Thanks it work well with a sowfare that is in one folder. I have a software which when it has install it create a separate folder for the data (in documents directory). Is there a way to create a portable app when software is split in such a way. I have not been able to find documentation that would explain if it is dooable.
There is a way, but not with the Software in the Video was showing. I don't remember the Name of the Programm was, but it was also a Programm, that turns your Software in a portable Version, but the difference is: It scanns your entire c drive before and pull all componentes, that includet, in the exe itself. On this way i can run newer software for windows 10 only on my old windows 7 maschne aswell, because i make it portable on Windows 10. the Programm have everything what he need to run, in the portable Version integradet.

how do you get the app to copy the key or license so that your portable app stays registered ?
App that require license are tied to your windows account code thru registry ,its a 50/50 but i i recommend using VMware thin setup capture , it fully captures everything /turbo capture when installing, and makes it into a virtual app, or msix packaging tool of the windows store i use it to save the registry after i registered it or just use REGApp to see what Registry changes done by app.but my favorite i use'' Make SFX v2.4'' to make the app fast without going over the capture process ,it only captures one directory but 90% of apps work and then and save key to a txt..zip and cloud it .i portable mostly patched/cracked app lol, and run it thru Sandboxie or ShadeSandbox to be safe . if you do use make sfx get Resource hacker To Change the icon. only certain apps i use vmware or turbo capture that have files scattered on system like ease todo pctrans, virtual dj, steam etc..files over 500mb./that install sys drivers

NO, windows applications will only work in windows OS, not in any other form of Operating System... Unless, it is programmed to allow to.
@@PredictAnythingSoftware Man i have, probably, good news for you, just drink some WINE, wine is a program that makes, for what i know, MacOS (Don't know wich) and Linux (I think ubuntu, OpenSuse, maybe Arch) to run Windows programs, it isn't new and it's popular

@@meditati8113 yes, that's right, I've tried wine on Mac and it works in several programs like Winbox and others, but I tried running Pot Player, it only works on 32bit and won't run on 64bit, Pot Player is really good on Windows but not on Mac.
