    Marin Alsop Is awesome!
Truly a testament that talent on a conductor’s podium knows no gender.
Bernstein knew this and you can almost see the mentorship instilled in Marin.

High time women have broken the ice in conducting the beautiful classics now there can be great turning back to our original traditional music and not just be music just for men. Music and any type is for all races and genders to do anything you want to do with it ! Play or conduct it!! Thanks that things and rights have changed for the freedom of all!! No more music just for the stuck up folks!!

Thank you so much for sharing this precious opportunity! It was clear that NOSPR's music changed when the conductor changed. The participants had great potential and Maestro Marin Alsop's advice penetrated their minds. And when I saw it, I was moved too.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Si algo queda claro es que es el director quien toca el instrumento llamado orquesta, si sabe comunicar claramente lo que desea hacer.

How do orchestra players ‘read’ a conductor? What do they look for, physically & ‘inspirationally’? Be sure to ask them!

These conductors practice in the mirror and think they look effective. They did not analyze what they’re really conveying. So hard to change in a short lesson. Hope they refer to this video. Alsop is a great conductor and teacher.

So why do you believe isn't effective, do you know what conduction is?

The fictional (not real!!) character "Lydia Tar" has got nothing to do with anybody in this video. The character Tar was invented by a (very unimaginative) Hollywood movie director called Todd Field.

Surely they could have found a longer cable to wrap around that poor girl’s body…? Never seen anything so ridiculous.
