Okay so guys letssss gooo the first in the MCU that Monica and I are reacting to, as I explained on the community tab were watching in the Disney + release order, I know we should of started with the first two captains but I missed them as I didn’t know until after reacting to Iron man, Im sorry about the moon background I know its not ideal, but its the only way RUclips would allow me to post this reaction, anyways hope you enjoy!! I wonder what movie it will take for Monica to start liking the MCU, let me know your guesses down below!!
Iron Man was the first film. You’re supposed to watch them in release order.
Release Order is the way to watch it, not chronological. There are also after credits scenes, make sure you watch those as well.
When your done and ready to react to a new thing could you Mabey do one of my favourite shows Gravity falls but if you don’t like action Comedy thriller then this show is not for you

He was still bleeding because those weren’t bullets that hit him, it was shrapnel from the rocket. Shrapnel is smaller and sharper and is more likely to damage someone than bullets. There are people who live with shrapnel in them if it’s too hard to remove. The battery magnetizes the shrapnel and keeps it from piercing his heart.
Tony Stark is quite tragic, once you see some of the other movies you understand some of his attitudes and why he feels about so many things. His character arc is one of my favorites of all movies I’ve seen.
Theodore Roosevelt, for example. He was shot while running again for President. The bullet was slowed by his steel glass case and the folded speech that he was about to give for the crowd. he refused medical attention because the medicines of the day would have knocked him out. He announced to the crowd : "Ladies and gentlemen, I do not know if you are aware but I have been shot. However, it takes more than that to stop an old Bull Moose." He then gave his speech from memory, speaking for more than an hour and a half.
When he was finally checked over by a surgeon, they ruled out doing exploratory surgery to find the bullet [as it was a greater risk] and left the bullet where it lodged in his rib. The bullet was in his rib for the remainder of his life, long after his run for president in the Bull Moose Party, nicknamed due to his speech.
in the case of Tony Stark, the electromagnet was designed to prevent the shrapnel from worming deeper and destroying his heart.
His arc is very messy in the mcu
We got a more solid arc from civil war feeling he must be responsible, in homecoming he still dealing with the events of the previous film and doubts about spiderman, in infinity war we got him finally understanding the menace he felt continuing his PTS from avengers 1 and loosing, and in endgame he became a true hero.
I feel far from home works as a world without ironman bringing everything in circle to iron man 1, for example the return of that scientist who stane yelled and the back in black scene also gave that feeling

As a massive Marvel fan, and somebody whos watched the entire Harry potter react series, I'd just like to tell Monica to keep an open mind. I've noticed Monica loves characters with a good personality, and I think Marvel does a very good job. The character development throughout these movies is astounding, and I love it. I hope you give a real shot, I think you will love the series and the franchise. Cant wait to come along for the journey!
If you are going to watch whole mcu there's 3 things to remember:
1. Rhodey is being recasted in Iron Man 2
2. Hulk is recasted after his movie
3. Post credit scenes...
And talk a lot less so you don’t miss important plot points and dialogue.

Most of her criticism was explained in the movie and she never connected the dots. It was hard to watch her miss so many explanations. The talking over the movie accounts for much that was missed. I kept wanting to tell her what was just explained.

Yeah man, she is so logical. She has a hard time fantasizing and accepting what's being presented to her on the screen. Coming off of their Harry Potter reation playlist, to see her have a hard time accepting that the story is fiction was really puzzling to me. Who on this earth can't fantasize and enjoy the story without inciting logical into it. I know it's a reaction video but it's so annoying that she talks through a lot and that he edits and shows us the parts of her (them) talking throughout the movie. It's so annoying and hard to watch! Other great reaction channels have come to understand that if you're going to react to a movie you can talk very sparingly but the majority of the reaction and questioning comes after you have watched the movie. We are basically re-watching each movie with you, so imagine sitting in front or behind someone at the movie theatres and they are talking and asking questions throughout the entire movie, its so frustrating! We love watching your facial expressions and surprises to certain things but to basically have a full on conversation while the characters in the movie are talking is so cringy and bothersome, I actually fast forward the video until I get to a part to where no one is talking.

Well, I come from the future and his channel has grown thanks to her. I like that they talk in the middle of the movie, because that makes it real. That's what makes a reaction special.
You're doing a lot less 'reacting' to the movie and more just questioning what's on screen - most of which is getting answered while you're talking.
Yeah, it's a little frustrating seeing these two yapping over parts of the movie that they should be paying attention to. They aren't even reacting to stuff, they're just cracking jokes and fucking off.

Take a frank advice from me. Honestly if you talk while watching then you'll miss a lot of things. If you want to enjoy and understand the BEST then watch the films attentively and then you can do all the talks and discussion after finishing the film.

Tony wasn't really being sexist with the soldier though, he was remaking that he thought of her as a soldier, not as male or female. You missed that because you were chatting about it during that part but yeah, he's a playboy for sure but that's about it. And even that changes fairly quickly.
Also, Tony *is* a genius engineer, and just... generally. He *does* mass produce his designs, but they're all designed initially by him, or at least the ideas originate with him. He loves working on and building things in general, that's why he's able to build the first suit.

she is a very critical person, and every time theres a pause for another escene i think she search for a thing to complain. Answering some questions that she had: he was hit with a bomb not a bullet, the car that he was on was obviously bullet proof, no one saw the first armor because of the camera, she didnt went to where tony was because she was doing the interview and the villian didnt died for the fall because, like tony, he kind of flew his way back but all the electricity killed him. If you wanna be over critical with the scenes then watch the entire scene

Also, The Incredible Hulk and both Spider-Man movies are not on Disney+ but they are part of the MCU. Also there are end credits in every MCU movie, the first phase 1 end credit at very end (expect for Hulk) then after that theirs a minimum of 2 end credits.

Not sure if it was mentioned elsewhere, but the guy who plays Happy Hogan, Tony's long-time security head and sorta-bodyguard, is Jon Favreau, and also the director of this and the next Iron Man film. I don't know that he gets enough credit for the stellar job he did in setting-up the MCU with the right tone and ground-work. To an extent, Jon walked so that Whedon and the Russos (and Feige, and others) could run. Props to him for that. This could all have gone very wrong very quickly if Favreau didn't start it off so well. He earned the audience buy-in that made the MCU possible.
I think it's worth noting with Tony's character, especially at the beginning of the film, that he's not only a hugely-successful and very-rich entrepreneur, but that he was never really not that. His dad's success and genius, combined with Tony's own inherent gifts, ensured that he grew up in the lap of luxury. In a lot of ways, Tony's just a rich kid who never got slapped with reality until it literally blew-up in his face. It's not an excuse for his moral failings, and particularly his initial ones, but it does help explain why they exist at all.

Yooo love your videos man. Just a word of advice for someone watching the MCU for the first time, you probably want to watch them in release order and not chronological. Because some films like Captain Marvel are set in the past but you still need prior knowledge of the films that come before it, especially because of the post credit scenes. The next film on the list should be The Incredible Hulk (2008), but you wont find that or Spider-Man: Homecoming or Spider-Man: Far From Home on Disney Plus, because they were co-produced by Universal and Sony. Also make sure to stay for the scenes in the credits, they're important. Some have one, some have two, Iron Man has one right at the end which sets up everything to come.
Hadeed Butt I’d go by release as well, but I think they could skip the Hulk movie & not miss anything. Just go straight to Iron Man 2.

I used to not be bothered with these sorts of films, until I understood the main plots of the 3rd phase of the franchise. They sort of grew on me and I had to re-watch the earlier films to find easter eggs and stuff. Can't wait for new MCU films! Keep up with the series I loved the Harry Potter ones, great stuff!!

28:38 I think the alibi about Iron Man being a bodyguard is a referrence to the Comics because in a lot of Iron Man Comics (including the first), he was anonymous and he pretended to be Tony Stark's bodyguard.

This is the first “reaction” I'm watching with this pair; I'll have to see how it goes. So far, my first reaction is that I was expecting them to be *reacting* TO the movie, not *talking* THROUGH the movie. It's more like they're having a continual conversation, as the movie plays in the background. But, as I said, we'll have to see how it goes... I *did* subscribe, so I'll watch for awhile to give it a real chance.
Just watching the movie and reacting when something is reaction worthy would either have to be a compilation of only the best parts or just a video of them just sitting there and having reaction every 35 minutes. You can’t just sit there while a movie plays without any comment on it because that’s copyright infringement
@@dannyfenton9529that’s why you pause, if your convo isn’t gonna be less than 5 secs pause the video, whether it’s a movie, tv show or music reaction. If you don’t & just sit there & have a convo, you miss stuff & then don’t understand what’s going on & then have another convo ab how what your seeing doesn’t make sense bc you missed them explaining it while you were talking. Pausing will stop copyright infringement so that’s a bullshit excuse

The MCU is more about the characters and their interactions than the sci-fi part so I think you’ll really begin to enjoy it after a few movies!..
Also point to be noted: include end credits scenes (there maybe even 2 or 3 in some) in the reactions, otherwise people always ask if you missed them

The pure gamble with the first movies, though.
Marvel Comics had made television shows and cartoons and movies throughout the decades by partnering with studios until they sold movie rights to specific studios for specific franchises. Universal had Hulk, Namor and several others. Fox had fantastic Four and X-Men. Sony has the Spider-Man franchise. Those deals were made to prevent bankruptcy after the speculator market bombed.
Marvel Comics took stock of the characters not yet licensed to studios. The lack of creative control over their characters, and the percentages of revenue in prior deals soured them doing the same approach again. They put all of their chips into making Marvel Studios and creating movies that interlaced, allowing cross references to each other. If Iron Man had failed, Marvel Comics could have been liquidated.
The prior studio deals meant that those franchises could not be referenced. Many of the prior deals had sunset provisions where movies had a time frame to be completed and distributed in order to maintain ownership. Those that were allowed to revert can eventually be recast in the MCU.

I’ll never forget seeing that first trailer for Ironman online when I was a teen and just being so ready to see it. Which is funny because besides that there was only one superhero movie franchise I was interested in and that was Batman, and that was mostly because of Christopher Nolan. I say that to say that eventually I got into the films a couple years after the first Avengers came out for some reason (finally saw Avengers I guess). Which brings me to the point that I think if you go into it open minded you’ll find quite a few, if not most, of the movies enjoyable, some of them not so much, and some of them truly great.
From someone who became a Marvel zombie after thinking it was pretty stupid for the first few movies besides Ironman.

This is by far the best, most realistic Iron Man suit in any Marvel movie.

11:58 he doesn't produce his own products, but he dies still do some of the design. And he's a mechanic, he just likes to work on projects whether it's for his company or his personal benefit. For example, he made JARVIS and the little robot we see later on.
