European Rampage has such a great opening presentation. The music (the first WWF game with real themes), the Sean Mooney segments. But “then the bell rang.”
I’ve noticed that about a lot of Amiga ports, they go all out on the intro and the actual gameplay is very unsatisfying. Of course the Amiga centric mags seemed to give these games good reviews regardless.
Had an Amiga 500 in 1991 and can recommend games such as Shadow Of The Beast II (for adventure), Cannon Fodder (for strategy), Pinball Dreams (for an addictive pinball game), Dino Dini's Goal! (for football), Ilyad (for shoot-em-ups). Man, I had over 500 games on floppy disks for this machine and loved every minute of it.
Cannon Fodder! Great game...naming your little soldiers after your mates from school and watching them being bazooka'd to smithereens...oh how we laughed :D
Never owned an amiga and it makes learning about all these games super interesting. I was too busy looking up every super nintendo and sega genesis game back in the day so the fact there was even more on the Amiga and pc88 systems blows my mind still. If you're looking for something weird an interesting check out Dark Seed. It's a point in click adventure/horror game with visuals made for it by H. R. Giger. It came out on other platforms but i discovered it looking up amiga games. There's an odd Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game on the Amiga too.
Ultimate Maniacs where in fact a tag-team. They wrestled a few matches in the fall of 92 mostly against Nasty Boys (televised ! summerslam 92 pre-show (aired a night before the event) and also against Money Inc. Warrior left WWE in november 92 because of money issues.
@@ShadowAngel606 Concept was great, it was never realized. A few matches and a preshow that next to no one saw, like I said: great concept that never got off the ground. Never heard of a turn of phrase?
Love these videogame reviews. Weirdly enough, those were the videos that brought me to this channel. you would think as a lifelong wrestling fan it would be reliving the war showing up on my feed first but nope. Videogames it is. Either way, love this one. Always fun to look at obscure old school games I have never heard of.
Get a mate round and go through the The Chaos Engine in 2player (co-op shoot-em-up)...fuken classic! Mood, atmosphere, decent graphics and music. Also, cheers for all your work on the channel - you possibly don't know how much it means to many of us. All the best for the new year!
I was like you I used to be a big collector of games up until a few years back when the prices went up it just killed my enthusiasm for doing it so I started using mini consoles too. I only played the C64 version of Wrestlemania as a child and it used to ruin joysticks. The CPU was also way too hard and won grapples all the time. Although I worked out a glitch that got them locked in the bottom right corner so you could just keep knocking them out the ring and they would get tapped in that corner and you could repeat. It made it equally as rubbish as playing it and getting killed all the time. Also if you want Amiga games It Came from the Desert and Ruff 'n' Tumble are two of my favourites
Dude seriously thank you so much for all the content you dropped in just the last weeks alone , also when you said Chin Lockery i almost spit my drink out lmaooo
You mastered the art of the subtle but hilarious little jokes. The Street Fighter 2 part had me rolling! It was like you were fighting MK Acade version of Goro in Street Fighter form.
the amiga had some amazin' games: speedball2, stunt car racer, hybris, buggy boy, sidewinder, ik+, turrican, off road, swiv ...and i also liked the demoscene.
Oh boy, nostalgia strikin me hard, Amiga was my machine. Those are imo the best games from the kinds of genres I used to play.

On the Amiga I used to love playing Gods, Assassin, Batman, James Pond 2: Robo Cod, Magic Pockets, Zool, Blues Brothers, Addams Family, Crash Test Dummies, Chuck Rock, and many more.
Actually, the third championship thing really was considered a big deal, and it was a calling card of Hogan's through mid '91. That blurb looks like it came straight out of the WWF Superstars mag that year.
A great video Wrestling Bios as always but Street Fighter 2 on the Amiga was US Golf not Ocean One of my favourite Amiga games was Speedball 2 and Kick Off 2
It was terrible! I had played the wrestlefest arcade at the local cinema and was mesmerized by it. When I bought Wrestlemania and played it the first time it was one of the biggest gaming let downs ever!
Had an Amiga 500 back in the day. I remember getting wwf European rampage from a local car boot and wanting to go home straight away to play it as it had bret hart on it. Yes the disappointment hit hard but I spent hours listening to the music! As for other Amiga games to try defo cannon fodder, flashback, sensible world of soccer, speedball and syndicate. Obviously this was the console where championship manager first appeared what a game. Player a 4 players with mates and making bets who would finish highest/top scorer etc. happy days!
Davey's quote should have been: "There's no bull in this Bulldog..." Rampage seems like one of those games that someone got it as a kid and they forced themselves to like it b/c it was one of a few games they had, and they were gonna play it and beat it come hell or high water.
You've probably played some on other platforms but Sleepwalker, Sensible Soccer, Sensible Golf, Syndicate, Dreamweb, Cannon Fodder, Chaos Engine, Ultimate Soccer Manager, European Champions, Speedball 2, Lotus Turbo Challenge 2, Police Quest, Skidmarks, Dynablaster, Super Tennis Champs, Desert Strike... are some I remember being pretty good back in the day.
Serious credit for the amount of time of spent on these games man... Plus did anyone think the big picture of the British bulldog in the background looks more like stephany ????
I was sooo looking forward to European Rampage on my Amiga. My friends at school lied to me, said they already had it, and basically described the best wrestling game ever. Imagine my disappointment when getting it on my birthday 😂
As a kid I never got to play these but saw them in magazines, and I was fascinated by WrestleMania looking like WrestleFest (well, like Superstars at least). I wish they'd used the arcade games as the graphical and gameplay basis for all of the SNES/MegaDrive WWF games. I played the hell out of them at the time, but looking back, the only decent wrestling game I had in that era was Saturday Night Slam Masters.
My first “console” was the Amiga and I played Wrestlemania so much as a kid in New Zealand. Ruined so many joysticks because of the grappling mini game. But, this video brings back a lot of great childhood memories.

The only WWF game I had on the Amiga growing up was Microleague Wrestling, which would be hilarious to see you try out (you'll see why). There was also WCW Superbrawl, which isn't much worse than the two you've tried here. I still have my Amiga, I had WWF Wrestlemania (As part of a fighting compilation with Final Fight and Pit Fighter) and I had that joystick. The ultimate warrior’s “theme” had me dying😂😂😂😂
I’m absolutely dying at this video. “I was ready to do the job” brilliant, keep it up please!
7:44 You finally found the real heat behind Booker T's "I'm comin' for you..." line. Hogan went back in time and stole the missile drop kick lol

Cannon Fodder was great
There's a good emulator that plays all Amiga games. Let me know and I'll tell you about it.
Amiga's graphics compared to IBM was such a notable contrast, it was a surprise that Amiga was the one who went out of business.
Moonstone is an absolute classic as well, I had it on one of my many 'backup's' on copied floppy disks when I bought my A500 from my neighbour.

Steve Blackman once threw a punch and knocked out 3 people. Then his punch landed.
Nice
Nah. His punches has a permanent x3 multiplier effect.

I had an Amiga 500, I remember getting the WWF game for Christmas 1991.
I always enjoy your looks back at these vintage wrestling games.

I agree buying carts for old consoles is expensive and half the time they don't work
A great video Wrestling Bios as always but Street Fighter 2 on the Amiga was US Golf not Ocean
One of my favourite Amiga games was Speedball 2 and Kick Off 2

It was terrible! I had played the wrestlefest arcade at the local cinema and was mesmerized by it. When I bought Wrestlemania and played it the first time it was one of the biggest gaming let downs ever!
It reminds me even more of Superstars, Wrestlefest's pedescessor.
It's actually a "port" (or actually "inspired by and copied") of the WWF Superstars Arcade game that came before Wrestlefest
You ARE able to play as Mr Perfect in Wetlemania´s pactice mode when you use a joystick in Port 2
There's something charming about how these old games play.... getting frustrated with old spectrum, c64 and amiga games were part of my childhood
