The biggest issue when getting a cold call is the amount of my time you're taking up. I don't wanna listen or be obligated to talk to you. Get to the point and stop being so wordy. I hate to be asked "can I ask you this, before you hang up is it okay if..." Its asking me to do you the favor of listening to you when we both know I'm not interested. Start with what you can do for me, I gotta be immediately interested and see why IM being helped. No one likes "please listen and buy this for me" vibes.
@@Vinnietrips An example is "hi how are you today, you mind if I ask you a few questions about such and such," I do mind so just ask. or if I ask a simple question and you give me a bunch of details about the product when It could have been a 5 word answer. Like hush already jeez. I'm probably a terrible lead for any company so I may not be the best to take advice from.
Thanks for this! Great tip. Be frank. "Hi I'm providing house security!" Either a quick no, or if they don't hang up, bam step two, they're hooked they didn't hang up so now you can actually provide the value of said product "I can provide you a better priced rate per month and better quality security system". They still haven't hung up, likely they're not screaming yes, step three the close out. And that's where I'm stuck 😂 I'm learning and very very new to sales any tips are greatly appreciated!
Why is everyone is such a rush when they cold call? The reason language used to be in a rush happens is because people are trying to get one call closes. Stop thinking like a boiler room douche. Just realize cold calls are to start a convo and get leads, not deals. Deals come from sending information, getting demos, appointments, that's when you sell your guts out. Not on the first cold call.
Cold calls are only for setting appointments. No one has the time right then and there for a demo. Schedule a meeting a week or two out and send them a meeting invitation.
CIRCLE PROSPECTING Script… Hey Jeff.. it’s Adrian with REMAX.. is this a good time you have just 30 seconds? Thank you, the reason for the call is I have a client looking to buy a house ..just like that one .. so I was curious.. do you have any plans in moving? If no.. MOVE ON If yes.. set the appointment
I heavily disagree This gives away all your power and gives them an excuse to get to say NO! And hang up on someone after spending all day talking tedious bullshit on the phone at work. If you act soft and meek and delivery this timidly like you're begging them not to hang up they will just see it as an excuse a free pass to be an asshole and definitely hang up. But alot of comments are saying that they've had success with it so it can definitely work for some people. But be disastrous if said with any weakness. If you deliver it in a very confident way and know exactly what to say next to guide and control the flow of conversation then yeah you'll be in complete control. If you have something exciting to sell at least.
I think you should combine this with being direct… “hey my name is … I called because I saw your house was bought in 2012 and appreciated 150%, are you looking to sell right now… if so can I get a few minutes of your time to discuss how I can get you maximum value?
how can one tell prospects from suspect callers? it's reason why public are a little edgy about taking calls.. really important skill set though that a few clearly have. thx.

It’s a numbers game. Some industries are a hundred no’s (if not hundreds) for every yes, and that’s just for the people that actually answer the phone. However, it’s a numbers game, and if you can get every 4 people to stay on the phone for every 20 answers or whatever instead of 3, then all else being equal, that’s a 33% increase in sales.
Just out of curiosity, would you respond any differently? If the opener was something like, “Hey cards in the closet, I’ll be up front, this is a cold call, so do you wanna just hang up on me right now or let me have 30 seconds to tell you why I called and then decide?”
