My favourite at home drink is either an iced mocha or a watermelon slushie. Basically blend frozen watermelon, lime and mint leaves. So refreshing in summer! 🍉🌱
I usually use coffee ice cubes for coffee drinks because I feel like the normal ones dilute the flavor. I use leftover coffee to make them and sometimes only put some coffee ice cubes in oat milk and they melt in there. Thank you for the inspiration and for the beautiful voiceover. It was a pleasure to watch 😇💖
Adding hot water first to a cold brew is called a “bloom” similar to brewing hot coffee, it helps to extract more flavour and caffeine. That’s why cold brew requires longer prep time, as it lacks temperature to speed up the process 😊
@@OneD26 not necessarily! bitterness comes with extracting too much (ideal is 18-22%). so by doing a hot bloom, you could reduce the steep time or increase the grind size to balance and achieve optimal extraction. it's all about playing around with the variables to find something that fits your lifestyle & taste!
I love flavored green tea + lemonad! brew a bunch of green tea, and then throw in some peaches or cherries or blueberries in the water too, mush the fruit a bit, and then throw it in a big container (take out the tea bags), and then throw in the fridge. After it cools, pour in a glass with some lemonade, sweeten to taste, and it's so yummy! The best summer drink tbh
- this was such a good video! 🌷 my personal way to enjoy earl grey tea is to mix it with some lavander flowers and then add some liquid sweetener and vanilla soy milk to make some sort of london fog.
During my years living in southern Louisiana we used to make a coffee called Creole Coffee which was strong coffee(preferably with chicory), molasses and cream(or creamer). I sometimes hanker for that slightly burned flavor of molasses and add a teaspoon to my coffee. I’ve also used the molasses drizzled over my morning oatmeal. I don’t find a licorice taste but a similar to brown sugar flavor in both.
The reason why you find that drizzling molasses adds a brown sugar flavor is because American "brown sugar" is made by adding molasses to refined sugar. It is distinct from whole cane sugar, which also looks brown in color. There is also unrefined or partially refined brown sugar, which still contains molasses, but the brown sugar you'd usually buy in a supermarket is actually molasses added to white sugar.
This video comes for the perfect time! I recently said to my friend that it would be nice to make fancy drinks at home and then you drop this. Thank you, I will definitely try them ✨
Since you have molasses left over, I've found it helps a lot with period cramps! I take 1 tsp every day, and noticed a lot less pain after about two months :D
Pro Tip: Do your cold infusions (coffee and tea both work) in a French press so you wont have to wait while filtering it out. Also when it gets warmer i basically have a full French press of loose leaf green Tea with Ginger and Lemon peel infusing in my fridge, it‘s really refreshing (it does need a little sweetening tho). I wanted to try to do it with Ginseng to make a homemade version of Arizona Ice Tea, but I haven‘t had the chance to do it so far.
One of my favourite drinks for summer is ice brewed Jasmin tea. Basically you put enough tea leaves for your cup into the cup and then cover it with 2 to 4 ice cubes depending on the amount of tea. Around an hour or two later you are left with a very fragrant and flavourful Jasmin tea „extract“ that can be sived and then filled up with cold water. Very refreshing and light for a hot morning. 😆
Your videos are so comfy, and so is your voice and the style. I love your videos and even though I'm not vegan, I'll definitely want to try some of your recipes. This video will come in good use for recreating these :)
I made the blueberry iced tea and it tastes so strange but so yum haha I feel inspired to try more interesting flavours. Also the blueberries are like a natural boba
my fave molasses recipe are some cookies that are really good if you want a hearty biscuit/cookie without it being overly sweet. I don't have the recipe to hand but essentially it's oat cookies sweetened with molasses and some brown sugar, with dark chocolate and chopped walnuts and they are really nice. they are kinda tart but I like that
A way to use up the molasses is fried dough, it’s rly good and you can top it with butter and molasses. My family makes it for big holidays, especially Christmas!
My favourite cozy drink is definitely Earl Grey. The brilliant taste reminds me of my adventures with my best friend (who also loves it). Now, I just want to say, how much I love you and your videos. I have probably watched all of them, more than once. Your food just looks incredibly delicious and your voice is so peaceful, simple, but yet so real. Thank you for it.🥰🍬
Okay the iced blueberry London fog SLAPS. I'm drinking it with a boba straw right now so I can get all the blueberry pieces! This will definitely be my go-to iced drink this summer!!
this idea just popped into my mind, so i never tried it but: chai tea infused with berries (rasps or cherries probably, add them to the boiling tea and filter all clumps out in the end)! and then either for a chai latte or an iced option :)
I have two, not very professional home made drinks i enjoy: 1. Sweet Vanilla Tea It's green tea, cardamom, cinnamon, a little black pepper, brown sugar and vanilla extract filtered into hot water. It is divine. 2. Hot Vanilla Boil some vanilla, sugar and hot milk together. Go light on the sugar 👍. Add a cinnamon stick as a stirrer Do i have a vanilla obsession? Yes
I have a full jar of molasses in my cabinet I bought for gingerbread I didn't end up making so I look forward to trying the molasses milk. Also the mint & lime tea sounds really good. Twilight is my guilty pleasure as well 😂
My favorite go-to drink is hot coffee (about 2/3 of the drink) + oat milk + cinnamon powder + any sweetener (unfortunately I couldn’t really be more precise the quantities change each day with my mood haha )
Am I one of the first to comment? Always love your videos! Just to mention, I recently started watching your friend, Emily Ewing. She is so funny and from my home town of Clovis, California!😊
If you need ideas for molasses: *I ADORE molasses so these might sound odd - I love to use molasses in place of syrup on pancakes! so what I do is top pancakes with coconut yogurt, frozen blueberries, and lightly drizzle the molasses over top (don't use as much as you would normal syrup though!) - I love ginger molasses cookies or banana bread or even oatmeal (yes, even in spring) - molasses tastes amazing with almond butter combo (on toast, or pancakes, or yogurt bowl) - molasses is also great in coffee. what I do is add almond milk, 1tsp molasses, and a dash cinnamon to my coffee. Molasses might taste good in chai as well
if I have some leftover herbs, I sometimes like to make tea with them :) specifically thyme or rosemary with a few slices of orange, and optionally some ginger, is really nice i think. sage and ginger can be nice as well. ah, and thanks for the drink ideas! :)

Great video! Really inspired me to do more of theses at home drinks :) Have you tried chestnut milk ? It’s a non dairy milk by a French brand (a mix of rice oat and chestnut milk), tried to replicate it at home by mixing chestnut paste with a bit of oat milk and cacao, it makes a great desert or snack
i watched this video although i won't recreate any of the drinks (i only drink water, basic tea and black coffee). That's how much i like your videos haha :) very random question: in which area of Berlin do you live?

This is very random but I saw you use the blue silicone ice cube molds that look like the ones from dm. I have those but the ice always tastes kinda weird?? Was wondering if it's the same for you (or anyone else who has these) or if it was maybe just a one off
@@Mina_Rome ahhh nah I do I mean you're right, Berlin tap water sucks but it kinda tastes sweet in the ice cubes, I thought I hadn't washed off the dishsoap but it didn't go away and now I'm sad
