For wide/chunky feet,half size up works wonders!!! Definitely try them on in stores if possible! These are the most durable vans I've EVER bought! Got 3 of the colorways,sailor moon too! :)

It's worth noting that the lizzies actually are more slim than most Vans, since the footbed is designed after Lizzie Armanto's foot. So if they felt tight when you got them, it's because they are tighter. A bunch of my coworkers had an awful time breaking them in since a bunch of us have pretty wide feet

every time ive skate a vans shoe they felt the exact same way when breaking them in. At first they feel like the worst shoe to skate like you have literal boxes on your feet but once you break them in they feel good
i bought the lizzies and theyre actually pretty good for the price. lasted more than any other shoes
Maybe try the Axion "Official" or "Genesis ".
I know dunks are expensive but if you could get your hand on a pair of sb highs and review and compare them to the lows that’d be awesome! Love the content as always!
i can give you a difference that i've noticed, the highs have more padding around the collar, while the lows have more padding in the tongue, with less or more padding in the collar depending on the colorway

I actually owned a pair of the Lizzie in black/white. I personally like skating in them and the flick they had. I really didn’t like the insole because of how thin they were. Before I stopped skated them, I managed to learn varial heels

I don’t know if the Vulc sole is the reason for bad heels. All high top vans I’ve tried have been ass for heel flips while half cabs are probably my favorite shoes for them even though they have the exact same sole. I feel like vans high tops bag out so you have to tighten them so much it leads to bad ankle mobility

Also if you're looking at insoles I've tried them all.. I have really bad feet. Look into the insoles that are made for work boots. You have to modify them of course to get them into your sneakers but they work well. I'm using ones right now put out by Georgia Boot and they're awesome. Way better than any insole that I've bought that was made specifically for skating
I got those Timberland Pro insoles and they are soft and fun to walk around with, i've tried skating with them too and are great. Recently got the FP orthotics for skating and so far so good

The insole was too thin….
I went down a couple 2-3 foot drops and they didn’t feel the best.
I also bailed out a couple times on transition and these definitely did not help cushion my landing at all.
I’ll give them credit for being a very comfortable shoe to ride in/skate in. Board control feels nice. On vert/transition.
After about 1 month of skating they are about done for me.
I think I will buy a different insole and just keep riding them for as long as possible.
Just be avoiding the big drops for now.
This guys review is spot on if people are wondering. Insole was worst part of the show. I’d give it a 5-6/10

No, what he means is, the Shoe is hers and the whole design or shoe is new and from her. That would make it a actual skater's shoe belonging to them in that sense. There are colorways which many ppl have of a existing shoe, and then them getting their own shoe they design and come up with that's novel.
So I think as of now by that metric, the rest of the girls just have colorways at the moment. I believe Nora has one too on adidas? Even Sucio Has a Gazelle Colorway, but not a shoe of his own as is the case with many skaters actually.
So Rayssa has a colorway, not a shoe she designed in the Nike SB Verona, he's again talking about where it's their own independent shoe and they got to design them. Leticia has a Verona shoe as well.
Kader has a colorway in the Superstars (Created for basketball in 1969, released a year later) but not his own shoe. That's become increasingly rare it seems or never been a thing these big corporations did, no matter how freaking great some skater is. So many ppl on Nike and Adidas that should have a shoe. *In part I wonder if they monitor the sells from a colorway since it has the name on it to test said persons marketability to some extent.
Ishod just got his but before he had Colorways in the Dunks, and In the Bruins. A colorway they basically take a pre existing shoe and design the color and or are given some color with their name on it and get proceeds from it.

Kind of like how Ishod just got his own actual shoe but prior has had colorways in the Dunks and even the Bruins. Hell P Rod been had his line and for what over a decade? But then did that Dunk colorway recently. *He may have even had a few while still having his own actual line.
Oh, and Reynolds, Andrew got some colorways on Vans in the Old Skool? And for sure the Halfcab 92's but not his actual own shoe line he created.

Apparently the flap at the back is so you can pull them on, so I gently pulled them on and the stitching where the flap attaches ripped first time 😢

They are the most uncomfortable shoes I ever put on my foot. But I have a really wide flat foot. My foot is almost as wide as it is long... They do look good.

The hi top might be messing with the roll of your ankle when you do you kickflips so you aren’t getting as good a flick, that’s my theory at least

You said the Lizzie is currently the only woman to have a signature skateboard shoe. But Alexis sablone has 2 pro model shoes with her name on it with Converse. And leticia bufoni and rayssa leal both have a signature colour way on the Nike Verona :/
