I think that as women we've been conditioned to take the bare minimum and operate on the assumption that there isn't better out there. I've been there. Making excuses for a situation that is not meeting our needs, making us sick, holding us back in ways that we aren't even aware of. It takes a lot to rebuild your self esteem after these kinds of relationships. It's great that you knew what you wanted and that you didn't gaslight yourself for years. 🎉🎉🎉 #standingonbusiness 😅. I just love how you’ve articulated this so well. Your words are so comforting, I can tell you’ve had a similar experience. It’s definitely a challenge to grow from such experiences but it’s a new found freedom to know that you don’t have to stay in anything that you don’t want to be in. Lol I can’t believe you said #standingonbusiness 🤭 but you’re right. This life has to be lived and enjoyed to the fullest, nothing should bring us down 💕🫶🏽
Oh wow this story is so similar to my own we both were SDA but he didn’t not me seriously.. looking back I think he already knew that he wouldn’t marry me but kept entertaining it .. sad time however thank God for healing and growth now I know better.. I pray that you get the family you always wanted ❤️💖
Maybe we would have ended up getting married if I stayed and waited for I don’t know how many years but was it going to be worth it? Words can only go so far As women of faith, it’s easy to hold marriage and having a family over our heads but we deserve men of faith as well. Faith is not only about hope and promise but ACTION. I think God should be present from the moment you meet him, through courtship, and even marriage - where your heart is constantly being filled with love and reassurance. The minute it start’s looking like there’s no future, try to fix it and if it fails, leave. What is for us, will never miss us so we shouldn’t sit in situations that don’t serve us anymore just for the sake of being ‘in a relationship’ I can talk for days lol, but I’m just happy that you put yourself first, you can never regret that ❤️
Me in matric from a 4 year relationship that ended 3 months ago ,main focus is on me now ❤ i found the best person to love me better and that's myself 😊i think if i loved myself enough i wouldn't be teaching a man how to treat me better
Hey hun, I guess it’s bitter sweet but the lesson of self love is priceless and the advantage you have is that you learnt about it earlier on in your life. There are some women in their more mature years still struggling with this. As women it’s so natural to nurture, it’s easy to fall in love and put our partners first, then kids, etc. I’m so excited for your future, the quality of life after knowing and learning self love is unmatched 🔥💕🥹 I’m so proud of you 🫶🏽💐
