Love seeing Oldsmobiles highlighted! I have a 69 Cutlass S w/ a 400 bored over to 410 and some other speed parts, mostly original suspension with some minor modifications, original turbo 350 with similar upgrades as the one here. It started as my daily driver in HS 1990. Still drive it do do errands and some light to light action. I will never let this car go🤘🏻

A lot of other muscle cars get the talk but I’ve always thought the Olds 1970 442 W30 with fiberglass hood and wheel wells was the most badazz of them all.

I had a 70 442 W-30 4spd with the same color combination as this beauty. I really miss that car. It was so special, fiberglass hood, red front wheel wells and of course the 455 beast. Basically a factory drag car. I appreciate cars like this and the people who keep them doing what these cars were built for.

This is a good lookin' 442 although rather bastardized. Note the missing W30 badging underneath the 442 badging. The red plastic innder fenders (less weight) are missing under the hood. No trumpet exhaust tips. It's got a 455 so it's a beast on the strip but a true factory W30 it is not.

My dad had this car. I seen a lot of muscle cars and still today this car was king. I remember we would be going up a steep hill and he would give a little fss. The front would lift up like a plane. Awesome machine, wish i had it still. Parts got impossible to find and off it went. Could you imagine filling this beast up today at 3 dollars a gallon? It was nasty back in the day now it would be a death sentence.

I had my 71 442 right around the time your dad bought that car mine was gold with black stripes I bought it in the beginning of 1982 I got busted twice in the same night I got brought to Jil with 11 tickets and they impounded my car my dad came and got me out of jail and my car out the impound and before he got home I was back in jail with 17 more tickets you have been to da pad in New Orleans east this before that was the race spot it was only about 6 miles away from there were I got busted racing this guy with a 66 big block chevelle. I totaled my cutless in 1984 going to the world's fair with my girl friend. I miss that car it was as nice as your dads.

Those W30's; W31's & Rallye 350's with those W25 option scooped fiberglass hoods made them stand out from all the other A body muscle cars of the early 70's in my opinion. Olds was onto a great thing with the development of the 4 valve per cylinder pent roof headed 455- that is until GM squashed it.

I had a 71 cutlass supreme with a 455 rocket and a turbo 400 transmission and I also put a crane cam in it and it had a B&M shift kit and I put a 411 posi in it and I took it to Atco Speedway in Atco New Jersey and it ran low 12's in the !/4mile and it didn't have nitrous in it because I was afraid of it catching on fire and I absolutely loved it and I was hooked on cuttlass's ever since then 💪😎👍❤️

Now don't ever sell that car and i love that you're out and about with this ,the Monster!!!! I sold my ols,s71 race car Modelo did the heads for it and it ran lit a raped ape!! Manual valve body trans from its self a 71 442 friggin rippin race car that destroyed anything on the road about 9 or 10 years ago like we all say i shouldn't of sold it !!! How stupid i was a long with the other 30 or _40 cars mainly all 68 through 72 Oldsmobile,s and to build it again id need a mortgage! But thank God i stit have my old man friend,s ,70 W,-30 with the ,w27 rear and all the documantation plus more doc,s I t very rare stock Auto with the dual gate witch is the best ,ive had several 4 speed s and this one still has the original cam snd and lifters i went through it snd kind of wish that I did the heads, cam and a few more goodies and my buddy was saying now's the time cause its apart but i left it stock its has some super rare options that were smart because my friend the old man I got it from new alot and definitely knew what he was doing when he ordered it but now at stock it s till has. a mind of its own dependind on certain times and certain weather of course and i t Runs again like a raped ape!!!! Damn i was with a friend not to long ago in July weather and it has 342,s and i stepped on it at 70 mph yep 70 !! Hewas looking at my own gauges and at 70 when i stepped on it it dn shifted snd threw us back , well definitely him and it lit up the tires for a couple seconds !!and that was a first at that speed !! I still can't bet it . well i can bet this car ain't like any of my other w cars or even the w-31,s that i got rid of I haven evendone anyway to it except change the fluids no. Plugs not even the points i ve been focy on healing my body from so many surgeries and dealing with my family and my Harley, choppers and trying to play the drums and to many high bodom problem,s and serios health stuff so thanks so much for putting that baby on.the video is great and i wist i had my race car .I don't want to beat on the,w-30 to hard and shoot a main rod right through the block HaHa but i g
Can stomp on all day and she shouldn't blow but just a little easier then when I was 23 years old !! Again i love it and miss racing my 71 Animal!!!! God bless you brotha
