Yipeeeee................. the series continues! 'Love me PL adhesive long time'. I can only dream of plumb and square walls as my house has very few. If only you had built my house here in AG! 👍
Sweet looking boots Matt ! I know you wear different stuff but us “ Born to be in boots” guys like those Moc Toes Carpenter boots! I wear Whites Perry Premium Moc Toes. Hey I want to apologize for disagreeing on the last video about our trades loosing ppl. Bottom line you’re doing something about it whereas I just complain ! I do think we need to rethink retirement? My grandfather looked at me odd when I said I was retiring at 40? I understand why now in my 60’s ? I am healthy and worked hard to retire ? Got there and well when u work hard it’s real hard to do nothing and the honey do’s ? So in my 50’s I became a finish carpenter, and absolutely enjoy it ! It great to see smart young men like you coming up in the trades! Thk u For everything !
ive never seen someone apply glue in a beam pocket, or in the saddles of hardware. I might see the benefit in a situation where the beam is carrying a load under a floor, but where its just picking up the roof trusses over a patio or alcove... I mean why not, don't think it would hurt. But I do like the approach to cutting in the beam pocket once the walls are framed/sheered and stood, some people end up spending too much time detailing in a channel or special corner for the next guy to come along and build, and 8 times out of 10 the saws all ends up coming out anyway unless the person detailing is the one who's framing that wall. And I vote beam pockets every time over brackets and hardware, so much more skookum as the Canadians say.
Deff taking the extra inch to make things better ! You don’t see that nowdays when house or buildings are built . These guys just go fast as they can an craftsmanship just gets flushed down the drain an we end up with a shitty build nowdays . I mean I get working a lil fast but I’d rather take my time and go the extra mile and end up with sumthing built solid an nice
Hey Matt stumbled onto your site...very impressed with your knowledge and workmanship. I'm doing an add on to a detached garage wanting a cathedral ceiling and a window wall fcing the lake. I'm planning on using LVL and 2x10's as rafters. Have you shared any videos that you would reccomend. Espescially the best connection for the rafters to the LVL. Thanks gonna get back to watching your vids!!
I have been one month sober and want to focus on learning trade. Your content gives me hope. Thank you 🙏

I miss construction so much. But my back does not miss it.
A toolbelt with a wide back support eliminates back pain.
FPV! Felt like I was on the roof too. Good job!

The one tool I want to try is always out of stock. I hope interchange pro makes more of those in the future 🙏
Check out Southern Carlson for Interchange guns.
@lorenrickey5481 do they ship? I went to the website and it said wholesale...
They have over 150 stores. Hopefully there is one in your location. Call the 1-800 number on Monday.
@@lorenrickey5481 thanks for the information 🙏
Those guns are not good. The magazine design is not good it doesn’t let you nail parallel. Doesn’t have the power of a hitachi/metabo.
Hey Matt! Have you encountered the electrical wires on fences that have been installed on various mountains now? Crazy!
Are you back in California
Where did u get the extended speed square from?
