Thrawn pretty much said as much in the Zahn trilogy when C'baoth told him that "only fools spoke that way to the Emperor" when Thrawn told him that he had once told the Emperor one of his military plans was flawed and that he needed more time to prepare properly. For those who haven't read them, the Emperor got mad, did it anyways, failed, and never questioned Thrawn's advice again. Thrawn also favored a massive fleet over superweapons in the books, something the mouse pickpocketed for his designs as well.

I’m aware I haven’t read about the Empire of the hand, but with what little information I gather from this video, I can’t tell what modern Thrawn will do as heir to his empire, specially with crashing ideologies with the First order. As this video says, hand empire held respect to adversaries, made connections with distant populations, and kept security in their sectors, so much so that they helped the New republic against a galactic threat. The first order however, is a second empire, that invaded, terrorized people, kidnapped newborns into early indoctrination, destroyed places, and raided citizens to keep them compliant while the Republic did nothing (so much so that a Resistance was formed). This means that after whatever war was made against Thrawn, for the remaining 20 years the republic understood nothing AGAIN and kept rotting or in a state of disarray, while the imperial remnant Thrawn is supposed to lead too rotted into tyranny and followed whatever fanatic lie Snoke told them to rise in command. I don’t even know if a witch zombie army makes sense for the plans a character like Thrawn seems to have
It's interesting that Thrawn was killed by a Noghri named Rukh. He did this after learning that he'd been forced into the service of the Empire, with a lie from Darth Vader. The planet suffered an ecological disaster during the Clone Wars, when a separatist ship crashed on it and burned off most of the plants and animal life. Darth Vader brought what appeared to be help but was secretly poisoning the land to keep it from actually recovering. Keeping their people basically, enslaved to the empire forever. When Thrawn took command of Rukh, he knew all about this, but kept it to himself. Thrawn might have eliminated much of the way the Empire did things but failed to do this for Rukh and lost his life because of it.
He doesn't lol. Episode 7, 8, and 9 are/were a spice dream, a mirage, a nightmare one has during a high fever, nothing more. If Disney had any sense in their heads they'd de-canonize the sequel trilogy and make this type of storyline into a sequel movie trilogy or a Mandalorian style of interconnected series' like Mandalorian season 1, 2 and 3, Book of Boba Fett (even though I wasn't a huge fan of it), and Ahsoka are already. They'd make so much more money that way AND make the fans happy with them again, which would potentially make them even more money if used and listened to correctly.
Thrawn and Ezra were on the same ship when the whales took them away with not knowing anyone out there how would Ezra get away from Thrawn when they got there and survive for what 10 to 15 years by himself
I would think that Thrawn probably wouldn't care about Ezra or what he did after everything. I wouldn't be surprised if he just gave him a shuttle and told him to just go.
If Ezra was captured by Thrawn in the Aftermath of the Whale Migration, and he told Ezra that he was doing something to prevent a race like the Yuzong Von (however you spell it) do you think Ezra could’ve been reasoned with to fight with Thrawn? That would kinda call back to what Ezra’s final message to Sabine said about doing the right thing. Me and a friend of mine. I’ve been saying this for a long time. Most of the current canon material pulls from and tweaks legends material. Yes it’s not the same and in some cases it feels like it is a rushed copy that doesn’t have as much of the same heart in it, but The reason I’m able to reconcile a lot of it is that the legends continuity feels like what would happen in the real world win you have stories that are passed down and retold a lot of the same details happened but they don’t happen in the same way they originally did. It’s actually why for me, the line in the last Jedi is so powerful when Luke is telling Rey that he even believed the legend of Luke Skywalker. Say what you Will about that movie and rise of Skywalker, but it really set the tone for me for what a lot of canon will look like in the sense that there’s gonna be a lot of familiarity, but to get around all of the fans who read all of the legends material they’re going to tweak things and revise them, and make them fit in the story they want to tell. I’m not going to say I like everything they’ve done, but that is how I’ve had to reconcile with not getting to see some of the things that I wanted to see or seeing them radically change aspects that I liked.
The Last Jedi is a decent movie and when viewed individually as a pose to part of that dreadful trilogy it's actually not all that bad tbh. Force Awakens is nostalgia bait and Rise of Skywalker is a Panic Climax, but Last Jedi despite its flaws is actually engaging (at least on first watch).

Unless he gets thrown into the lost galaxy again after this then the empire. Thrawn the first order and the final order all lost and his can’t last long in this version
we will have to wait and see but it would be interesting if it turns out thrawn isn't the main villian of the story, a complex character with layers and also i really enjoyed the parts of the books were he would break down events or information and formulate his plans, i also do hope Captain Pellion shows up in a big way as he was one of the people thrawn was training and working on, you see it through out the books.
The messed up thing is....They actually could have talked to Thrawn. He was getting ready for the real fight. I'm just saying. He has honor. You can speak to folks with honor. Imagine if they talked to him. Thrawn for life ❤️🔥🖤💙💙🇹🇹🫡💯😎
A good summary right up until 8 minutes in. The Hand did NOT destroy Thrawn's clone -- he was (apparently) blown up by Luke and Mara because they had no other way to escape the flooding cloning chamber (but we never did see confirmation that he was killed). Also, the Hand does not have any arrangement with the Jedi whatsoever, and tried to recruit Mara Jade to their cause. Luke and Mara -- not the Jedi as a whole -- chose to keep their knowledge of the Hand to themselves. You guys need to give "Visions of the Future" and "Survivor's Quest" another read.
Well thrawn only used the empire to complete his own goals but because ezra trapped him in a different galaxy hes probably preparing an army because he still wants to sabe his people
It is an interesting critique of the New Republic, as it mirrors our own history. Almost without exception all through human history, each time a former empire was overthrown by a rebellion within, that which replaced it was at least as bad… if not worse. Same game, different uniforms.
Thrawn does have his own Jedi order, and they’re led by Baylon and Shin and I’m pretty sure Dave Filoni is going to base it on the imperial knights force users who used silver light sabers. In the new galaxy
Imagine if the Rebellion saw what the Empire of the Hand was before Thrawn was killed, having Thrawn and the Rebellion leaders work together and create something better than the Republic and Empire combined.
Idk why but I don’t like Thrawns death in legend sounds kinda silly death to a mastermind And not gonna lie I hope Thrawn won’t die anytime soon he’s to epic for Disney just killing off this early. Not gonna lie I kinda hope Ashoka will be bigger then Mandolorian yes Mado is epic and fun but it’s just boring at this point because Disney makes all shows connect with Mando which I don’t like, like in Boba fett they should have left mando out of that series
This is a blend of elements that would make the ideal Thrawn - built on the concept of the original Thrawn from the novels. Sadly, however, the concept laid out in this video is not the Thrawn that exists in Disney's version of the character - which I hate to say is a far lesser character than the original.
What difference does Thrawn's presence really make ? Or any of his henchmen ? They could be the most bad assed villains ever in star wars. That doesn't change the timeline. The imperial remnants were destroyed in the battle of Jakku. Thrawn or no Thrawn....
This sounds amazing, but I don't think we can have nice things. The rebellion is going to be the good guys even though they're incompetent. Our main characters are just going to rebel against the rebellion, and our bad guys are going to be evil for the sake of evil. Canon doesn't know what to do with a correct empire.
This is extremely impressive! Extremely. Empire of the Hand was far better then original Empire. Far better and powerful. Superior in every way. Galaxy would be lucky with him. My theory is that Thrawn was actually making smurf village, and that we should leave him alone unsupervised and in peace
I mean, other than hating the new republic Thrawn sounds pretty alright.
What stinks is it's not going to amount to anything because the sequels have not yet been retconned. We can only hope...
Other Galaxies can open the door for the vong.
It's also written by Disney so every episode the show gets worse and worse
So is Thrawn more like a lawful evil or a chaotic good?
A little bit of both tbh. He isn’t Chaotic Evil or Neutral Evil like most Imperial Leaders are by comparison.
Definitely Lawful Evil to Lawful Good depending on the situation.
Unless he gets thrown into the lost galaxy again after this then the empire. Thrawn the first order and the final order all lost and his can’t last long in this version
The first time the team had
9:36 Except, of course, that the Rebellion was formed almost entirely by high-ranking Republic officials...
I just hope that Thrawn in motion looks better than the preview pic that looks like blue Elon Musk.
Yesss😂😂😂😂
we will have to wait and see but it would be interesting if it turns out thrawn isn't the main villian of the story, a complex character with layers and also i really enjoyed the parts of the books were he would break down events or information and formulate his plans, i also do hope Captain Pellion shows up in a big way as he was one of the people thrawn was training and working on, you see it through out the books.
Imagine thrawn was part of the new republic
I can't wait to see how Disney Star Wars destroys the most competent male in the galaxy.
I swear this dude just makes stuff up as he does
I've always wondered; What would have happened if Thrawns clone was not killed?
The messed up thing is....They actually could have talked to Thrawn. He was getting ready for the real fight. I'm just saying. He has honor. You can speak to folks with honor. Imagine if they talked to him. Thrawn for life ❤️🔥🖤💙💙🇹🇹🫡💯😎
I hope they dont kill Thrawn. He can lose, but i would like to see Thrawn withdraw to the Hand and rule there and permit the expansion of that lore.
This is what the new Triology should be, Heir to the Empire / New Jedi Order, New Republic
Ezra will be the Bruce Lee of star wars
Bruce Lee?
Well thrawn only used the empire to complete his own goals but because ezra trapped him in a different galaxy hes probably preparing an army because he still wants to sabe his people
I wish thrawn was reborn, but clones are simply not a great version of the original, 😢
I think if they had any sense, they’d echo legend’s Thrawn but I have learned to never underestimate Disney’s ability to shit the bed.
Imagine if Thrawn was force sensitive. He would probably be on par with Lord Vitiate.
Thrawn kinda sounds like a good guy
Oddly enough I can actually see myself loyally serving Thrawn in his Empire of the Hand. Despite knowing better.
Imagine if the Rebellion saw what the Empire of the Hand was before Thrawn was killed, having Thrawn and the Rebellion leaders work together and create something better than the Republic and Empire combined.
Idk why but I don’t like Thrawns death in legend sounds kinda silly death to a mastermind
And not gonna lie I hope Thrawn won’t die anytime soon he’s to epic for Disney just killing off this early. Not gonna lie I kinda hope Ashoka will be bigger then Mandolorian yes Mado is epic and fun but it’s just boring at this point because Disney makes all shows connect with Mando which I don’t like, like in Boba fett they should have left mando out of that series
Thrawn refused to waste resources or potential.
Can we please stop calling these Disney fanfics 'Cannon'?
I don’t get why Disney doesn’t like Legends, this if fire
After Ahsoka takes his head, she'll be queen of a new empire. We need a Jedi ruler, she's perfect as a grey.
Depending on the time line, this could be the perfect time to bring Thrawn in with the first order being defeated.
Ahsoka takes place like 15 years before the sequels
I’m now rooting for thrawn the galaxy needs order the new Republic is too incompetent!!
I hope they do this and de-canonize the sequel trilogy.
Is he a Smurf? He needs a white hat
😂😂
So superior to be brought down by a rag tag group of rebels
This is a blend of elements that would make the ideal Thrawn - built on the concept of the original Thrawn from the novels. Sadly, however, the concept laid out in this video is not the Thrawn that exists in Disney's version of the character - which I hate to say is a far lesser character than the original.
What difference does Thrawn's presence really make ? Or any of his henchmen ? They could be the most bad assed villains ever in star wars. That doesn't change the timeline. The imperial remnants were destroyed in the battle of Jakku. Thrawn or no Thrawn....
Yes, Thrawn's empire is so superior to Palatine's that they made a whole sequel trilogy about...oh, wait...
This is why Thrawn is of one of my favourite characters. His intellect and tactical genius is only second to Darth Revans imo.
That was cool but Disney/Lucasfilm is definitely gonna throw all of this out the window to give us the most basic and contrived plot imaginable.
So, "FOR THE EMPIRE!" was to protect the known galaxy from an unknown alien threat? #stormtrooperlivesmatter
This sounds amazing, but I don't think we can have nice things. The rebellion is going to be the good guys even though they're incompetent. Our main characters are just going to rebel against the rebellion, and our bad guys are going to be evil for the sake of evil. Canon doesn't know what to do with a correct empire.
Funny the Empire of the Hand was everything the old one wasn't... Nor was the new Republic lol
I don't put alot of faith in Disney doing Thrawn any justice
Unlike the 2 Sith Lords Palpatine and Vader, Thrawne on the other hand held respect and good care for his subordinates he’s a little bit like Anakin
Mass amedda whas an high ranking alien Imperial to
Will we see the vong finally?!
Honesty the new republic and the empire should just split 50/50. Just two different govt systems coexisting.
This is extremely impressive! Extremely. Empire of the Hand was far better then original Empire. Far better and powerful. Superior in every way. Galaxy would be lucky with him. New Republic is completely incompetent. It will be totally great to see Thrawn in Ahsoka. I like this. I really like this. Great holocron 😊 May the Force be with you too😊
thrawn looks like a disposable blueberry vape pen.
So Thrawn created something better than Palpatine and The New Republic and he's a villain somehow? I'm not buying it.
This would mean the Dark Force is good.
Is generation tech and star wars theory, the same person on both channels 🤔
The only thing that bothers me is why do they make him scruffy looking sloppy unshaved someine of his character would never look like that
Your title grammar is killing me slowly and painfully. Love the content though!
