Noah, thanks for this video. My wife and I stayed at this hotel frequently between 2010 and 2015. The restaurant was closed at that time. The pool was nice but VERY cold. The small breakfast room on the first floor was where you picked up some food, self-serve, then either ate in the lobby at some tables or back in your room. Although we didn't ask for it (or even know about it at the time), we got a room with the heart tub. We tried it, but the noise was unbearable. We weren't demanding customers, the staff was friendly, and we always enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the awesome memories. It is sad to see it go.

They left this place wide open? It's a wonder the TVs and more of the other valuables weren't all stolen. The scrappers did do a lot of damage though. You would think that after this they would have tightly secured the building.

The items that at 34:25 are for your luggage so that you don't have to put it on the floor and bend every time you want something. If there are squatters are probably hiding in the locked rooms.

Hi Noah, great job putting this video together!! I prefer to stay in hotel rooms that have laminate floors vs. disgusting carpets, but hey, that’s just me voicing my opinion. 😂. No heart shaped tubs, however, I’ve stayed in a heart shaped waterbed with a heart mirror right above the bed. At the Don Q inn in Dodgeville, WI. It was called the cupids suite. It was an awesome weekend where my hubby proposed to me. 😁

    Love this exploration.
The place is sensational - unique in its mix of styles. I wonder why all this stuff is still there. From a good-natured point of view they could be given to the needy, from an economic point of view they could be resold. On the other hand, if that were the case, there wouldn't be much to visit, apart from just the empty walls.... It is a pity that this building no longer exists, but it is great that it has been immortalised here in some way. I like your editing, by the way. You can see the effort you put into this film. I like your introduction, this presentation of the history of the place.

Housekeeping room 2nd floor those were Room-service table stands. If the renovations was completed, it would have been a nice place to stay at. The basement club was interesting; also little surprised no took the booze that was still in there. Edit, I just remembered something, years a some friends went on a spring break trip and one set of them had a room with a heart shaped tub. Well the other set of friends dumped a whole bottle of Mr Bubble into that tub, when the others came back there was bubbles all over - hahahahahaha

Nightclubs stopped being "Nightclubs" when they banned smoking! If you go to a bar once or twice a week you don't need to worry about second hand smoke. If you go to the bar much more often about that and are afraid of second hand smoke, well my friend, it isn't smoke to be scared of as you clearly have a major drinking problem! A bar is NOT the place to get healthy as they should have NEVER banned smoking in them! *Side Note* I don't even smoke BUT I use to once in the while AT THE BAR with friends LOL.

I mean, not everyone who goes to bars drinks though. I really don't drink anymore but enjoy being social and don't mind being around people drinking. I DO smoke but totally agree with the ban because I don't think non smokers should be forced to deal with my nasty habit. Just my two cents though. :)

The kitchen, basement, and club were scary and had lots of negative energy.
The overall design was poor and looked very sad.
Was it called Love Hotel for the few heart-shaped bath tubs?
For me, that was the most foolish concept, and the overall hotel was below average and far away from being a love hotel!
It was risky to walk in the flooded basement! Be careful!
