As a model Railroader, myself, I love ❤ this house!!! Since this is a revisit, where is the 1st video? I scoured the entire library & couldn't find the original. What's the title or when it was released? Thanks for any help in advance!
You mentioned he passed in 83’ but then said his teaching id was 96’-97’. Bit confused. Decor certainly looked 83’. Enjoyed the details and pics. Thanks for sharing.
thats what i miss about houses from the past. character. if i ever found an abandoned house like this i think i'd just move in after a through cleaning and airing out lol.
I agree. I don't know if it's just my age (40s), but homes in past decades just seemed more 'homey' & comfortable looking, if that makes sense. The modern interior trends are beautiful & I see many lovely homes, but something about them seems less personal, & less comfortable to just hang out in
I remembered this one! So glad to see that it hasn't been trashed. The story is tragic and sad. To leave wedding photos is just so heart breaking. Thx for showing us this explore, Noah! 😊👍🏚️
I’m happy to see you actually show the pictures of the people. A lot of explorers get so weird about showing people’s pictures, but the way I look at it, those people left all that behind, their families didn’t care about it, and what does it matter, if we see what they look like.? I just subscribed to your channel by the way, good job!
When I was growing up in the 1980's,My Dad devoted the entire attic of My Childhood Home to His Trains, He had B&O also Lionel, they weren't match box trains but actually good trains, My Parents and I moved out of the house in 1986,people moved in, people moved out but not before gutting the entire House including the attic, all of My Late Dad's hand painting and devotion painted over the walls because someone wanted a modern House
I’m feeling really old right now. I see in there my parents had when I was little. The old retro DQ cup. My parents had them same canisters, tape recorder and so on.
You were showing us a photo album at 14:17, I paused and zoomed to read the contents on the front of the National Enquirer instead! 😆 Thanks Noah! 👍👍👍👍
As a model Railroader, myself, I love ❤ this house!!! Since this is a revisit, where is the 1st video? I scoured the entire library & couldn't find the original. What's the title or when it was released? Thanks for any help in advance!
It's cool how the photos show that the house is pretty much frozen in time. That stove is Mid Century and there are people who pay a lot to have them restored. The train room was really cool, that VW gas/cafe model was part of the scale-train setup. Very cool explore. Keep Orange Crushing It!
In the "olden days" people used to have slide projectors & slides their photos were on at home. That's more likely what you were looking at rather than school slides. I loved that kitchen too. Also, having island 🏝 or exotic themed basements were popular in those days as well. You're in a 60s to 70s style home that changed with the decades, but not that much. Of course train sets goes back to decades before then as well. It's such a shame to see such wonderful vintage things rotting away. In seeing how dedicated the man was to his hobbies even to the extent of it encompassing a house next door, I can see why the wife would walk away knowing she couldn't keep it all intact anyway. She may have had health problems too & just was done & wanted to go back to her home in Germany. I wonder how she felt having to have tenants sharing her home to afford his expensive hobbies. The woven pieces were popular in the 70s, called macrame.
The urge for me to straighten the place up would be nuts. Imagine walking in to the same place, everything still there, but tidy. A place for everything, everything in it's place.
My aunt had a stove just like that . Keep 8t pushed in with just 2 burners exposed but when she cooked she just pulled it out for a 4 burner. Not sure if that one does or not but I bet it does for it only shows 2 burners
I'd never seen one of those before, but it gave me the impression that it could do exactly what you've described here, revealing four burners. It also appeared to have a conventional oven beneath???
So sad it isn’t being adopted and rehabbed the waterfall is amazing, they must have tried using water growing plants. It would be quite unusual in that. Time. I wonder if. Anyone owns it now or because of abandonment for so long if the city does. Amazing and sad, be safe and thanks for showing it again!
Loved this video. I really appreciate how interested you are in the lives of the people who made a home in this house. I am the same way. I can look at the photo albums of strangers for hours trying to guess from the photos what their lives were like, what their interests and hobbies were. Its like reading a good biography with only photos. I am so old I can remember when it was trendy to put wall to wall carpet up on some of your walls. Like an accent wall. Its popularity was short lived but it was a thing
That train layout in Marklin, a high quality German brand. At least a couple of the model buildings - the train stations for example - are Marklin tinplate, very collectible! Would love to rescue this layout. A cool house and video - thank you!
I’m guessing those wedding pictures were of their son or daughter. I love looking at pictures-so sad they were left behind! And I love that you’re using film! I miss those days. Digital is ok but nothing beats film.
Really interesting house!! The basement is the most intriguing. Especially love the outward view of that Asian room from behind the bar. Also, the Train Room! You really remind me of the actress Tyne Daly when she was younger. You could pass for her Grandson. Similar (lovely) facial features.
Wow, that "Fall TV preview...Fonzie, Laverne & Shirley, Suzanne Sommers (probably Three's Company), Alan Alda, Archie Bunker....that magazine is from the late 1970's. In fact, that's the National Enquirer, so old they were actually doing entertainment news instead of Bigfoot sightings.
Since being there before you should have acquired more information to try to look into what happened to his wife, and any other family, do you ever try to find out anything more?
Hi Noah! Just seeing this video now. Great footage of this beautiful time capsule. I've watched quiet a few of your videos which by the way were fantastic! I see quiet a few pictures with sayings on them, they'd be interesting to read seeing how they were from so long ago! Keep up the fantastic work you do. Glad I came apon your channel. Stay amazing Noah! 🤗
I’d say she probably left to be with family and perhaps even though she would come back and time just passed on by. Maybe it got harder to face even? I know when my dad passed my mom stayed but she hated it. I told her just move. Well she stated and 158 days later she passed in her sleep. She just lost her desire to live without him.
Very common. My aunt, who absolutely adored her Dad, left his house the second he passed and sold it as is, with everything still inside and out... Very sad to see that nobody has lived there since the change of ownership, all his belongings still visible through the windows. Very sad...
Very few Harlequin books were/are dirty. They're just simple romantic stories for adults.....widows starting new lives, business executives finding their #1 love,..... Harlequin had a separate series that was risqué.
I read tons of those as a teen. And they had several variations: historical, classic, mystery and I think Intrigue were the saucy ones. They had a read border. ❤
Great exploration. The idea of returning to previously visited abandoned places is really cool. I like the house. First of all, it has its own character. I think every house should have it - it should have its own character and not be an accurate reflection of the contents of interior magazines showing current trends. I wouldn't mind living in this house today with the way it looked in its heyday. By the way, I felt irritated at the sight of these graffiti. I was sure that there would not be any in this house, that the house was spared devastation.
As a model Railroader, myself, I love ❤ this house!!! Since this is a revisit, where is the 1st video? I scoured the entire library & couldn't find the original. What's the title or when it was released? Thanks for any help in advance!
Nice tour … comments … video … all great! The pictures with the two small ones… I got the same when developing film back in the 70’s… it’s just something photoshops offered… nice to share or pics for one’s wallet! 😉 😊❤
Since this is a revisit, where is the 1st video? I scoured your entire library & couldn't find the 1st 1. What's the title or when it was released? As a model Railroader, myself, I love ❤ this house.
The wcker plate holders in the one Cabinet in the one house,my Mother had a bunch of them, she took them when My Family and I went camping, they were great paper plate holders, I actually have a about a handful of them right now in my kitchen cabinet, those wicker things were very popular in the 1980's
Another great video! I like when you show the personal side of the owner, it adds a lot to it. As somebody from the desert, I don’t understand why some homes you show are molded beyond belief after just a few years, and yet this one after 40 years shows very little? I wonder why that is ? Thanks again! Steve.
This property hasn't been abandoned long. A house left in 1983 where there are 4 seasons would be rubble. I'm not sure why he said 1983. There was also a paper under things with an ad for a used 2015 Honda. The basement was also super moldy with tons of decay. I'm thinking it's different in a dry climate but basements are always damp unless you have a dehumidifier running 24/7. And if a pipe bursts because it freezes and thaws, then you have a flooded basement which will grow mold in no time.
It’s sad and irresponsible to leave your belongings and such a mess. Someone will have to deal with it someday. Personally, I’d not want my life in photos exposed to strangers like this. Has it been ransacked? So many questions. Thanks for this video.
Interesting that she (or their kids, if there were any) didn't at some point go ahead and make a deal with someone to clean up and get rid of all to sell the place, since she apparently didn't want anything there. Very strange.
I been married 25 years and no kids at home I’ll tell you now I do not have a closet in this house I’ve lived in now on 15 years. Lol. Not a single closet. Seeing all women’s clothing in closet does not surprise me. Hehe.
"Dirty books?" Holy crap did I snort with laughter at that. Those boxes are full of Harlequin Romances and they sold for a few dollars (if that) in the 70s and 80s. Maybe she was to heartbroken after her husbands passing or maybe she was not happy with her life in Canada and she missed Germany or maybe her marriage was not the happiest or she what back to Germany for a visit and she also passed away and they did not have no family back in Canada I really don't think we know the reason she did go back to Germany
here is something i understand these urban explorers say we only take pictures & videos but i say whats wrong if u see 1 item you know is worth $$ and if you took it home to sell think how that item could help u the $ from sale could be a new camera, gopro, laptop i not say take a bunch of stuff but 1 item here & there couldn't hurt once in a while who agrees?

You found the perfect 70s home!
The decaying train layout is really sad. Lots of love and effort put into that.

it is such a shame people disrespect peoples property even if it is abandoned
Awesome video. I like how you show such respect in this home. God Bless.
Love the retro vibe. One of my favorites.

Thanks Noah!
👍👍👍👍
I saw the diamond in the wall paper..
I remember the first time you visited this house. Too bad the light fixture was stolen. It’s cool that you go back to re-visit houses.
As a model Railroader, myself, I love ❤ this house!!! Since this is a revisit, where is the 1st video? I scoured the entire library & couldn't find the original. What's the title or when it was released? Thanks for any help in advance!

Very cool explore my friend, this was a nice find, that stove is cool!
I say it was from the 1970 .
I like how the canisters match the kitchen counter and backsplash. We had the same avocado green mixer when I was a kid.
That couple was married in the 1970s. The decor is '70s. Life speeds by so fadt!
That was a beautiful home,
Very awesome house thanks for the video i enjoyed watching

Sehr interessant gefällt mir sehr gut klasse. Liebe Grüße aus dem Saarland
Sault Ste. Marie that’s my hometown where are still lived to this day it’s nice to see a postcard like that
Really cool thanks for sharing.
Check out the bottle of strawberry cow in the kitchen that stuff was so good in the 80s-90s.

You restore that whole set you're looking at $$$ if it's cleaned up probably could get a pretty penny
Binge watching all my favorite channels and time capsule houses 🥰
I’m guessing those wedding pictures were of their son or daughter. I love looking at pictures-so sad they were left behind! And I love that you’re using film! I miss those days. Digital is ok but nothing beats film.

I enjoyed this one. I like your narrative and filming!
Frozen in time. You should buy it and rent it out as an AirBnB and advertise it as live like it's the 1980s
Love it! One of my favorite abandoned houses too. 👍
My mom had boxes and boxes of those Harlequin Romance books. She read one every 2 days. What a super cool explore!
Very interesting. Watching your videos is a good way to enjoy coffee on cold mornings. I miss the intro music!
Since being there before you should have acquired more information to try to look into what happened to his wife, and any other family, do you ever try to find out anything more?

Just because your husband dies does not mean you abandon your home?? I don't understand why these people would do this!!!!
Maybe she was very heartbroken on her husband's death that she could not live there anymore and everything she saw of him made her very sad
Heartbroken & aged. Maybe that life was over & she wanted to go home to Germany. I get it.
Maybe she wanted to be with her family. She also maybe had parents or siblings to care for.
I’d say she probably left to be with family and perhaps even though she would come back and time just passed on by. Maybe it got harder to face even? This was absolutely fascinating! 👍☺️
keep the clips coming

How wonderful!
I'm amazed that scalpers haven't skeletonized the entire house.
😂
I always check out your videos. So I just subscribed. Now I won’t miss out
19:35 Carpeted toilet?
Truly amazing work
That house was either built in 1970 or updated in 1970 telling by the decor. It was the transition period from the 60’s to the 70’s decor.
Great exploration. The idea of returning to previously visited abandoned places is really cool.

Cool house love the knight lamp. Love u r video s
Must have taken years making the train set so sad .to see it rotting away.
Nice tour … comments … video … all great!
The pictures with the two small ones… I got the same when developing film back in the 70’s… it’s just something photoshops offered… nice to share or pics for one’s wallet! 😉
😊❤
Now that you said it it makes sense, I always pronounced it "Frigi-daire", but it's "Frigid-aire". Thanks.
Very cool 😎👍 place that room with the waterfall

to bad you could not find a picture of what the train set looked like then and do a side by side
Has that Brady Bunch vibe for sureeee 🤣😎🤟✨️✨️✨️
I would buy that place
It’s sad and irresponsible to leave your belongings and such a mess. Someone will have to deal with it someday. Personally, I’d not want my life in photos exposed to strangers like this. Has it been ransacked? So many questions. Thanks for this video.
New to your channel, I would love to see the first time you walked through. Have a link?
Pretty wild that she decided to leave all that behind when she left
Love Watching
22:55 In the right corner what is that
Before I know it,in a few weeks I will be ordering more tabloids and magazines and memorabilia for my collection 🥰
Sup from Kentucky
Interesting that she (or their kids, if there were any) didn't at some point go ahead and make a deal with someone to clean up and get rid of all to sell the place, since she apparently didn't want anything there. Very strange.
That’s crazy how the upstarts looking pretty good still but that basement is bad
Its wild! Feels like two completely different worlds!
Something about this place makes me very depressed
Well my uncle has a good sized train set like that also
Well your uncle must be very cool
Since 1983!!!
I been married 25 years and no kids at home I’ll tell you now I do not have a closet in this house I’ve lived in now on 15 years. Lol. Not a single closet. Seeing all women’s clothing in closet does not surprise me. Hehe.

i love the giant glass coke mirror on the bar!
Did his wife leave with the tenet?Seems strange she left their photos behind like she just moved in
Maybe she was to heartbroken after her husbands passing or maybe she was not happy with her life in Canada and she missed Germany or maybe her marriage was not the happiest or she what back to Germany for a visit and she also passed away and they did not have no family back in Canada I really don't think we know the reason she did go back to Germany
I wonder if she passed once she got to Germany ? I wonder if her children didn't realize everything was left like this?
The Harlequin books probably belonged to the wife.
here is something i understand these urban explorers say we only take pictures & videos but i say whats wrong if u see 1 item you know is worth $$ and if you took it home to sell think how that item could help u the $ from sale could be a new camera, gopro, laptop i not say take a bunch of stuff but 1 item here & there couldn't hurt once in a while who agrees?
Love the knight
House is amazing but some stuff from the story dont quite add up.

i dont understand it tbh theres so much value and people just say eh fuck it let it rot? im wondering if there was some cheating issues and why the wife left right away...
neat! 👉👍
Poor Wife was very heart broken after her husband passing away attack His wife pack up alll of her belongings and moved back to Germany
Do you get permission to do this?
That piano is called a MalOdien I can't spell it haa but anyway there worth nice piece change that one is in nice shape..
Doesn’t someone have to continue to pay the taxes and if not the house is seized and emptied??
My theory... Husband dies of heart attack. Wife goes back to visit family in Germany and dies there. There is no one left in Ontario to clean out the house.
