Fair enough. It however isn't one-sided. Every guy I grew up with that tried to simply work and take care of their families ended up with "bored" wives who knew they could leave and get the house, car, kids (child support) and if they guys hadn't had family they could've moved in with.. don't know what they'd have done. It happens all the way around

And, I, am not, in any way, shape or form, making excuses, for Marvin Gaye. Being involved with a child, which is what she was, is wrong and no, he, should not have done, such a, awful thing. Marvin clearly dealt with paranoid schizophrenia and maybe even some bipolar as his family and even colleagues described some very odd behavior for years leading up to Marvin‘s death. He would always walk around the house in a robe with a gun inside the robe pocket thinking someone was after him. Maybe the drugs caused the paranoid behavior. Not to mention the fact that he was deeply impacted by the death of Tammi Terrell. If no one else could make Marvin get a pep in his step the beautiful silly Tammi Terrell could and some even speculated that he was in love with her but of course sources confirmed that nothing ever transpired outside of friendship. Her last wish before her death was to go see Marvin perform and there she sat it the crowd frail, ill, but full of joy as I’m sure she could see herself up on that stage with Marvin as she’d always been. He spotted his girl in the audience and of course Went to her with his mic and they sang together for the very last time. Marvin was the only person from Motown that her family allowed at her funeral. Her family despised Motown but especially David Ruffin

I had the pleasure of meeting the then bodyguard of Marvin and in his words at 14 she was hanging out with him in the studio all hours of the night. It's sad she endured the trauma she did so early because her parents were losers. Sounds like she may have even been apart of a system to prepare children for abuse. To have power like Marvin did it isn't far fetched he may have been involved in some of these secret society's.

Every now and then you would hear rumors, but only the really bad stories broke into mainstream media and that was rare. Celebrities had the allure of mystery because what they did offstage or offscreen was left to the imagination. As a child of the early 70s, I liked it better back then.
