The sticker wasn't to stop the battery cover falling off as such, it was to stop babies munching on batteries. Babies loved chewing on batteries in the 80s. 🙂 Was a silly idea though as you only got 2 stickers and you changed ya batteries way more than that. I loved this game it required brains. Great little puzzler.
Haha, I can see that. If there's danger out there, babies will find a way to get into it I suppose. This game is super cool, and I love how different it is from other games! As a puzzle lover, it's definitely one of my favorite Game & Watches! Thank you for watching and commenting. :)
childhood game, my favourite was of course game A and the puzzles were amazing. If you play game A for too long, it freezes after sometime because it gets hot. But this was by far my favourite nintendo game in the late 80's
My big sister got this game for her birthday and I remember her and me and my mom playing it 😁 This is so cool, as soon as I see the level my brain goes back in time and I actually remember how to solve them. One of my favorite levels is one where you have to start pushing the right wall. If you do it correctly you create like a corridor through the whole room. Also I thought Jack looked so cool when I was a kid 😆
That's awesome! It sounds like a really wonderful memory. Bomb Sweeper is an amazing game, and has great design in terms of gameplay and graphics! Thank you very much for watching. :)
Yes the music notes brought back so many good memories,I played this game for ages when I borrowed it from my classmate in high school,I was 14 in 87,loved everything about this game......... Thanks for sharing.......
My mate had one in high school,I used to borrow it at various times,I absolutely loved it,the quality, the gameplay, would love to buy one but the price is around £130 ,brought back some great memories, thank you
This is probably one of the best Game & Watch games. Still a lot of fun to play to this day. I think it could easily be made into a phone game or something. I remember starting up my collection back in mid 2000, I got Super Mario Bros first, and then Bombsweeper second, after playing it on Game & Watch Gallery 4.
It really is a fantastic game! It sounds like we both began collecting around the same time. Those sure were great days for collecting! Thank you very much for watching. Please consider checking out some of my other videos as well. :)
@@TheGameDisplay Yeah, I played a lot of the Game & Watch Gallery games, and bought the Nintendo Mini classics in stores as a kid, so there was a time I wanted to get some legit G&W units. I remember asking my mom if she could find an affordable ok condition Super Mario Bros for christmas, and she did, and that started my collection. got 16 so far, including the new 35th anniversary Mario one. I'll check out more of your vids though for sure!
Wow, actual puzzle-solving and you can manipulate the environment. That's pretty advanced and creative for a Game & Watch game. Plus, again, the characters presented are actual characters with detail. Like many, I've never seen this one before, and I don't think it was ever featured in one of the Game & Watch Gallery collections, other than the Museum mode in G&WG4, so this is great!
Thanks for watching! I'm so glad that people are enjoying being introduced to Game & Watches they never knew existed. I always felt that just seeing a game in the Museum mode of Game & Watch Gallery never really did them justice. This one in particular I think needs to be seen to be believed! :)
The general reaction seems to be that this game isn't very well heard of, but those who have found it through this video think it looks fun! I'm glad that my reviews were able to to share this awesome game with the world. :)
Not to be confused with Minesweeper, but all jokes aside, this is really cool, I have never seen something with only a d-pad. Probably the one of the more interesting Game and Watch, that doesn't really rely on reflexes and quick thinking but mostly about a puzzle solving aspect that doesn't appear on most Game and Watches
Haha, the name sometimes trips me up too, as I always want to say Minesweeper. :P I definitely do love the many ways in which this Game & Watch differs from others. Even after making 10s of Game & Watches, Nintendo was still coming up with interesting and unique ideas! Thanks for watching and commenting. :)
For my game design class, I made a small bomb sweeper Clone, and I put your logo as a secret in the game. If you want to play it, I can put the link here
@@TheGameDisplay Cool, here's the link flowlab.io/game/view/1545517 The assignment was to make a movie tie-in game, and I remembered I wanted to make a reimagining/remake of a Game and Watch game, so I did just that, because I watched your Game and Watch videos, and I put your logo in the game, as an easter egg. Sadly, Flowlab is limited when you don't pay for the full version, but it was free and web-based, so the game can be beaten in one minute.
I loved this as a kid
I had a double screen Game and watch in the late 80's. Bomb Sweeper. It was a lot of fun.

@@TheGameDisplay It said it on the sticker sheet it was specifically to prevent babies getting to the batteries, which is wild to see hah!

It freezes from getting hot? Wow. Bomb Sweeper is great, and I'm glad that you enjoyed it as well! Thank you so much for checking out the video! :)
I got this on my 6th birthday in 1991 and had it for a good 8 years 😊
Yeah, I would be all over this game. I love puzzle games.
My sister had Donkey Kong II and I had Bomb Sweeper. I was happy with mine for sure! Hourrrrs spent on it!

I got this for xmas in 1990 when I was 8 lol . I remember being annoyed it had only a dpad and no button for my right thumb lol.
Very cool puzzle game for a game & watch. I also really like the design and artwork on this one too. I never heard of this game but seems fun.

I really miss it
What went into the leftmost gap of the styrofoam? There’s an indent there perhaps for a single battery? That would be my guess.
Yes, it would likely be for batteries I believe. Thank you for watching! :)
you could fit like a dozen batteries in there
It's a fun and. addictive
You should do a live stream
What would you like to see me livestream?
Yes i whould
