    Hi this video is very helpful. I just signed up for acca also just finished my bachelor's in accounting. I got exempt for the first level BT, MA, FA and LW. Looking at this video help me to plan out my exam date and what I should do first. I will be applying to do FR first and then try TX after with the change in standard in mind. TX in September. I am excited and at the same time a little scared.
    Thanks for the helpful + useful tips.

    My provider is a bit tricky. It's a platinum provider but joining in August, I can't register for any of the applied knowledge papers or the variants. In Ireland (IRL) they only offer the LW and TX papers in June, so I'm basically forced to choose from the other four papers to start. I was pretty upset by that so I went to a second provider to work on the knowledge papers in the two months i have before term begins just to try and knock one of those papers out before i start. I will do my best to use the second provider to do those three as they are on demand cbe's, and use the first provider to do the available four. I'll be starting with PM and FM from August to February while sitting BT on the side. Nothing I can do about it so I'm not going to cry about it. Wish I could have sat them in order but I understand the college has to follow acca rules to keep their status at the end of the day. Hope this helps anyone else in Ireland sitting 2022+.😅 On the plus side, I got registered in about four days by a lovely guy in Glasgow; I was delighted!

    Very thorough and articulate explanation, James. I have a question, though: is there any value in stopping at Level I or II? In other words, are there any jobs that require just those levels without necessarily going all the way? Also, do you receive any certifiate/diploma after completing each level?
    I'm asking all these questions because I want to be aware of my options.
    Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi James, thank you for the video. What is your view on the time period for preparing for strategic papers? Is 3 months enough to be ready to sit and pass SBR, SBL and other Prof papers? What in addition to studying students could do to be ready for these exams? I've heard some students saying that their job helped them to pass these exams...

    • @JamesWrightACCA
      @JamesWrightACCA  3 года назад +5

      Hello Jurgita! Thank you for the comment and great to hear you found the video helpful! 🙂
      It depends on your commitments, but I would say that 3 months should be enough. The thing to be aware of is starting to study before you have received the results of the exam you have just sat which would be needed. Yes your job role can help you pass as you cover exam aspects on a day to day basis... It all depends on your own circumstances, but if this doesn't apply to you, then don't take it as a negative. Hi James, I have 9 exemptions from university which i graduated from a few months ago and I've got a training contract to do ACCA and was wondering if it is best to claim exemptions or will i struggle a lot if i had no prior experience of actual ACCA papers as i have read online some of the papers will link to previous papers. Also, would it maybe be a good option to do the papers that link to the ones I have left to do?

    • @JamesWrightACCA
      @JamesWrightACCA  2 года назад +1

      Hello Saarah, the exemptions will be allocated as you have previously completed ACCA standard exams already so I would claim them and ask for the fees of these to be paid by your employer in a study contract. I would personally read the study texts of the modules you have to do thoroughly and work out from there any gaps in knowledge from there 😃 Click the link below for more information on ACCA and to hear my insights to help your question from my experience 👇

      Hey Jack and thanks for the question! 😄 This is a tough question as there are a few variables to consider such as how much free time you have to study around commitments such as working full -time or family? Do you work in audit? and how far along are you in your studies? The ground knowledge in these exams are key especially when progress onto SBR and if you decide to do AAA.
