I am impressed Patriot sent anything to review. They are famous for not allowing review of their powerstations which cost four times more than any comparable unit by other vendors. Happy they are at least allowing a review.

Yeah this is essential things you would need. Like i have 8 five gallon water bottles at home but what do i have in my car? nothing. Maybe its time to think about survival on the road thanks for posting. 73

I personal own lots of the food bars. They taste very good. I also store lots of themin my car for my car emergency kit I made a couple years ago. I live in Maine. You need a kit in your car up here trust me. These bars are made to be stored in a car up to 300 degree F and i forget how cold but in the negatives. Love the bars.
The only bad thing inthe bag does not reseal after open, so I just store a big ziplock bag with mine.

Obviously you have to pay the bills and it is a product to review, but I'd like to see a review after this kit has banged around in a vehicle for a few years cycling through the heat and cold, after the jumper pack and tire inflator have been dropped on the asphalt a couple of times. Likewise see how the food fares when it's been heat-cycled.
Before I'd met my wife she had an emergency kit of a prior generation, one with a tire inflator, flashlight, gloves, first-aid kit, poncho, flares, triangles, simple hand tools, and other accessories. The trouble is that the kit itself required maintenance at least in the form of changing batteries, replacing first-aid kit components that dried out, and ultimately the plastics on things like the tire inflator got brittle in the heat and cracked, and other things like the latex gloves congealed into a single mass before disintegrating into powder. It didn't take very long for the kit to lose most of its utility.
The utility of the kit is only really calculable after it's experienced real-world conditions for a few years, because it's going to inevitably remain in reserve until it's needed. What happens to it in the meantime is critical.
