No matter what happens, whichever direction they go, just such an incredible shame Ray Stevenson is gone. Putting aside all of the potential his character had, just such a loss we've lost this incredible actor.

i agree it really feels like hes gonna get tricked. i feel like something is manipulating him and thats why hes so fine abandoning shin
She’s reckless and not worthy of meeting whoever the higher power is
If the Light lady is in Asokha maybe the Dark Guy is calling out to Baylon
@@thade6130 yes true as well
I never even considered that! I assumed it was because forcing your padawan to adhere to your line of thinking was part of the Jedi order he disagreed with. Whatever the reason, baylon/Ray has been one of the most exciting characters to watch in a long time
Yeah, and Shin will be possesed by this power and Baylan and Ahsoka would have to join forces. But IDK, one episode is enough time.
I think there's a very decent chance that it could be the Bendu calling to Baylan. I agree with all of the in-universe explanations you presented, but I also think there's just a bigger chance that Filoni would reference his own work, rather than something like Abeloth.
If palpatine shows up again in Ashoka, I'm gonna be pissed. It's supposed to be a story from a Galaxy, far, far away but we keep running into the same group of people.
1000%
Same
We'll probably get Snoke wink to connect this shit to the Disney abomination trilogy.
Pals is most likely lol or whatever lead to his return. Even bendu is more likely than abeloth though, no way that shit happens
It's not Star Wars without them. Ahsoka is an uninteresting character. She's an overused character, so... what the fuck are you on about?
The list of potential candidates for the one calling to Baylan Skoll just keeps on getting longer.
I know right
It's Sauron.
Lol so many video claiming they know for a fact who it is.
Maybe his mother is calling to him for dinner.
I mean, It's like 3 things.
As long as it's not Palpatine, I'm good. Let him be dead for good. But since Ahsoka is before the sequel trilogy it could be Palpatine. I hope not.
It's baby Snoke 🫣
Somehow Palpatine returned
As crazy as Kreia was, her quote "It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it." was very on point.
Shout out kotor2!
Baylan the Bendu. Sounds like a dr Seuss character lol
What about Anakin's final lesson to Asoka? Anakin showed her the balance he achieved between the Dark and the Light in his final lesson to her remember Asoka embraced the Dark to defeat Anakin but then choose "To live" and returned to the Light. I thought Anakin was just teaching Asoka how to fight someone as powerful as Baylan is with his forceful push's and strikes but after hearing this theory it does make better sense that Anakin was teaching her to embrace the dark and balance it with the light.
touching thoughts for Rays memory. I'm curious to see what will happen to him in the final episode. Live on in the force forever?
Rey? Meh. Sequel trilogy is garbage...
They meant Ray Stevenson (the actor who plays Baylan), not Rey from the sequels.
Having the Bendu as a theory is quite intriguing. But who knows if it will come true. I still think Baylan wants the World Between Worlds. To me that makes a lot of sense. It was on Thrawns ship last we heard.
Idk how they’re going to continue this show without him.
I see a lot of similaritys with Baylan and Anakin/Vader and i believe that his fate will be something similar
Agreed. The question is? Who's calling out to him? I've been reading some comments suggesting it could be that dark Zeffo or Abeloth? Baylan wants to end the cycle (Tricked). If so to what end? Theory? Possibly to retake the galaxy (power?)
@@srsleprock3062 i have been thinking it was the bendu but i dont think he is really that evil so Im not so sure anymore. I feel its unlikely to be abeloth because i dont think they would dig up such old legendscontent so as long as it isnt a completly new character i think zeffo is the best theory so far

It's Jar Jar Binks, the most devious of the Sith lords, that's calling Baylan.
Baylan is tricked by someone or something. He follows something darker. He listens to it. I think it's good he left Shin. I don't think it's Bendu. It's not. Baylan is being manipulated. I completely agree with you in the stance about light and the dark. The Force can become something terrible if we have selifish reasons and motives. It's up to us,light or the dark. We need to make selfless choices,to have better motives To act selflessly and to have selfless wishes.Anakin acted out of fear and selfishness. He didn't listen to the Force, and it's will. May the Force be with you too.
The bendu look a lot like the Tauren from WoW.
Sigh… reminiscing on my old Warcraft playing days.
I’ve wondered why we haven’t seen Ahsoka’s deep connection to sight through the force, much like Baylan. Why isn’t she hearing what Baylan is hearing. In clone wars we see Ahsoka counseled directly by Yoda (the plot to assassinate Padme) because of her extreme sensitivity to sight in the force-more so, even, to those on the Jedi counsel.
AWESOME! This is the exact type of lore info that I've been hoping for.
THANKS!
🤠
The predictions at this point are just out of proportion.
R.I.P. Ray Stevenson.🙏❤️May the force be with you always.❤
I still think it is Abeloth calling him, so, yes, I agree he is being tricked.
Also, I don't like the way his relationship with Shin just...ended.
They were interesting, and both great actors.
Also, I like the way star wars has expanded on the light/dark sides of the force. Specifically in regards to the concept of Grey Jedi. Even as a kid I found the ideologies of the Jedi and Sith were fundamentally flawed.
Yep. Too much light blinds the eyes and you cannot see. Too much darkness you also cannot see. There needs to be a balance of both.
Only Sith deal in absolutes...
AGREED
The Bendu was not a galactic force. What Baylan wants is to bring the conflict between light and dark to an end. Needs more than the Bendu for that in my opinion 🤷🏼♂️
Though the Bendu dose call people often....I don't think it's him either...
@@soularprimestudios5930 I know what you mean but that could be true for other dark entities as well 🤷🏼♂️.
I am curious tho did Baylan ever felt that pull when they were in the OG galaxy as well? If so that might be a damn powerful being.
Define a galactic force... because we never really saw the Bendu's overall potential, just what he was capable of when he finally lashed out on Atollon. Even Thrawn was still left scared of the Bendu after he supposedly "defeated" him.
@@tehmarok thrawn does not weild the force so may not have been able to fully understand the Bendu.
A beeing that call out to dark Sidious from across the galaxy (or even another galaxy) is literally a galactic force. Abiloth would be another one.
@@thedarkside3899No one understood the Bendu, even with the force. It still doesn't change the fact that we never saw his actual capabilities, and then he straight up disappeared on Thrawn after telling him his future. All we really saw was him saying he wasn't involved in the light vs dark, and murking both sides.
It's the one ring to rule them all.
Ash nãzg durbatulûk
The return of darth revean
He's the only one who hears it, because it's calling to him.
Basically, Baylan is the new version of Qui Gon
His lightsaber is clearly red. Certain shots make it more orange but I think it’s just lighting and angles, not because it’s an orange red
Lol LAST time you said it was abiloth
I believe that we will never know and he will be written out of the series like cora dune
I love the way he says Jedi Order
Jedi do value self control a great deal to genuinely help others. Compassion is a good virtue to develop and wisdom will balance it out
if baylon doesnt die this season...could nick offerman replace him?
Meh...
Darth Swanson
What a shitter of an idea
Next season: Baylan found what (who?) he was looking for, and was... transformed. There goes the recasting.
PS: RIP Mr. Stevenson, and my condolences to his family.
I wonder was he able to film all his scenes and plot before passing away? Anyone know?
Yeah he passed away shortly after wrapping the season
What did he pass from?
Skoll is in Viking mythology the gigantic wolf that will devour the sun and bring Ragnarok where all the gods will die in one last battle and all creation will be destroyed -but out of the destruction, a new world will be born.
Hey I have something for you 🎉…
I think he wants to start a new Jedi Order. Far away in a new galaxy.
It’s crazy how little you can tell that the mother actress is.
Personally, I think it will be abeloth, but the bendu is an interesting idea, and I’d be down either way
Nice!
Thanks love hypothesis
Jolee Bendo: Bah, I am too old and set in my ways to care for power but don't annoy me pup or else imma choke you harder than you wanted Bastilla to last night.
Im more inclined to agree with the bendu than abeloth
This is the a Rebels plotline, look to that lore as occams razor
I know going back to the same old things can be frustrating for Star Wars fans, but if something dark is reaching out, wouldn’t make the most sense to lead to Exegol? I mean, at least it would connect the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy a bit.
I think your idea about the Bendu is correct. He never said that his name was Bendu, that's just what Kanan called him based on what he had said. "The Jedi and Sith wield the Ashla and Bogen, the light and the dark. I'm the one in the middle... the Bendu." He's very clearly stating that the Bendu is the place between the Ashla and the Bogen. I don't think that's what Baylon is trying to be though, just like I don't think it's Abeloth that's calling to him. If you think of "Legends" material as just that, legends, from within the Star Wars galaxy itself, then I think he would be looking for the Font of Knowledge and the Font of Power... to destroy them both if he can. Maybe they will be called something else in the Filoniverse, but that's what I think he meant about seeking the beginning so he can bring the cycle to an end.
Hey I have something for you 🎉…
Yep the force is very strong with the moose. This is the way.
I want to see a force martial arts fighter who doset use a saber
What is calling to Baylan? I don't know, but as long as it is not Palpatine, I will be happy.
Hey I have something for you 🎉…
It is so sad that we got one of the most compelling force users in years and now we wont see him again 😢
I wonder if it's abolaloth the one who's calling baylen
Ahsoka Ezra Sabine Groku Cal Jason become all Ronin Jedi, Jedi with no Order this is percfect and make sense Luke will the old Jedi bring no Emotion no bonds this is the wrong why.
We all know it’s Snoke. And it’s not going to be fun.
The problem with trying to balance the Light Side and Dark Side is that they are too different to mingle with each such as the Light Side harmony to the chaos of the Dark Side.
Being good but passionate doesn’t sound too bad. Letting yourself feel your emotions instead of suppressing them doesn’t sound too bad either. Just don’t be evil.
Jar Jar
Wouldn’t Ezra have sensed “something “ after all these years?
They will probably tie in snoke or palpatine clone to allow them to link up the movies
Hey I have something for you 🎉…
What are the cons of fully embracing the light side of the force?
At this rate the next person calling to baylon will be yareal poof
No i think he was aware of the beings of Mortis and he serks that power- when ironically only anakin is
sum of his statements lign up with kreia. I believe he intends to completely annihilate the force. Blaming light, and dark for the tribulations and warfare of the galaxy at large.
Is the Asoka series not a regular seasonal tv series or is it just a multi part movie that will end after the next episode or what will someone please help me out with this
Or as I call him Force Snuffleupagus
Hey I have something for you 🎉…
Ah, I see others are catching onto my theory that the Bindu is involved. It follows straight from the Rebels storyline.
Baylan may be trying to become a Bendu, but probably will get a BENDOVER!
RIP
Who was Bays master? Dooku?
Hello there!
A bindu Chile?
What dark side powerhas Baylan used?
I think it could be A😊baloth
Everyone forgets that it's just a speculation with no basis to it and giving the writers to much of a credit... Did everyone forgot the theories of Snoke being *Insert a Darth something here* or the *Abaloth doing her thing to someone*. Let's be honest, it's not going to be anything deep. Baylan wants to be balanced in the force but will be killed off to establish Ashoka as a true balance. (I won't be surprised if she'll become the chosen one)
Idk why it isn’t being talked about but why are his eyes such a vibrant blue if his behavior is pretty dark.
I thought Ahsoka said that in Boba Fett or Mando season 2
How about if it is Snoke?
The reach on these theories lol
Baby Snoke 👀
The problem with this theory is that the Bendu aren't "dark side". They are more neutral.
I disagree on what you said about the Bendu orginization. Specifically when you mentioned the jedi choosing the light instead of balance.
The light side of the force is a term that was made up by the community, in the first star wars movies it wasn't even mentioned. Obi wan and Yoda only used the term the Force not the Light Side. The Light Side and the Dark Side or not some sort of yin and yang representation in star wars, the Force or The Light Side represents balance in the force in it's entirety, it is what helps bring light and prosperity to the Star Wars universe, The Dark Side goes AGAINST the balance, it causes destruction and loss of life and ultimately destroys the mind of the wielder. Anger is not a Dark Side emotion, jedi can control their emotions wheras Sith let it corrupt them.
Hey I have something for you 🎉…
Baylen next Vader duhh.
Ahem. Wrong! .... that is all.
Think baylan is being manipulated, if that is the right word, but why only him, as a strong force user it would make you wonder cause he is not seeking chaos actually the opposite.
SW Meg said the other day that Baylan and Shin will NOT die in Ep 8. So Baylan will not have his Raiders of the Lost Ark death moment. Audience may feel cheated if he did get that or how Walter Donovan died in the Last Crusade. The most interesting character of Ahsoka was just a sucker all along.
I figure Baylan will not die because they finished filming 7 months before Ray died. I'm not sure the writers had Baylan dying in mind a year ago. Will likely be addressed for S2 like a lot shows or movies that dealt from an actor's death, leaving the project, or simply got fired. The Godfather Part II didn't even have Marlon Brando for that final flashback sequence and it was still a great film.
Let's say Shin joins Ahsoka. What exactly is she gaining? Ahsoka couldn't beat Baylan twice. And it's not like Ahsoka is a really great teacher from her results with Sabine. Ezra is also right there. He's way ahead of Shin as a Jedi. I believe Shin will end up in Thrawn's group even with her wiccaphobia. But I can see her turn to the light ala Wanda later down the road.
Wanda was very interesting too early on until she started to turn heel in WandaVision and then Multiverse of Madness. Then fans started to hate her. Ivanna Sahkno has that face of an Elizabeth Olsen who can portray unhinged, broken female characters.
I like Shin but she's too weak for my taste. Ahsoka can't even handle Baylan who fights like Vader with slow swings but hits extremely hard. But each time Ahsoka confronts Baylan's padawan, she whoops Shin's ass. Ahsoka is a downgrade of a teacher from Baylan if you ask me. But it's Disney. Girl power!
Shin may grow tiresome to me like what happened to Darth Maul and Kylo Ren looking cool and badass initially. This is why I wasn't running out to buying merch of Shin. I did this for Daemon Targaryen last year and I have zero regrets because he really is a badass. He's popular for a reason and his final moments are badass.
I hope more shows come out about the Targaryens because I love Baelor Breakspear and Brynden Rivers. Daemon is a rare exception like a Darth Vader and Iron Man where they look cool and they really are cool in the story. While Darth Maul and Kylo Ren is judging a book by it's cover and you realize they're lame. Kylo Ren was the bigger disappointment.
Ep 8 may end up with little fanfare and be predictable. But knowing Filoni's erections from Ahsoka, he'll make her accomplish impossible feats like she's Ethan Hunt. What if Baylan ends up looking like a moron like Donovan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? *He* *chose* *poorly.* Should've just used purrgils to go there. No need to ally with Morgan.
Baylan ends up losing his life perhaps by S2 whether off-camera or using a stand-in from far away with a hoodie. He already lost his "daughter" in Shin. Writers are being forced to kill Baylan and make him look like a moron because Ray died. Quite a predicament the writers are put in since nobody can predict actors dying months ahead of time and Ray was only 58.
It's the only way to do this unless they're willing to recast for Baylan. Kinda sucks, doesn't it? Baylan is the best and most interesting character in the show. Perhaps the best SW character in 40 years. Then the writers are forced to give him a cheap death and make him look like a moron at the end for guessing wrong about this great power calling him on Peridea because the actor really died.
Remember in The Dark Knight, The Joker didn't technically die in it even though we all knew Heath Ledger died. By The Dark Knight Rises which came out 4 years later, they did a time jump of 8 years and never mention Joker's whereabouts. Is that how the writers will handle this? A time jump? Then mention Baylan died like T'Challa dying from an undisclosed disease.
If Baylan is killed off whether we get a Season 2 or from the Heir to the Empire movie, I prefer if it's only mentioned he died. Don't show it to us or it will make him look stupid. Don't give him a Raiders of the Lost Ark/Last Crusade death scene. The writers shouldn't be forced to do that since we're all aware Ray died.
Saying Ashoka could not beat Baylan is a clear reach. She does not kill people she does not need too. The stakes are way higher than some mercenary who had no power at the temple. If you know so much of Star Wars and comparing Baylon to Vader, Ashoka almost sliced Vaders head off before Anakin came out.
Could it be the force ghost of Darth traya?
How does it feel to be wrong all the time?
I do not believe Baylan is a fallen Jedi, the order failed and he sought balance. I truly believe he wants to stop the eternal battle between the extremes of the force.
I genuinely hope not.
It s all just speculation up to this point tho..
Facts
Mace Windu was able to balance the light & dark sides of the force as he incorporated part of the dark side in his lightsabre skills
To an extent
@@axelgear666 to what extent?
@kennethmelnychuk9737 mace was still blinded by the dogmatic views of the jedi, but he was the closest to perceive the fogness surrounding the chancellor.
Compared to every other jedi grandmaster, mace could channel the darkside, really had the most proficient experience with darkside energies, as he likely was one of rhe few to train with the forbiddwn arts of juyo. Tbh mace and yoda were the only true foes sidious feared most.
Ever wonder why the jedi were unable to detect the sith for so long?
The jedi temple on corruscant was built on top of a sith shrine kek
I think Mace was quite dark side in his attitudes at times, very cold and unfeeling especially to anakin and Ashoka and came across as being quite arrogant at times. I’m guessing that is not an attribute of the light side.
In the end going to strike down palpatine in ep 3 was pretty unjedi like - would say this appeared as hypocritical to anakin and the last straw for him.
Mace was arguably the closest to sense dark users but only bc he dabbled with violent force forms, and I seriously doubt Mace would have a fraction of perceiving the darkness by comparison to old republic jedi. The jedi were stunted for millenia

at least come up with something that makes since trying to become a bendu? if that were true i swear to god id never watch starwars again.
It would be catastrophically stupid to introduce a giant force moose in the last episode of the season.
All these theory vids speculate same thing, nothing new ever revealed tonight's last episode. Would be nice if somthing new was stated in all these Starwars vids but you watch 1 you've seen and heard them all. Theres more and more if exactly everything we've all seen in epidode 7 just being talked about. Watch lots not going to be Bendue or aythol witch.
I’m not sure that this was Baylan’s original intent.
He signed up to bring Thrawn back. But after he learned that Thrawn was in a Galaxy on a planet that he learned as stories told by Jedi Younglings, that he was talking himself and Shin into danger. When Grd Admrl Thrawn sent him and Shin to track down Sabine, and then he felt the call of something dark and powerful. It was then that he realized that this might be a one way trip for him as up to that point, he still wanted to train her, but then tells her to leave him, do their job and return to Thrawn. And then he wants for Ahsoka.
Oh look another theory that won't happen.
