    As an American where 80% of adults are overweight. I would argue some type of low carb diet (Keto, Ketovore, Carnivore etc.) is where to start. I appreciate this take though as super low carb can be hard to sustain. Finding a "lifetime" healthy diet is my goal so I appreciate the information.

    Hi, Do you eat organic meat?

    • @MichaelKummer
      @MichaelKummer  6 месяцев назад

      I try to stick to regeneratively and 100% pasture-raised meat when possible. I don't care about the organic label.

    I've watched the whole video, and I surelly find it beneficial to cut industrialized and ultra processed foods. I also admire anyone who has the discipline to go on a diet that it restrictive and socially awkward. I can't ignore the fact, though, that there are A LOT of really healthy people who eat many vegetables and fruits. We have multiple studied that associate more vegetables and fruits with better health

    In my opinion, this diet is so healthy because you eat so much less junk food and additives. In addition, it is nutrient dense and the nutrients are well utilized compared to plant-based foods.

    What do you mean by double fermented , how do you do it? And what do you think about glycation when adding carbs to your diet? Also dont you think that when adding carbs the benefits of fueling your body with only ketons is being denied?

    • @MichaelKummer
      @MichaelKummer  24 дня назад +1

      The double-fermentation process in sourdough bread making involves two distinct stages that help develop the dough's structure and flavor. First, the initial fermentation, or bulk fermentation, occurs after mixing the sourdough starter, flour, water, and salt. During this stage, the naturally occurring wild yeast and lactic acid bacteria in the starter break down sugars in the flour, releasing carbon dioxide, which causes the dough to rise while creating a tangy flavor profile. Once the dough has risen, it's shaped and allowed to rest for a second, longer fermentation, typically in the refrigerator. This second fermentation, known as proofing or cold fermentation, slows down yeast activity while enhancing the complexity of the dough's flavor and improving its texture.
      I think that there is a reason why humans can convert carbs to glucose and use it for energy. I also appreciate the benefits of leveraging ketones but considering our opportunistic nature, I don't believe never eating carbs is more beneficial than cycling back and forth between using ketones and glucose for energy.

      @@MichaelKummer do you still have the same benefits like on full carnivore( waking up hyped, focus and energy all day and am general life positive feeling)? Or do you just make this compromise of feeling a bit worse just to eat more freely?

    • @MichaelKummer
      @MichaelKummer  23 дня назад +1

      @@AiMHeNNe I don't feel any worse than on a pure carnivore diet on MOST days. It really depends on what I eat and if I'm willing to take a hit in return from eating something my body doesn't handle well.

    Recently switched from a more Paleo type of diet to much more animal-based, and I feel much better. Recently learned how oxalates were probably still impacting my health negatively, and largely removing foods high in oxalates from my diet has really helped a lot.
