Savage Oppress was the muscle, Pre Vizsla the military, and Maul was the mind of the Shadow Collective. "You are the legitimate Prime Minister. Mandalore is a sovereign planet, and you will maintain its neutrality." "And what of the Jedi?" "If Kenobi comes to rescue his friend, he will have to come alone."
Amazing tribute!!! I loved that you tied it in with what Moff Gideon said in the Mando S2 Finale!!! I alsoloved you kept the history quote in there too and gave context - history books are mostly distorted and is written by the victors (it is almost inevitable). So any great warrior who beats their opponent and claims the Darksaber from them has a legitimate claim to the thone and leadership of Mandalore (doesn't necessarily need to be Mandalorian born or adopted/raised in that culture or way of life).
With the Bad Batch having such a heavy focus on Star Wars' "hive of scum and villainy", I'm excited to see how Maul will (yet again) reinvent himself as a leading power to be feared in this "Rise of the Empire" interim era! I mean, yes, he's carelessly tossed aside his "claim to the Mandalorian throne" at this point, but Crimson Dawn (and any other remaining Shadow Collective loyalists who haven't jumped ship yet) are still at play here. :) I suspect Maul will start trying to enlist the Bad Batch's services (since he's probably still connected with the Pykes, who tell Maul that a bunch of "out-of-place clone commandos" managed to steal and return a huge shipment of spice in the very same day, thus convincing Maul of the Batch's potential usefulness). And yes, Maul does seem to be doomed to endless cycles of rising and failing (especially with the Empire still being the main threat of Rebels and the OT era), but I'm still curious to see how dangerously close he gets to achieving his goals this time around (in this uncharted territory of an era). At the very least, I imagine Vader puts Maul (sort of) out of commission, thus explaining why Maul begins controlling Crimson Dawn through proxy leaders (e.g. Dryden Voss, and later Qira), instead of ruling directly.
Your tributes are absolutely magnificent!!!! What editing software do you use? I use iMovie personally since I upload from my phone but I am very inspired by you your amazing I hope you know that
