@@raavanam6540 Who said Pali did not exist as a common spoken language. Pali is the Maghadi language used in the Magadha Empire. The Buddha presented his Dhamma in Maghadi just as the Hindus presented their Dhamma in Sanskrit. Therefore, you cannot say that Pali or Magadhi was not a common language. The other example is Dravidians are a non-Aryan people. The Sinhalese are descended from the ancient land of Bengal. So the Sinhalese are an Aryan people. Therefore, there is no chance that the Sinhala language will be born from the Tamil language. So your argument just breaks down. Because Sinhala language is Arya language of a part of Indo-Iranian language family. Is is a scientifically proven evidance.

Bro what? There's no such oldest language. And Pali is derived from Vedic Sanskrit.. Sanskrit language has root words for each and every word and pronoun. But these root words are missing in pali. Why? Cuz pali doesn't have root words of it's own when coming to pronounic context. Pali uses Sanskrit's root words meaning pali is derived from Sanskrit and not vice versa.
@@languagelearning5030 what propaganda lol? I can speak pali, latin, greek and some of Sanskrit languages.. 1. Both pali and Sanskrit uses "Aham" for "i". But the root word of "Aham" is "mad" which becomes "mi" in the ending making it "is/are" effect in the last of Sanskrit and pali languages. But this root word is missing in pali. Why? You claimed pali older through your previous alt right? 2. Next, the word for "You" is "Tvam" in Sanskrit and pali, and the root word for it is "Tvad" which is again missing in pali but it is present in Sanskrit.. how? Loool.. Also, Sanskrit's earliest inscription dates back to 1400BCE, mittani inscriptions. Pali is derived from Vedic Sanskrit

Look, this video is great, I respect your greater education on this topic and am grateful for your choosing to apply said education to making this very concise, watchable video. It clarified several things I had either been unsure about, hadn't yet learned, or had forgotten, and generally helped to more clearly contextualize Pali (and thus the Pali canon) in a more cohesive way for me. All this to assure you I'm genuinely not complaining, only amused, when I ask: why wasn't Pali pronunciation used in the narration?? hahahaha I mean, seriously, I don't think it really matters at all, it's just the sheer incongruity of--in this very informative video all about Pali from a channel called "Learn Pali"--the narrator rather pointedly and without reservation mispronouncing every single Pali word in the script hahahahaha
Thank you! I was first introduced to Pali when on vacation in Myanmar and just fell in love with the language spoken and sang by Monks A week after that I found out about the Metta Sutta sung by Imee Ooi during a dinner and have been fascinated (in love) by it ever since.

I studied Sanskrit and Pāli at University for ten years, but that was in the 70's. Scholarship has somewhat changed since then, as your video shows. In my day, one theory was that Buddha, or Siddhārtha Gautama, as a kṣatriya heir to a kingdom, certainly knew Sanskrit and may have delivered some teachings in that language from time to time, but that his own lingua franca could have been Māgadhī. And even in the 1970's, it was being theorized that Pāli and Sanskrit descended from a common ancestor. A couple of points: It will be objectionable to some, myself included, to suggest that the canonical collections in Chinese and Tibetan are "incomplete", compared to those in Pāli. Lastly, the Pāli name Kaccāyana is pronounced "kach-CHA-ya-na". Fwiw, as they say...
P and B sounds often interchange in many indian and south east asian languages. And the holding aa sound with the consonant changes to oh as you travel east across india. Considering this the word pali can be derived from boli which means spoken … so pali bhasha could be boli bhasha which means spoken (form of the) language

But, to stay in righteous practice for our highest evolution. Soon enough the real truth will reveal as earth is moving higher n old matrix is falling.
At 20:15 , there are two popular beliefs for this claim sir. 1. There has been enough substantial evidence found sir indeed it's all mentioned in this video too that pali( form of prakriti) is older than sanskrit. There is no archeological evidence or written literature that proves sanskrit as older than pali but the opposite is true. If pali was driven from sanskrit then it must have had familiarity in terms of words or alphabets with sanskrit. 2. Both languages evolved independently and around same time period. For more information one must follow professor Rajendra prasad singh It is a issue of ongoing debate among historians and language experts.

Sanskrit is actually formal Prakrit, Prakrit older argument is mostly because of all the Stupas and Script discovered but most Linguists believe it's very hard to derive a court language from a vulgar (as in French is vulgar/dirty Latin) common language.
Pali is certainly Ganga Basin's langauge but not from the age of Asoka but from the age of Buddha. First of all, the age of Buddha must be settled. Being a student of anthropology I support Prof. Robin Coningham. Buddha must be existing between 8th and 6th century BCE, or even before but certainly not after Cyrus's occupation of Gandhar. Buddha must be very ancient and nearly forgotten that even King Asoka and King Menandar did not know well Buddha's history. And those who think Pali as an artificial language are certainly out of mind. I put Panini only in the 2nd century BCE. Any way, PIE is exhaustive but interesting but I believe in Out of India Theory. I mean after Out of Africa, and some groups settled in India after 70k, and then again among some of them migrated to Europe after LGM.
Thailand has been the hub of Pali study among Buddhist monks ever since the first Thai kingdom Sukhothai. The kings, the constituional monarchy and the main sponsors of Buddhism, have been sponsoring Pali study until now. In those days during the priod of Ratakosin dysnesty (current dysnesty), the kings were present at the Pali examination of Buddhist monks. In current days, if a young novice passes the Pali Grade 9 (highest grade of Pali study) at 20 years of age (meaning he never fails in straight years until he reaches 20 years, the age a man can become a monk under the buddhist monastic rule), the king will sponsor his ordination as a monk. However, although the study is floursihing, it is a written study, meaning that Thai buddhist monks literally learn the Pali striptures (monstly commentaries), without hearing the actual sound of Pali, or even without speaking. It is therefore not unusual that a number of buddhist monks here in Thailand are well versed in Pali composition. The two Buddhist universities - Maha Makut and Maha Chula - provide undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees in Pali. Various secular univerisities also provide Pali as selective for students.

If we approach things scientifically, the Vedic Sanskrit is a myth. PIE came to this land around 1500 BC? or after the IVC. These Baltic languages got mixed with Tamil and created Pali, Magathi etc., which was spoken during the great saint Buddha and then Emperor Ashoka. We have an inscription proof of Tamil from 400 BC with unique Tamil alphabets and phonetic like ‘Nedunchezhiyan’ but even today these word can not be pronounced correctly in Sanskrit or English ( not an issue as uniqueness of language)and Ashoka’s inscriptions borrowed 75% of the scripts from the old Tamil in order to adopt by then-new language Pali’s dialects ( Tamil + Lithuanian)

The languages Sanskrit and Pali are not being spoken nowadays by a large number of population. Why did the languages faded away? But it is very much interesting to see that it never (completely) invade the southern part of the India. You people forget to know about the very ancient Tamil language, which is being spoken now by more than 10 crore people across the world. Tamil is an official language of the sovereign nations of Sri Lanka and Singapore, the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, and the Union Territory of Puducherry. Tamil was the first to be classified as a classical language of India and is one of the longest-surviving classical languages in the world. It is also spoken by the Tamil diaspora found in many countries, including Malaysia, Myanmar, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia and Mauritius. Tamil is also natively spoken by Sri Lankan Moors. We had
Sanskrit naturally evolved into the modern languages of the Northern half of India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Divehi (Maldives), and Sinhala. This is the same thing that happened to Latin in Europe- it evolved into all of the modern Romance languages, from Portuguese to Romanian. The Buddha’s language, Magadhi Prakrit/Pali, evolved into the eastern Indian languages we have today. The Bihari languages- Bhojpuri, Maithili, and Magahi- are the closest living languages to the Buddha’s tongue. Bengali, Assamese, Odia, and Bishnupriya Manipuri are more distant relatives. When Buddhism was popular in Tamil Agam (before it merged with Hinduism during the Bhakti movement in 1500’s), Pali was used as the language of religious ceremonies and religious discourse. Sanskrit and Tamil too, but Pali was the primarily language of Tamil Buddhism. The same situation occurred in Kerala which is why many Prakrit words entered Malayalam before the arrival of Namboodiris and Manipravalam. Every language naturally undergoes evolution. Phonologies are simplified, grammar becomes less complex, new vocabulary is absorbed, etc. Even Tamil has evolved over time. Centamil of the Sangam era is very different from Koduntamil of today. So much so that Tamil is classified as a diglossic language today- meaning that the written form is very different to the spoken form. This doesn’t make Tamil any less of a classical language. It simply illustrates that all languages undergo change over time. It’s a beautiful characteristic of the Tamil language ❤
Because of the effects of kaliyuga, which degrade all the good qualities of the human beings. In Satya yuga there is one world king, and everyone uses the universal language of Sanskrit, and human lifespan in the thousands of years, human height is 30+ ft tall, and humans have perfect memory angst intellect, and full religiosity, and down thru treta yuga, to dvapara yuga, to our current Kali yuga religiosity goes to 3/4, 2/4, to 1/4 and down to absolute zero towards the end of Kali yuga which we are approaching. And lifespan drops to 100 years, height to 6 ft, and memory of a goldfish.. so as human society degrades, people separate and form their own languages, using slang, mispronunciations, etc etc down through the ashes, that's how we get all these languages that descend from the original language of civilized peoples the aryans, which is Sanskrit. If what we can do now is to try to understand the meaning of the words, is the pali canon still the closest thing we can get to actual words of the Buddha?
I don't think I'm qualified to answer this really. The Pali canon is the best thing we have. How close it is to his actual words I think we will never know absolutely. But of course, there is always value in preserving it for future generations.

I recommend to look back Paleo - Hebrew scripts , then we can rearrange the family of languages . As Paleo Hebrew is the source for Koine Greek, then to Roman . So Greco Roman language group came out of paleo Hebrew along with Egyptian glyph, Sanskrit is REFINED LITURGICAL language like Pali took loan from Prakrit, Avestan of Zorosterism . Sanskrit got no script unlike Hebrew, Tamil and Elam. It obtained script only from Deva Nagari came from Nagari, which evolved from Gupta script . So by this we could understand western scholars solely depended upon North Indian Upper caste community to learn , where Max Muller done big error .

We could assume it is the language of the Pala country or empire in India back then. Some says the language the Lord Buddha used is Magadhi - another Prakrit. This debate of Pali vs Magadhi has been going on for a while now.
It's not Patalī, as you have written @14:20, but rather Pāṭali (trumpet-flower). The city Pāṭaliputra was likely named after the trumpet-flowers that grew in the area. In fact it was also known as Kusumapura/Puṣpapura (city of flowers). Even today, Patna is the capital of the state of Bihar. Some of the remains of the 80 pillared hall where the Third Buddhist council allegedly took place can still be viewed at Kumhrar in Patna.
In any case, the reason why the spelling matters is because it is actually the dental "t" which is often elided in Prakrits (ka-ga-ca-ja-ta-da-pa-ya-vāṃ prāyo lopaḥ), and not the retroflex "ṭ." So the theory that Pāli comes from the name of the city Pāṭaliputra is therefore less probable.

Yes there are very many striking commonalities between Slavic and Indic languages stemming from Indo-European linguistic inheritance, but the Polish name Magda is not of Indo-European origin. It ultimately comes from Hebrew "migdal", which means tower. Any similarity with Indic "Magadha" is likely a complete coincidence.
*Whatever, Prakritam & Pali are much older than sanskrit. That's the important point here. In fact, sanskrit was formed from a mixture of Prakritam, Persian, Pali & Tamil.*
@@okay9906 yes absolutely right pali language is much older than sanskrit language buddha taught all his dhamma in pali parikrit only. Today all languages of different states in india just like marathi telgu Malayalam Kannada bengali odissi etc is derived from pali. Sanskrit is also made from pali with some parasi and other mixtures of languages.
And also it was clearly mentioned by magstanees, Humanity sang, fahiyan, Ittsing. From which all ur modern English Latin are derived. And all the above have clearly mentioned that at that time Pali was the language of people of jamboo dweep. Now india pak Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

Seems to be a common need for religion and the priest class to use some form of ecclesiastical language for religious ritual and dogma. Maybe its a way to detach religious texts from the constantly evolving colloquial language of every day life. They must have understood this from the beginning; hence ecclesiastical latin, hebrew and even some sects of protestant christianity insisting on king james english. It also serves to maintain the power of the priest class over the common people.

Loool, Sanskrit's earliest inscriptions are from mittani inscriptions, 1400BCE. go and give this Gyaan to your papa Science Journey. And also, pali doesn't have root words of it's own. It uses Sanskrit's root words. Why? Can you give me a scientific debunk for it? Pali is indeed derived from Sanskrit
Sanskrit was developed way later after Buddha from Paali Prakrit Language, which was written in Dhamma Lipi / Dhamma Script. Hence it would be wrong to decode Paali Prakrit with Sanskrit. People now a days call that script Bramhi Lipi. However Bramhi is not the original name as mentioned in Ashoka's Stone encriptions.
@@gaya-shanickie1785 Yes. You will find the proof in thier names itself, Prakrit means Natural, and Sanskrit means Rectified . The rectification is always created later.

Thanks for this video -- it was a lot of fun! Regarding the question of significant migrations into India, the debate has largely been settled thanks to the recent research of geneticists on ancient DNA (as you touched on) combined with existing archaeology and linguistics. These findings were recently published in the book "Early Indians" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_Indians) and it's well worth a read if you want to know the final answers to these questions. :) All the best!
The idea of Indian culture being shaped by migrations INTO India runs into some opposition in the present political environment. So I steered clear of it in the vid, as it was not central to my subject; but I list some info on Archaeogenetics down in the Description section.

Before we speak sinhala , our ancestors use the language called "elu". It is the base of modern sinhala. Sanskrit & pali mixed with elu, and then sinhala was born. Tamil did not help to feed sinhala.
Sinhala is a branch language of indo-iranian language family. Tamil is a branch of dravidian family. So tamil did not help to birth of sinhala.

Next,Pali and prakrit were only used in Buddhism related inscriptions and never as a public language. And all the prakrit inscriptions has tamil names and unique characteristics belong to tamil and tamil brahmi .it is because they were written by Tamils - Prof.Paranavidana.Sinhala is a product of Pali and prakrit which got mixed with tamil speakers in srilanka who followed buddhism.(There were no archeological evidence for the existence of any other lamguage based national ethnicity untill 5th century other than Tamils.Thankyou.

Thank you! I was first introduced to Pali when on vacation in Myanmar and just fell in love with the language spoken and sang by Monks
A week after that I found out about the Metta Sutta sung by Imee Ooi during a dinner and have been fascinated (in love) by it ever since.
The oldest surviving Buddhist texts in Pali language come from the relic chamber of a Buddhist stupa at Sriketra, Burma ( Pyu Burmese Theravada Buddhism kingdom of 2nd century BC to 9th century AD.#Unesco heritage site) They consist of a twenty leaf manuscript of solid gold and a large glided reliquary of silver.A new and exhaustive palaeographic study of these inscriptions shows that they dated fr 5th century AD. Unlike all the other Buddhist societies of Southeast Asia , evidences of Mahayana contacts in Pyu Burmese cities is SCANT. It is clear that Pyu Burmese kingdoms were in contact with several Indian kingdoms in the south, east as well as north but stood in tutelary relationships to none. From the earliest evidence Pyu Buddhist writing, art architecture shows processes of adaptation at work that laid the foundation of distinctive Burmese traditions of Buddhism within the greater Buddhist euumene ( crd to ASajji)
And Pyu Burmese Theravada Buddhism is the earliest in all Southeast Asia.
Thank you for so generously sharing this knowledge. I'm certain many will find this information extremely interesting.

This is interesting history. Thank you 👍
P and B sounds often interchange in many indian and south east asian languages. And the holding aa sound with the consonant changes to oh as you travel east across india. Considering this the word pali can be derived from boli which means spoken … so pali bhasha could be boli bhasha which means spoken (form of the) language

For more information one must follow professor Rajendra prasad singh
It is a issue of ongoing debate among historians and language experts.
pali is just a stammered version of sanskrit just like dutch is of deutsch(german)

Thank you so much . It means that lord buddha and mahaveer spoke this language in and around 5 th century Bc . Small doubt, it is said that sanskrit contains many words of pali/prakrti but pali does not contain any words of Sanskrit. Can we consider pali group of languages as pure the oldest in context of indian region. Sanskrit seems to be oldest in context of European group of language. When we say indo- European language there are 2 parts one is indian and another is European, that what actually is the Indian language represent in indo European language.
Sanskrit is an indo european language which was modified by european invaders and they modified it with pali language thats moulding or modification word is known as sanskrit... I'm Buddhist in India 🇮🇳 Maharashtra

Pyu kingdoms in burma is the earliest Theravada Buddhism kingdom in all Southeast Asia ( unesco heritage. Site) . Comtemporary Tang dynasty ( china) records says Pyu Burmese kingdom is a theravada Buddhism kingdoms with hundreds monastery. Stupa , Tripitaka library are still now seen in Sriketra ( pyay city) burma.
And Bagan theravada Buddhism is the continuation of Pyu Theravada Buddhism .
Sukhothai was just born in 13th century :
Thai has to ask Burmese monks to help translate Pali cannon to Thai up to now because Thai don’t have complete Tripitaka like Burmese. lanna was under Burmese rule for 200 years and there are several Burmese Buddhists monasteries in lanna . One of the Buddhist monks was asked by Thailand in 1962 to teach Pali and to translate Burmese Pali canon into Thai . After Burmese abbot was expired , Thai dint allow another Burmese abbot to stay as head in Burmese monasteries in changmei. Instead Thai national take abbot in Burmese monastery . Thai changed many Burmese monasteries into Thai names and want to hide Burmese influence over Thai . Now Thai hide the history of how they got Pali and Theravada buddism from burma.
As i though, Pali is the language that Buddha used to speak, teach and scripted by Buddhist monks and might start before 500-600 Year B.C . The language is still spoken today and some got evoluted with nowadays language along with a lot of country like in Sri Lanka, small part of india , Nepal, Myanmar, And Cambodia and slightly sounds different base by region.

Practritic means natural language not a copy of other languages
Sorry I didn't mean to give the impression Prākrit meant "a copy". Monier-Williams defines it as: "original, natural, normal". In terms of language, Pāṇini used the term to identify the spoken languages of common people as opposed to the refined Saṃskṛta which became the preeminent Indian language of learning and literature.
Yes you are right Prakrit means natural language which is comes from nature means it is the original text.

Hari bol ☺️🕉️

If the pali canon text is not the same language spoke by the Buddha, is there value learning & preserving it word by word?
If what we can do now is to try to understand the meaning of the words, is the pali canon still the closest thing we can get to actual words of the Buddha?
I don't think I'm qualified to answer this really.
The Pali canon is the best thing we have. How close it is to his actual words I think we will never know absolutely. But of course, there is always value in preserving it for future generations.
Great 👍👍👍
Omg, buddhas spoke mahadhi which had sound signals , sri lankamonks wrote it as pela or continuous line of text, the letters are hela similar to sinhala in sri Lanka, hence origin of pali,
"Pali has its major roots in Prakrit". Prakrit is an independent language from Sanskrit. Jaina canons written both in Prakrit & Sanskrit. But largely in Prakrit. I recommend to look back Paleo - Hebrew scripts , then we can rearrange the family of languages . As Paleo Hebrew is the source for Koine Greek, then to Roman . So Greco Roman language group came out of paleo Hebrew along with Egyptian glyph,
Sanskrit is REFINED LITURGICAL language like Pali took loan from Prakrit, Avestan of Zorosterism .
Interesting, thank you.
The same upper cast north Indian faced genocides by mughals and later britishers
The ancient Tamil text Tirukkural has many Pali words but not Sanskrit. Hence Pali must be older than Sanskrit?
Scripts are not the same thing as languages. You cannot determine linguistic families using scripts, only script families.

Thank you for the correction. I don't know where I got that spelling from, but on searching now I see you are correct.

How mahayana is written in Pali ?
Mahāyāna, though I'm not sure that the word exists in the early texts...
@@LearnPali But can we write Mahayana in Pali, Can you please provide me the original wordings. The inscriptions which are in the pillar of the Lumbini, I need those words. I have searched for original wording, but content on google is too vague.
I don't think any of the Asoka pillar inscriptions are actually in Pāli. Probably an early Prakrit. And the inscription at Lumbini is in the in Brahmi script... According to Wikipedia the inscription does not contain the word mahayana... Here's a photo: img.atlasobscura.com/FuaZzUP_mfT_1yBcPAdavhU5q4xH0tKk07VgOkN7PjM/rt:fit/w:1200/q:81/sm:1/scp:1/ar:1/aHR0cHM6Ly9hdGxh/cy1kZXYuczMuYW1h/em9uYXdzLmNvbS91/cGxvYWRzL3BsYWNl/X2ltYWdlcy83Y2Q1/OTc2Zi1mNjg4LTRh/NWMtOTk5MC1hMGM1/Zjc4NDg5NGMzZjg3/NjNmNDY2ODE4MWU1/MGNfSU1HXzMyOTUu/SlBH.jpg
And this is a website about the grammar of Pāli... In romanised script... If it's the Brahmi script you are interested in I suggest you ask someone with expertise in the Brahmi script...
Can anyone show me how the word Buddha written in Pali language?
I'm from Burma and my name also comes from a Pali word.
The earliest known Pali texts ( Theravada Buddhism); texts fragments from the Tripitaka in Pali , written in Pyu Burmese script , on gold plates which were excavated at Maugan, Burma Pyu kingdom 5th century AD ( British library)
You have not mentioned the area india south, Ay land and their language
My sir name is pali palyal ....there somthig to do rnd on that
Theres a person still lives now who interprets and understand Ancient Pali .He is Ken Wheeler. Hes doing this for 20 or more years now.
Cool stuff, a lot of Polish words have some root words that sound like it, even have names like magda and many others
Yes there are very many striking commonalities between Slavic and Indic languages stemming from Indo-European linguistic inheritance, but the Polish name Magda is not of Indo-European origin. It ultimately comes from Hebrew "migdal", which means tower. Any similarity with Indic "Magadha" is likely a complete coincidence.
this is really strange...,In khmer"Pali" (we pronounce pailay)mean "text "mostly used for monk when they prays and "bhasa" also mean language...
malay indonesia for 2 is dua or prefix form dwi. very near to sanskrit
This is great
*Whatever, Prakritam & Pali are much older than sanskrit. That's the important point here. In fact, sanskrit was formed from a mixture of Prakritam, Persian, Pali & Tamil.*
Most fakest comment ever lol
Try hard
sanskrit never even existed during Ashoka's period !
pali is just a stammered version of sanskrit just like dutch is of deutsch(german)
@@okay9906 dalits never existed before british rule
@@okay9906 yes absolutely right pali language is much older than sanskrit language buddha taught all his dhamma in pali parikrit only. Today all languages of different states in india just like marathi telgu Malayalam Kannada bengali odissi etc is derived from pali. Sanskrit is also made from pali with some parasi and other mixtures of languages.
Is it right that there are no swear words in Pali? This suggests it it a composite language and not a spoken language.
I have no idea... Good point though.
No vedic literature can be written without some words like re, aksh, tar they were not available in other language then nagre
Pali means ' Sadiment ' of river. Meaning language of Lower India / newly formed land.
Great work much appreciated
And also it was clearly mentioned by magstanees, Humanity sang, fahiyan, Ittsing. From which all ur modern English Latin are derived. And all the above have clearly mentioned that at that time Pali was the language of people of jamboo dweep. Now india pak Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Great job. 👍👏 Very objective, well-researched and appropriately illustrated. However your pronunciation of Kaccāyana is incorrect and Saddanīti is wrongly spelt.
Thanks. Yes, my pronunciation, I know, is terrible. Unfortunately, RUclips doesn't allow editing of videos once they have been published...
@@LearnPali So happy I discovered your videos. Great way to learn from a humble teacher with lovely illustrations. Thoroughly enjoying the explanations. They enrich my understanding of the Buddha's words. Thank you!!!

You are welcome! Glad it was helpful.
From emperor ashok to smud Gupta(samdurgupta),has written his addicts in Pali language.ashok and many other king called itdhmma lipi.sanskirt can be written in nagre alphabets only.it came into existence in 9th century.therefore all sanskirt language written text was written when paper were invented.and they were implanted in the name of some unknowns author of past era.no cross verification can be done .
Science journey student?
ever heard of palm leaves manuscripts??
I agreed that prakit n pali came before sanskrit
@@gaya-shanickie1785 Yes. You will find the proof in thier names itself, Prakrit means Natural, and Sanskrit means Rectified . The rectification is always created later.
@@zourabh i find the astronesian languages are similar to prakit. But only few islanders that were influenced by recent sanskrit are Malaysia. :)
All the best!
The idea of Indian culture being shaped by migrations INTO India runs into some opposition in the present political environment. So I steered clear of it in the vid, as it was not central to my subject; but I list some info on Archaeogenetics down in the Description section.
but why are we taking the meanings from sanskrit language? pali is much older than sanskrit
Sankirt is not old than 700 ad
Nice joke😂🤣
Pali lecture for every one.
You are wrong, pali is older than sanskrit .....sanskrit is modern language
Same like your English lol
pali is just a stammered version of sanskrit just like dutch is of deutsch(german)
This is why pali uses Sanskrit's root words and not vice versa. Right?
@@amulya_asmi go and first find the literal meaning Sanskrit.....
