Thx, great video. I work for a company that uses Sedgwick, it's impossible to get a straight answer out of anybody about how this process works.

My boyfriend has worked for dominos for the past 6 years almost. He has had 5 WC claims and told by his many many managers each time he reported the injuries (including giving them the info from the ER as soon as he left the ER) that the claims have been handled. Claims include, falling in a customers driveway during winter time, having to lift something heavy and felt his hernia mesh pull and cause pain, 2 different dog bites, and most recent a car accident that totaled our car. We found out that every claim has gone to collections including the current one (hospital did take that one back to re submit to sedgewick) but all bills for all these claims were not coming to us, but going to Dominos (the store he works at, which is why we never knew they were not covered) The most recent (oct 23 2022) one has left his clavical bone (top shoulder) bulging out about an inch. We were told by the dr that surgery was not needed that over time the bone would go back into place as swelling went down. 7 months later (now) the bone is still sticking up about an inch he is now getting numbness and tingling in his arm and hand. He can barly move his neck and been getting extremely bad migraines. We now have an appointment set up with the dr he seen before but when trying to get ahold of sedgewick they have ignored several emails we have sent them. Hr has really been no help telling us there have only been 2 claims submitted. I have the bills and the bills from the collection agency where you can see workmens comp stated on each of them. We think the dr didnt want to do surgery now due to Sedgwick never paying bills they should be. We are worried this injury is gonna be permanent. His boss has been treating him poorly telling him that he is too slow which he admits to bc his shoulder, neck, head hurt so bad he can barly function. His next check will have a 20% garnishment taken out over what we believe is a bill thay should have been covered by Sedgwick and he was told by every manager he has had over the last 6 years that they were taken care of. And we risk losing our car and eveything else he has worked hard for us to get bc he is too slow and his boss has been trying to cut his hours. Just wondering what your advice would be for us. We really dont know what to do. I have spent the last 6 years building up his credit it is now over 750 and he is worried he will have to file bankruptcy over all the unpaid medical bills. ***I have contacted your law firm a few min ago.

Part 2 to comment I have been receiving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation from Sedgwick claims and I have reported the abuse to the NYS workers compensation board but I am ignored the NYS workers compensation board allowed my former employer to file a fraudulent workers comp claim in my name seven years after my actual date of injury and after the statute of limitations and now myself and my family are being bullied and harassed

In my state (NY) Sedgwick claims and my former employer contributes to paying the salary of the NYS workers compensation board members, and staff which is a conflict of interest specifically financial conflict of interest. An injured worker is required to attend hearings and your case is handled by individuals whose salary is paid by your employer. All new York State employers pay an annual employer assessment fee for each employee and that money is utilized to operate the NYS workers compensation board system... unethical

do you have to use sedgwick? I got hurt on the job, and the union is telling me that i have to open up a workers comp case with sedgwick. but so far what im seeing this company deliberately screws up your case in order to force you to come back to work such as not paying you or not paying on time. If i can go to another law firm that can handle my case then why not do that?

Sedgwick sent me an overpayment notice, saying that they had to take into account the amount of money i made before filing a claim with them. I don't understand why they paid me without doing this before if it was so vital... they never once asked me how much i made before my claim yet they want me to pay for what i feel is their mistake. do you have any experience with this ? do i really have to pay them back for their own mistake ? all help is appreciated thank you

Sedgwick claims is a third party claims administrator they are hired by employers to harass and retaliate injured Workers and to make the process so hard and difficult for you that you return to work before your medically cleared. I have had to file complaints against Cedric claims and my primary care physician for conspiring with such a claims and now they are bullying and harassing me and my family and a lot of what they do is allowed because they also conspire with the workers comp board in your state
