Whoever Marrok is, being the last Inquisitor shows finesse of resilient power and his stance/pose reminds me of a Jedi Guardian-yellow lightsaber-with knight like outfit. 😎👍
Marrok's ability to switch fighting styles is reason enough to fear him. The biggest downfall for Maul was his unwillingness to concede to change in his fight with Kenobi. He also gives off younger energy, which suggests his training doesn't stem from pre-order 66 Jedi knowledge. This means who ever taught him (Most likely Vader) did so with a clearer outline than the other Inquisitors.
If he is starkiller, this is the first time I've seen someone make the name connection. Personal theory as far as the force during combat part, he could just be trying to avoid showing Ahsoka something anakin may have taught her and could be testing the water of her skills. Very Dukoo/Sideous kind of mentality if that makes sense.
But dooku and sidious both enjoy the one upping and I don't see that with Marrok. Ahsoka isn't even giving it her all and I think Marrok is dishing out 80%
I actually theorized that Marrok never had a title, that he was a trainee of the Inquisitorious when it was disbanded and afterwards was either reassigned to some other aspect of the Imperial government to continue serving in a different capacity, or had to flee amidst a miniaturized ‘Second Purge’ aimed at the Inquisitors. This lack of being made to specialize in the Inquisitor style of aggression and reliance on intimidation could have allowed for him to develop his own skills free of the deliberately limiting training style that was imposed by Vader and Palps. Expand that to over a decade of surviving in a galaxy hostile to him on almost all sides and it’s no surprise that Marrok would be a cut above the rest.
I don’t think you know how powerful star killer he could have killed Asoka easily he literally can disintegrate people if that was starkiller ashoka would be dead D E A D💀
Paul Darnell (credits) voiced Marrok in EP3 of Ahsoka, so chances for all theories (Ezra, Starkiller) are kinda reduced, but it could be situation like with "Darth Vader" (David Prowse/Hayden Christensen played, James Earl Jones voiced), but with Sam Witwer theory - I think he would voice him even in "helmet" situation and just change voice.. which didn't happen i guess...
I don't think Marrock is Ezra or Starkiller. I'm of the mind that he was an Inquisitor that came across Baylen and Baylen was able to turn him to his side. He was likely trained by Baylen and that's why he would fight better than your average Inquisitor. He seems to be 3rd in command in their circle, taking orders from Shin. The Mask makes him more mysterious than he actually is in my opinion, so far at least.

One from fear and abuse, one from love and genuine care. MAYBE there will be an arc for Ahsoka to attempt to console Marrok over this contrasted upbringing. Marrok actually references many things. First the name Marrok is name of the animal that appears in the star wars. In Arthurian legend Marrok is obscure knight turned into wolf or werewolf by a witch. And in Ahsoka his name therefore has huge asociation with wolves. Think about it Baylan Skoll as in Skoll the child Fenrir, Shin Hati the same child of Fenrir again and they chase the sun and moon and both of them seek something. Also you could define Ahsoka as lone wolf as she wanders the galaxy as seen in Ahsoka series. And finally Marrok sounds similar to Marek as in Galen Marek. It is all intentional. As for his power. The fact that he survived for so long he would have time to train far more than any other inquisitor thus even if he was at first no more powerul than any other inquisitor at first the fact that he survived and had chance to improve he would ofcourse become more powerful. Regardless the fact that he was able to hold his ground against Ahsoka is telling how strong and smart he is.

They would introduce him much more directly, given the impact that introduction would have on the slowly expanding new-canon.

Sam Witwer is definitely playing that character behind the mask, whether it's Starkiller or not. Remember, in the game, Starkiller brings down a Star Destroyer, and defeats Vader, so IDK if they wanna be bringing that exact character in, it'd destroy everything they are trying to create currently. An apprentice of Vader could definitely be an interesting and dramatic story point.
I actually think that he's not gonna be someone we know, and that Dave Filoni is actually just writing another complex new character who can delve into later in the story. He might be loosely based on starkiller, but I think the reason he's in the show because of Thrawn's eventual defeat in the long run. If I'm not mistaken, in the original Thrawn story, Thrawn loses the war against the new republic because he's killed by his assasin, Rukh. Given that Rukh was already introduced and killed in Rebels season 4, Marrok might be his replacement and Thrawn might eventually be killed by him in one of the new movies made by Dave Filoni. It could be that Ashoka focuses more on humanizing and fleshing out Baylan and Shin, because they might die in the Ahsoka show and Marrok can still be fleshed out in Filoni's future project. After all, Filoni isn't dumb enough to just create a cool new character and then to just have him fight ahsoka a couple times and die, and every identity theory I've heard so far doesn't really sound like it could work. Ezra is in another galaxy and couldn't become an inquisitor in time because he went there with Thrawn 1 year BBY. It's not gonna be Barriss because Marrok's been called him by multiple characters. And starkiller or a clone of someone would just be messy.
I like this theory, and I honestly thought the same thing. But I disagree in that I do think this exact story can work using Starkiller. I think there needs to be a strong dark side Force user during this time period in order to help explain how the First Order rose to power so quickly. It would make sense that Starkiller would be in the shadows until the fall of the Empire, being that he was Vader's *secret* apprentice. He could have joined forces with Baylan, Shin, and Morgan simply out of necessity, or because he needed to use them in order to get to Thrawn (or carry out a side mission the others aren't aware of). If it is Starkiller, he could work alongside Thrawn as his right hand to restore power to the Imperials and begin its organization into the First Order. And when he becomes hungry for power, he could join the quest to kill Thrawn. And then basically double-cross that side again, and then Luke/Ahsoka ultimately ends up killing him. But by this point, the First Order can already have some degree of power. And perhaps they even name "Starkiller Base" after, well, Starkiller. Just a thought. I like your thoughts on this a lot... I just think it could work with Starkiller.
It will be cool if that first duel was him testing her, and purposely scaling low with styles she is familiar with. Imagin their next battle goes similarly, then suddenly he separates the double blade into 2 switching to the style we see more of with starkiller. He barely used the force except dor that last move, but that couldve been him holding back to leave her with a false sense of security.
I was thinking Marrok might be Ezra-and it would be cool if he were the canon version of Starkiller, but I think he’s a Pau’an. His mask has some indication of their species’ head features. Ridges & looks like it fits their ear cups(?) I think he’s a new character-he may have been the inquisitor tracking down Baylan and decided to join him once the Empire fell.
Not going to say Marrok is Starkiller or a version of him but I do see alot of similarities like when we finally here him speak he says as you wish like he knew Vader on a more personal level then the other inquisitors
It's kind of funny that marrok showed up out of no where and is already being called one of if not the best inquisitor of all time and the best dualist in there history.
It's kinda hilarious that his two best forms are ones that Ahsoka can hard counter 😂 imagine training for years in those forms and then someone comes along that has extensive experience in bodying people who use those forms
for the intro of the show right after Lucasfilm shows its shows helmets and gives a flash of red or blue to represent good vs evil marrok has a blue flash. is he a good guy?
Just putting this out there now so I can claim it later. That helmet is shapped a little funny at the top. It would be good if say, you had horns under it. Like a Zabrak. Like a Zabrak from dathomir. The same place that Morgan Elsbeth is from.
At this point let him be a new character, continue building the lore with fresh faces to join the already existing ones. There so much potential with the new characters introduced between some of the shows it would be exciting to see where they came from and where they can go. Plus if we ever get a Galen Marek in canon version let him be as true to the original as he can be.
It could be maybe a 50 /50 chance it's luke or Anakin's clones on this mysterious Inquisitor. As a shock Factor not only for ahsoka. But for us as fans of the star wars universe
Petro - not any amazing character that takes away from the main story but just a converted fallen Padawan from Order 66 like most of the other Inquisitors. But still has a connection to Ashoka and Huyang for the reveal.
When Ahsoka and Marrok were fighting, I was noticing how similar the lightsaber fight was when Ahsoka fought Maul all those years ago. Just on a different planet and different lightsabers
It makes sense that they would recreate star killers character because when you think about it, starkiller was found as a child, which that's what inquisit us are full sensitive children so Vader could have been the one to actually discover marook so to Vader he was more special than the other ones
Marrok could become one of the most powerful people in star wars he knows of the darkside he is trained by the fallen jedis and also maybe learn magic from the night sister if he wish i could se that he betrayed the dark Jedi and become a dark lord him self but how knows is cool to see where it is going with serie :)
After reading some of the books like Rise of the Red Blade, I get the impression that the number each Inquisitor has doesn't really imply power or rank. It seems that it is based on the order they joined the Inquistorius
I'm leaning toward the "Marrok is Ezra" side. Apart from the wolf references etc, in episode 3 there was a scene that showed Marrok's focus move from the battle at hand and look directly at the Purgill. This scene did not seem to be important to the battle, but could be an important foreshadowing due to Ezra's connection with the Purgill. Though the scene may also be a misdirection of sorts as well, meant only to alude to some Marrok/Ezra connection. I seriously doubt it's Starkiller. Anyone who played thru those games knows Starkiller was insanely powerful and Marrok is definitely NOT on that level. Ahsoka is certainly a powerful force user, and I love her to death but I just do not see her being able to defeat Starkiller. That being said, I'm unsure of the time period in which these episodes occur in relation to the Starkiller storyline, so there may be some additional storyline explaining the seemingly weak version of Starkiller. My guess is that Morgan Elsbeth used Nightsister magic to locate Ezra and turn Ezra, in order to harness the powers of the Purgill. Thrawn perhaps gave her the info and did the planning necessary to accomplish this, knowing that Ezra was both alive and had the connection to the Purgill necessary to return them both to the main galaxy. It may also be likely that Baylan is aware of Marrok being Ezra and has some plan to use Ezra and Thrawn in his own plans to use the World Between Worlds to his own ends. However with the unfortunate passing of Mr. Stevenson, his stroyline may end before such a plan could come to fruition, or may end in spectacular fashion with the death of the character as well.
Curiously enough, he has the same voice as that one inquisitor in Tales of the Jedi, look it up. That one was voiced by Clancy Brown, but this one has a very Sam W. feel to it...
Ive believed it was ezra for awhile now, and i think its still a likely chance it is him. Im pretty positive Sam Witwer is doing the helmets voicebox. I believe Marrok fights very similar to how Ezra was fighting when he used the sith holocron. Ezra also studied the holocron of Anakin demonstrating form V, also if its ezra itd make sense why he sticks out amongst the inquisitors as he had fought against them for years. Marrok fights a lot like Maul and once again itd make sense as Maul exposed the inquisitors in the finale of season 2, marrok doesn’t seem to try and execute off fear like typical inquisitors but instead planting traps which was the purpose of HK droid in my opinion. Whoever it is his strategy is what the remnants of the empire need.
I was thinking it was Ezra too. He probably rode the pergills back to where they are building the ring , leaving thrawn in deep space. Ezra probably had to use the dark side of the force to be able to survive. Also the way marrok looked at the pergills like he knew what they were
@@madgreek253 i think that ezra is under nightsister magik or something along the lines of mind control because I don’t think that ezra would turn after his sacrifice willingly, i think that purrgil could have brought him back Seatos, the planet that the ring is above. Which maybe Morgan Alsbeth was already on at that point and was able to place him under nightsister magik
Its pietro or petro or however you spell it from the episode of clone wars where ahsoka takes the Padawans to the ice cave for lightsaber crystals. Its him or barriss
My theory is Marrock is actually jar Jar Binks, driven mad by decades of resentment from nobody taking him seriously, being used by everyone, and being blamed every time something goes on and now the galaxy’s in deep doodoo because he’s coming back for revenge against the fans who refused to accept him.
The problem with it being Galen Marek is simply Ahsoka wouldn't really stand much of a chance not to mention it would be really difficult to just kill her off so as much as I want to believe it is Starkiller I have my doubts.
Gonna take a wild guess and say that is actually Ezra made into an Inquisitor. Remember Thrawn Survived and we still don't know if Ezra lived or died. Sith have a habit of changing their names once turned too and I think same for the Inquisitors.
Marrock is by far the most interesting character in the show. And I suspect Dave Filoni designed it that way. If you look at Marrok's armor, you can see its kind of worn and rusted. I believe this is to give the audience a clue that this character has been around for quite awhile. Considering all the buzz surrounding Marrok, I think it is someone we already know and not a brand new character. Possibly a Starkiller clone or even Lu-uke.
I think the bad batch most recent season ending placed too much emphasis on cloning, and that whoever they turn out to be they will be a clone of a force user. Easy way to effectively de-power them (in the instance of a star killer variant), possibly even a clone of ezra, allowing for the clone being used to find the real one. It can also be the continuation of Gideon to line up with season 3. Further research and implemtation of a non force user to be cloned and imbued with the force. Maybe the wedge to have ashoka returning to luke in boba fett and mando season 4 to try and shut it down, with the rest being left to deal with thrawn in another galaxy for the future filoni movie The biggest thing i cant get round is the map to thrawn, even if ezra is under witch control, why would that relate to the ancient map and thrawns location
I hope it’s starkilker under cover He lives He’s infiltrating dark Jedi and Sith working his way up be pretty epic Have him be on mission by Luke He took it easy on her
Vader's Training Doctrine to the Inquisitorius: Peace through superior firepower; you learn it, you practice it, you love it. Inquisitor 1: Can I used my own style Vader: (Slices off Inquisitor 1's appendage) No Inquisitor 2: I killed multiple Jedi using my own style, can I keep it. Vader: Yes Inquisitor 1: WTF, you said I couldn't keep mine. Vader: Other arm or torture or death, your pick. Inquisitor 1: Sighs, other arm.

Yeah it would be messy, but not Kathleen Kennedy level messy.
Ridges & looks like it fits their ear cups(?)
I think he’s a new character-he may have been the inquisitor tracking down Baylan and decided to join him once the Empire fell.
Marek, Marrock very very similar......
I’d say his fighting style is a mix between the grand inquisitor and 8th brother
I think Ezra Bridger is Marrok, thats going to be the big surprise this season.
This didn’t age well, turns out he was never a inquisitors 🤦🏻♂️
Not going to say Marrok is Starkiller or a version of him but I do see alot of similarities like when we finally here him speak he says as you wish like he knew Vader on a more personal level then the other inquisitors
It's kind of funny that marrok showed up out of no where and is already being called one of if not the best inquisitor of all time and the best dualist in there history.
It's kinda hilarious that his two best forms are ones that Ahsoka can hard counter 😂 imagine training for years in those forms and then someone comes along that has extensive experience in bodying people who use those forms
It's starkiller
Dual-wielders man, they’ll get ya
@@Mogolous not really I have went against dual weilders with no weapon or with single blade and defeated them
@@wadereynoldsdeadpool5768 My bad homie, I had no idea you were force sensitive.
@@wadereynoldsdeadpool5768Bro stay of the crack, that stuff makes u believe anything 😂
I think he may be the Engineer named Isaac Clarke from Dead Space
He didn't run away it's was a planned time waster for ashoka.
How was he "out classed" exactly. He would have lost the fight easily if so.... Which he didn't.
Yeah that mfer is Ezra under there with some dark Sidious spell.
for the intro of the show right after Lucasfilm shows its shows helmets and gives a flash of red or blue to represent good vs evil marrok has a blue flash. is he a good guy?
why are these shows so much better than the sequels????? why ???????? I am loving every bit of it so far
Just putting this out there now so I can claim it later. That helmet is shapped a little funny at the top. It would be good if say, you had horns under it. Like a Zabrak. Like a Zabrak from dathomir. The same place that Morgan Elsbeth is from.
In my Opinion he was just gaining time as you can see on his wrist there was a timer, he was playing with Ahsoka
If it was either she would have died.
@@iraynemanno because anakin/ luke has more training and experience most likely
@@legomaniac2530who tf wanting him to be a clone of luke or anakin...? I'm voting Starkiller
Petro - not any amazing character that takes away from the main story but just a converted fallen Padawan from Order 66 like most of the other Inquisitors.
But still has a connection to Ashoka and Huyang for the reveal.
@@5353JumperBarris is the only one who fits that, only her or Ezra would have a big impact on her
What about Starkiller's armor? Is it the same as Marrok's?
It looks really similar to me
its definitely similar, but not quite the same once you look at the helmets side by side.
Starkiller armor was seen in Andor
@@nathanchun4880 where? I don’t remember
@@MrStealYourGirl_ thanks
When Ahsoka and Marrok were fighting, I was noticing how similar the lightsaber fight was when Ahsoka fought Maul all those years ago. Just on a different planet and different lightsabers
He is sam witwer that's why
It makes sense that they would recreate star killers character because when you think about it, starkiller was found as a child, which that's what inquisit us are full sensitive children so Vader could have been the one to actually discover marook so to Vader he was more special than the other ones
And basically the game could be Canon right only at the first mission. So Vader finds him on kashik and that's it
And then the rest of the game was you reimagined for Canon
Annndddd…. dead😅 that de-escalated quickly. Lol
I think marrok is vader secret apprentice as he has his own personal name.
That aged bad...
I think it’s Barris Offee
Thank you for this excellent video. Very interesting and informative.
Don’t get your hopes up it’s Disney people. They are going to kill him and either not tell us who is was or make him just a inquisitor just that!
suddenly i realized just how many cuts the new productions make...
your compilation videos need re uploaded with this level of volume
Imagine if Marrok was Jar jar
I like his fighting style. As long as he doesn't use his lightsaber as a helicopter he is the best inquisitior in my book.
Everyone thinks ezra is morrok but I don’t think so because ezra wasn’t as slender as Morrok and he’s taller than Ezra
Well that went pear shaped fast.
I feel like he might be a clone of someone and not a true original inquisitor.
Its pietro or petro or however you spell it from the episode of clone wars where ahsoka takes the Padawans to the ice cave for lightsaber crystals. Its him or barriss
My theory is Marrock is actually jar Jar Binks, driven mad by decades of resentment from nobody taking him seriously, being used by everyone, and being blamed every time something goes on and now the galaxy’s in deep doodoo because he’s coming back for revenge against the fans who refused to accept him.
imagine they confirm it's him by him putting his force lightning on his Saber like from the games ( it wouldn't happen but it would still be sick )
The problem with it being Galen Marek is simply Ahsoka wouldn't really stand much of a chance not to mention it would be really difficult to just kill her off so as much as I want to believe it is Starkiller I have my doubts.
WELL THIS BLEW UP QUICK!
He's cool because he reminds me of tron from tron legacy otherwise known as rinzler
Ok Burning Question in my mind at this point. Is he the first brother? ( P. # 2 ) of said question. Could he be Starkiller, A.K.A. Galen Marek?
I’m convinced he isn’t an inquisitor. I think he was just given one of those lightsabers.
damn all these youtubers with their theories must be feeling dumb rn
I'll give reeva credit where it's due, she was willing to face vader herself. Not very smart but at least she had the guts
Ezra does love his helmets
If we see him use the reverse grip for even 1 second than it’s confirmed.
Andddd now he's a dead nobody and this show is still subversive garbage and not star wars at all.
Lololol this aged well😂 Marrok is just Marrok
He's very agile like Eight brother. Could be the next terrelian jango jumper. Like female terrelian in C.W. S2 that stole Ahsoka's lightsaber.
If marrok is starkiller does that make the force unleashed canon?
Whoever he is, he's cool
I think the bad batch most recent season ending placed too much emphasis on cloning, and that whoever they turn out to be they will be a clone of a force user. Easy way to effectively de-power them (in the instance of a star killer variant), possibly even a clone of ezra, allowing for the clone being used to find the real one. It can also be the continuation of Gideon to line up with season 3. Further research and implemtation of a non force user to be cloned and imbued with the force.
Maybe the wedge to have ashoka returning to luke in boba fett and mando season 4 to try and shut it down, with the rest being left to deal with thrawn in another galaxy for the future filoni movie
The biggest thing i cant get round is the map to thrawn, even if ezra is under witch control, why would that relate to the ancient map and thrawns location
I hope it’s starkilker under cover
He lives
He’s infiltrating dark Jedi and Sith working his way up be pretty epic
Have him be on mission by Luke
He took it easy on her
I swear if we see Marrok using force lighting with his saber strikes I’ll fully believe that would be knock off Starkiller
Vader's Training Doctrine to the Inquisitorius: Peace through superior firepower; you learn it, you practice it, you love it.
Inquisitor 1: Can I used my own style
Vader: (Slices off Inquisitor 1's appendage) No
Inquisitor 2: I killed multiple Jedi using my own style, can I keep it.
Vader: Yes
Inquisitor 1: WTF, you said I couldn't keep mine.
Vader: Other arm or torture or death, your pick.
Inquisitor 1: Sighs, other arm.
Marrok could be a clone of Ezra Bridger. This would give a nod to both Ezra and the Starkiller story at the same time.
