You need to learn the correct way to layout anything. Putting any wood on a center line is not the way to go. Mark 15 1/4 inch with a verticle V and put an x on the right side of the mark.
It’s really smart to build 2 story off grid, I always love that idea , you ll enjoying your upstairs amazing surrounding view , ❤
