    Oh my goodness, I am SO enjoying myself going back through your oldest tutorials, Daniel! I know you won't see this as it's so old, but am trying to remember to leave likes and comments to boost your YT presence (or whatever that's called). I love reading all the other comments, too. The "Cooper Effect" is a perfect name for your techniques you've been developing. 😊
    Commenters are correct: your voice is very soothing and calming, plus you're a natural at teaching!

    This effect is called petri, and you are pulling wisps through it, so your explanation of the effect was spot on. Normally you put white drops on your colors to make them 'dance' but since opaque is heavier than clear they already do that by themselves. If you want bigger strains of petri you can always decide to add more white on top of the colors. Of you want more control you could drop white (or color) in with a toothpick, or even a needle for very fine control.

    I found you by fluke last week and thank god I did! ❤️ Not only is your voice soothing while working but your instructions are fantastic! You talk to us like the genuine person and artisan that you are (which I'm not going to lie is a breath of fresh air! I can't stand those people in tutorials that are too hyper and animated as it throws off the learning🤦😆). Thanks sooo much for everything that you do and can't wait for you to make more videos! You remind me of a Bob Ross with an accent... soothing yet entertaining in your own quirky way which is the best ("I love that new clicking sound." Hahahah! Not gonna lie... Me too!😆 From your fire cabachons video). I will be sending you money soon as supplies cost money and the more supplies you have the more amazing tutorials you can do!❤️ Mr. Cooper Bob Ross whisping a little happy tree in resin would be cool and funny af!😆❤️

Was just really relaxing after a long hard week!❤️😆 Also quick question... What group are you in on Facebook as I would love to be connected to more people that are still learning and I'd like to follow you and your work as well if that's cool!❤️🤗 Feel free to connect with me on Facebook (my name on there is Pinky Pie) and my hobby shop is Aine's Creations & Oddities. Once again, cruising through your older tutorials! Still enjoying myself. 😅 I can't remember if I ever tried doing this with my opaques...or not? I notice the petri effect is quite a bit more defined with the opaque inks, than when using transparent alc inks and sinker white dropped on them. Huh. Wonder why?

    • @daniel..cooper
      @daniel..cooper  10 месяцев назад

      Thank you 😊 Yes, they can look more defined, I think it's due to a controlled white already in the ink, where as we normally drop the white over after which is a different dilution to opaques 😊

      Great video! I have a similar resin (i am in US and don’t think i can get this resin but maybe i can try the lets resin brand you refer to also?) and the exact same let’s resin opaque inks and mine don’t “dance” at all and as a result I am guessing this is the reason my results are not close. Any suggestions?

      That's strange, maybe try the Let's Resin resin and see if they then dance?

    I enjoyed the video, it had no hidden parts in it, it was honest and as I find it should be. so Thank you Daniel :) I do have a question What actually causes the texture please. Is it the type of resin or the alcohol inks. I also am curious if you could use the mica powders and mix them with the alcohol so you can use them in powder form or liquid for please. Either way I love your work so thank you for sharing

      Thanks 😊. The texture is created by the heavier pigments in the white sinker 😊😊
