Abeloth would make for a next level threat the likes of which we haven't seen before so she should definitely be saved for a series of movies, if this is indeed the way the saga is headed. Whatever dark power awaits, I do feel like it should be a setup to something far greater down the line, for now Thrawn and his Nightsisters should be enough of a threat for the culmination of the Mandoverse.
I agree! The series could be made to be the start of an overarching Abeloth-centric storyline that gets fleshed out over the next number of years that culminates in a cinematic trilogy where she finally officially appears in - like how MCU built-up towards Thanos throughout the 2010s! But they should drop hints and Easter Eggs here and there in the films and series' that come out prior to that inevitable Abeloth cinematic trilogy! 👍 And when they finally unveil Abeloth, she should be portrayed by Eva Green! She just seems so damn perfect for the role! I think she will own it the way RDJ owned Tony Stark in the MCU, and easily make the character instantly iconic! 😊
The Night sisters worship Abeloth. That's who all the statues on Dathomir were supposed to be, and whom Mother Talzins voice was supposed to be after the birth of a daughter, Kycina Mother to Maul Ventress Savage and Feral... also Abeloth savaged a huge part of the Galaxy and whole systems vanished of I remember
People have noticed Zeffo writing on the great mothers temple. It translates to Kujat’s reign, Fallen Order fans will remember we were at Kujat’s tomb on Dathomir. The Zeffo supposedly disappeared into the unknown regions. Also thanks to the Andor show, we know that the Rakata did in fact exist. It’s possible that this power that Baylan is sensing might also be on of those 2 species, the Zeffo were strong in the force and so were the Rakata.
@@99Ronnie-Darko they definitely were. Some of there technology is still more advanced than modern Star Wars tech. Especially their greatest achievement the Star Forge.
Another thing that struck me was the mention that the Dathomiri "once had a great kingdom" on Peridea, but clearly something has almost wiped them out. Looking at the ruins we see in the episode, it's clearly been over a long period of time, which would also line up with Abeloth being imprisoned there for centuries. Perhaps the she was weak when first sent there, weak enough that the Great Mothers were able to hold her back but as she slowly regained strength, she was able to start wreaking havoc.
I really hope they don’t bust out abeloth yet. She’s waaaaaay too powerful for anyone in the current canon. It’s the same with the Vong. They were written as the perfect enemies for the Jedi order because they were invisible to the Force. So many Jedi died. And it was shocking because that hadn’t happened in any of the preceding books. They were written to pose a huge challenge to a Master Luke Skywalker who had reached impossible levels of power. And after beating the Vong the only challenge that made sense for the final enemy of Luke was a Force God. Using the Vong or abeloth at this point would be absolutely stupid. There is no one who could handle them at this point.
@@CC-2224. the current time period of Ashoka is 9-11 years ABY. In legends, Grandmaster Luke Skywalker defeats Abeloth in 44 ABY. This was the height of his power. He would not have the experience or knowledge necessary to defeat her until then.

But cosmic level being's are a way's off one would think, why bring them in when you have soooo much content to draw on that can build up to being's like abaloth. @@adamnunan6105 the hell you're talking about vitiate was a sith Lord not even a sith Lord but he was the emperor of the sith empire he possessed valkorion and used him as it's host
I could see it that maybe if Luke is involved during the fight, perhaps a force wound on him might had weaken him during the actual sequels explaining his actions in some way he was in a state where maybe he was battling a dark force corruption from Abeloth's fight and it made it easier for Palpatine to get into his head with the visions. Could be I think. Maybe Abeloth once defeated puts a pieace of herself on his mortal body so him leaving his mortal body behind allowed him to return in his old more confident and positive self like in the end of the movie. Just thinking.
I'm not certain if they will call it Abeloth or use her Mortis backstory, but it does feel like something of her sort is luring in Baylan - an immensely powerful Force entity of some sort. Perhaps it'll be like a dark Bendu, or maybe something even less anthropomorphized.
I mean Shin would be the likely vessel wouldn’t she? But would Baylan really sacrifice her like that? Shin seems like his daughter sometimes and that’d be messed up. Then again he does seem like he’s keeping something from her and why she’s clearly having doubts. Idk this still seems too good to be true for Disney

@@donovanmartin7946maybe in the end. I can't imagine Filoni doesn't do this. Remember we always do this little guy at insane moments. Thank you, as you are the first content creator to talk about this that I have seen. So many of the "nerd" star wars channels don't seem to know much of the now legends content. We know they are leaning heavily on legends even if they butcher the content.
If I recall in the EU books, Abeloth was only released her prison when the flow of time in the Force was altered. Perhaps that "event" for the canon Star Wars was Ezra saving Ashoka from Vader in World Between Worlds. It clearly looked like Vader's last attack was going to kill her before Ezra pulled her through. From there, we see Ahsoka's influence surviving that encounter -- everything up until now.
Im surprised that nobody has connected that the father, son and daughter are referred to as "the ones" and anakin the chosen "one". In one scene in ahsoka a bat like creature is seen possibly being the son, maybe it is the son calling out for help because maybe the son is acting alone trying to prevent abeloth from escaping, or perhaps wanting her to escape. And ahsoka being the daughter would also make sense that the force draws her to this other galaxy. I like the theory that it is abeloth or the son calling, but personally id be ok with it being something completely new and fresh to star wars
You’re right, but bringing Thrawn in from legends opens up what I think of as the best parts of the legends book to canon. The yuuzhan bong are all the chiss and Palpatine and Thrawn in particular are all about, tying an extra galactic threat with Abeloth and the mortis story line I think would fix the universe. The closer canon moves to legends the happier I’ll be.
The Son is dead tho so he can't be calling out anything , the only One that is still alive is Anakin who is literally the Father now , so if Abeloth do exist in canon it is her awakening , but if they go with Abeloth story then Luke is a must have to headline the story and I don't think they will make Luke be the main character since it is Disney
@@davidkosiba624 Could it be the son, but it's really Anakin or Abeloth impersonating him? Is it already established canon what happens when a mortis God dies? Could they be trapped somewhere else? Does how they die affect that differently? Like how the daughter is now connected to Ahsoka per her death but didn't the son die not doing that? I know Luke is busy elsewhere with building bots, but id guess he could still multitask a little, how plausible and surprising might it be that it's Luke calling him there for whatever the reason? If Anakin is the father which seems already established and the father being the more power of the ones could he somehow resurrect/free the son hence seeing the bat and Bayan telling Ahsoka that she cannot beat him. So much resurrections on that planet, I wonder if Ahsoka's way home is in resurrecting Purgils somehow who's bones orbit the planet?
I think Thrawn is unaware of Abeloth or whatever entity inhabits the planet, the Night Sisters have been hiding that information and are using Thrawn to escape
Pretty interesting theory. It would be pretty interesting to see them bring this stuff into the live action shows. If they do, I feel like they'll wait to season 2. I'm anticipating that season 1 will end with Thrawn, Elsbeth, and the Sisters escaping to the home galaxy while Ahshoka, Huyang, Sabine, and Ezra get stranded (at least temporarily) with Shin on Peridea. Balen will theoretically be killed off before S2 of course, since the actor died. But yeah, anyhow... it'd be cool. Although I think it would actually be better for them to cover Abeloth as a villain in TV shows rather than movies. They can dedicate way more time to her with a few seasons of a TV show than with a trilogy of movies. But yeah, cool theory. Oh, and not trying to nitpick, but when you described Abeloth as having "indiscriminate height", it sounded kinda weird... "undescribed" would work well instead, meaning that they simply never described how tall she was. "Indiscriminate", on the other hand, means "at random or without careful judgment"... which just doesn't make sense when talking about someone's height. Anyway, great video, I enjoy all these theories and lore.
I’m glad they’re making the force a more mystical being. When it just felt like superpowers I could never understand why there was 2 massive religious like factions constantly at war over it
I’ve always wanted to see Abeloth in Star Wars especially in live action. I too was thinking this as the story in Ashoka continues. I’m trying not to get my hopes up because it’s such a niche part of the lore. The thought is very exciting though.
This is why I love stars wars legends the old comics the games going all the way back, there’s so many characters with so many stories tell and forces of evil that has yet to be seen on the screen
Wow, what a theory! Yes, they would need a certain pair of Force-sensitive twins to help their father in fighting Abeloth in an upcoming movie!!!! And there is an opportunity to introduce Mara Jade into that new set of stories, and it is HER death at the Jedi Academy that sends Luke into his personal exile?!?!
As far as anakin combating abeloth goes, this show technically takes place between episodes 6 and 7, so if the sequels still take place in exactly the same way, then Anakin was unable to combat Sidious when he returned so my thought process would be that by extension he would be unable to fight abeloth either. But then again since she is such a unique force entity Anakin may have a trick up his sleeve that works only on abeloth or something of that nature. But if he truly cannot do anything other than provide guidance on how to stop abeloth I fear she may be too powerful to exist in current cannon as is one of the reasons at least in my opinion that they haven’t brought back Starkiller; he’s known for being incredibly op but that kind of OP is too much for current cannon universe. Either way it’s definitely an interesting theory and I’m excited to see how this all plays out
What the hell are you talking about? Anakin was able to tame the son & daughter far before he even gained control over the light & dark side. Current Anakin is the most powerful.
Man I hope it's my man Palps. He's floating around out there during this time. "Somehow The Emperor has returned again to here too. Somehow" I love it!
I keep saying it's Abeloth or the canon version! It's the only thing that makes sense. Besides, Thrawn wants out quickly. Abeloth is coming, and I think she's being set up for a future villain.
@@aceneto9386I believe she'll appear as the main villain in Rey's future movie. Possibly even finally confirming Anakin as the Father. Ahsoka - Daughter Luke - Son Anakin - Father That could end the Mortis story perfectly.

I'm really excited to see how this all plays out, in Episode 7 and 8, as well as beyond that with the New Republic Era Cross Over Film. Theory: Baylan's lightsaber hilt houses an ancient evil spirit. That's why it was not in the temple's hilt archives. That's why they inserted that piece of dialogue, giving mystery, but then also the foreshadowing of Baylan Skoll destroying 'the map' which was early on viewed as 'the key' with his lightsaber -- the lightsaber being Baylan's key to his goals. A hint by destroying one key with another. **However, if not an evil spirit it could also have a holocron with instructions in it. Perhaps a hilt that was top secret and hidden in a vault until the destruction of the Jedi Temple(s).
Baylan wouldn’t be knowingly seeking out Abeloth. If he’s anything he’s cautious and I would say a chaotic good character. There’s definitely SOMETHING supernatural about Peridea, but Abeloth is probably too deep of a cut unless they’re planning on doing a few more seasons of Ahsoka.
i agree. possibly some kind of scaled down version of her (legends force powers are insanely overpowered compaired to canon) or a new threat making indirect references as estereggs.
I've also heard that it could be The Son. When Shin looks out at the planet you can see a bat-like creature that flies way that could be the son and his bat form.
I doubt Abeloth would appear in Canon. She's way too disturbing for Disney as Disney isn't known for Eldritch Horror elements. If anything they might add a character similar to Abeloth just like how Shin Hati is similar to Lana Beniko.
I've been praying for a Death Troopers live action movie for years but I know its a pipe dream; just like the rest of my EU fan dreams. Disney wouldn't touch Death Troopers or the lore behind Old Republic dark side forces with a 100ft pole.
The problem with everything happening right now with Ashoka, Thrawn, and even Abeloth is that everything that is currently happening is so insignificant that none of it was even hinted at in the sequel trilogy. Of course, none of this was even considered at the time when those films were made, but they’re still canon, and unless Disney plans on retconning them out of existence, nothing that happens in the current stories matters one little bit. Thanks KK!
same can be said about the Prequels not acknowledging events in Clone Wars show, or OT trilogy not acknowledging anything in the Rebels show. In fact, you can skip literally every single star wars tv show to date and the films make sense without them.
I hope it’s Abeloth because it would end up creating a war on two fronts, the Imperial Remnants lead by Thrawn and Abeloth who’s out for revenge against the Jedi and pure chaos, which will be awesome to witness in Star Wars live action but I have an theory, what if she’s trapped in the world between worlds and the only way to get in to free her is through a gateway on Peridia because the Mortis gods made it so no one could free, and why the purgill go there to die, but also that’s could be why Anakin is there, the one is the guardian on Abeloth’s Prison and Baylan frees her but has to fight Anakin who’s trying to stop him and Shin Awesome Video 😁
Could be an undertone to Ezra's comments about how he can't wait to go home. Perhaps she's been haunting his dreams, and he's starting to lose the game...
I'm loving how much this show is exploring, everyone's been joking about every other scence being on Tatooine and now they're like, cool here's a witch waste land home world, with an asteroid belt that's actually a space whale graveyard
We are just speculating but if Abeloth angle turns out to be true that would be sick. Anakin is not yet understood. If he takes the place of the father that would be sick too but him being some kind of guardian in the WbW would be awesome too. I’m stoked for the next two episodes

Most plausible theory so far, Abeloth started to make it's way in my thoughts since Ep.5, last episode just consolidated those thoughts. Happy to see a larger and credible channel explore this venue!
I hope it’s Abeloth calling Baylan. I hope she created the Yuzhan Vong in that galaxy and they are the ones threatening Thrawn. He’s definitely worried about something.
I’m not too worried about that. Thrawn is mortal and powerless, not every threat can be outsmarted.
The fact that the Sisters are scared… THAT concerns me lol.
while it’s CONCEIVABLE that filoni brings in abeloth, I think the vong are just too brutal for disney to greenlight

So basically Avengers: Star Wars 😂
And when they finally unveil Abeloth, she should be portrayed by Eva Green!
She turned coruscant into hell
Actually, The Night Sisters worshipped The Son and The Daughter Mortis Gods...

Luke is able to defeat abaloth
@@CC-2224. the current time period of Ashoka is 9-11 years ABY.

@@Egregore-33 but it's Disney star wars so they can make Luke defeat her as you said that's in LEGENDS not in CANON so Luke can be the power level Disney wants in CANON and make him defeat her earlier than that again in CANON

But cosmic level being's are a way's off one would think, why bring them in when you have soooo much content to draw on that can build up to being's like abaloth.
Personally i hope its vitiate, reborn into a new galaxy calling out wanting to go home...........hes definatly powerful enough to do that.........and wouodnt care if its jedi or sith that hears him, plus he was more a force entity then a man, drawing on both light and dark like he said " there is no light or dark side, there is only the force.........and I AM IT'S MASTER!!".
After seeing the ending with hints and that shot of that particular distance i genuinely believe that you're right about it being Abeloth.
I'm not certain if they will call it Abeloth or use her Mortis backstory, but it does feel like something of her sort is luring in Baylan - an immensely powerful Force entity of some sort. Perhaps it'll be like a dark Bendu, or maybe something even less anthropomorphized.
This is possibly the most intriguing theory yet! I seriously hope they do it!
If it's true I would assume Abeloth is looking for a vessel because that's what she usually does inhabits somebody then wreaks destruction.

Thank you, as you are the first content creator to talk about this that I have seen. So many of the "nerd" star wars channels don't seem to know much of the now legends content. We know they are leaning heavily on legends even if they butcher the content.
If Disney introduces Abeloth to Star Wars I will apologize to them.
disney could honestly redeem themselves if they bring luke vs abeloth to the big screen
That moment in Canon is when the Ones are killed on Mortis.
Star Wars Theory predicted such, kinda.
You are the one that was, you are the one that is, and you are the one that will be. Wait, wrong franchise.😂
Great theory, thanks for the background info!
10:00 its so small but it sells the fight so damn well, the shoulder thrust, like he shrugging off the mist like its cover.
I HOPE Abeloth gets revealed or at least name dropped in Ahsoka soon
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS

The end of Rebels seems to show that was the whales, but they would be more a neutral party.
What if, that many arms of cold embrace to come, would be Abeloth.

That would be cool if it was abeloth. But I don't think it is.

Baylan wouldn’t be knowingly seeking out Abeloth. If he’s anything he’s cautious and I would say a chaotic good character. There’s definitely SOMETHING supernatural about Peridea, but Abeloth is probably too deep of a cut unless they’re planning on doing a few more seasons of Ahsoka.

this may very well be true. the final episode of ahsoka ends with baylan standing on a giant mountain carved into the shape of the father and son
Thanks KK!

Shit take there dude that's like saying the original trilogy and prequels never mentioned Ashoka therefore her story doesn't matter one bit
same can be said about the Prequels not acknowledging events in Clone Wars show, or OT trilogy not acknowledging anything in the Rebels show. In fact, you can skip literally every single star wars tv show to date and the films make sense without them.
Can anyone tell me the name of the background music in the first half of the video? I cant find it and its driving me crazy.

If it's Abeloth.....man I hope they don't f**k it up
I hope it’s Abeloth because it would end up creating a war on two fronts, the Imperial Remnants lead by Thrawn and Abeloth who’s out for revenge against the Jedi and pure chaos, which will be awesome to witness in Star Wars live action
but I have an theory, what if she’s trapped in the world between worlds and the only way to get in to free her is through a gateway on Peridia because the Mortis gods made it so no one could free, and why the purgill go there to die, but also that’s could be why Anakin is there, the one is the guardian on Abeloth’s Prison and Baylan frees her but has to fight Anakin who’s trying to stop him and Shin

yes, it will be.
We are just speculating but if Abeloth angle turns out to be true that would be sick. Anakin is not yet understood. If he takes the place of the father that would be sick too but him being some kind of guardian in the WbW would be awesome too. I’m stoked for the next two episodes
