Read a book called "KISS AND SELL". Many concerts and locations are not entirely/exclusively up to KISS. The promoters and KISSs' booking agents have to come to an agreement on many details before a concert is signed. I'm sure ultimately KISS decides which offers to accept but they first have to be offered a show before they can "accept". This is my take based on the experience of the book author I mentioned.
Anyway,KISS is an event, make sacrifices, and GO! No matter what!

@riverlioness thats because you have 800 thousand watts of sound going into a tiny mic in a camera. if you watch clips from people standing further back its a little more clearer.

they don't need to retire. look at the tour they just did. it's their most successful European tour they ever done. they're doing better in success than they did with Ace and Peter lately. you have preferences but the majority of the KISS Army seems happy like me. i'm putting myself in their perspective and it's very clear on what and why they're doing what they're doing
I kinda agree with you freejustice1 but its still Kiss. Kiss is one of the greatest bands in the world with or without Peter and Ace.

i was at this concert...people said it was shit, but i think it was one of the best. they played all there great classics including shock me sung by thommy, which didnt suck. i think it was great....and he didnt really replace ace with that song, because ace's main part of the song was the smoking guitar thing at the end...thommy didnt do that.

i think you're right. Ace and Peter are just not into it anymore. i saw them in 98 and Ace and Peter were just go with the flow and the motions. Tommy and Eric are amazing.

Ok, I know I'm goin against the grain here but this ain't the best! Stanleys voice is got great and it's the same FX as always, in the same places. It's PREDICTABLE. Still, it's actually better than I was expecting!! And still a great song. The video tho is fantastic!! Thanks!!!
Kiss is a band that should not do outdoor daylight shows like this. So much of their act is the pyrotechnics and the lighting. They sound just as good outside, but the show's not the same.

Hey genius...you're not much of a kiss fan are you? If you were, you'd know that Ace hasn't been in the band since the end of the Farewell tour in 2000. Peter Criss was out after the tour with Aerosmith in 2003.

I don't think it's fair to criticize sound quality when the capture source is a nothing more than the built-in microphone of a cell phone or cheap handheld videocam. Those things are wholly incapable of capturing frequencies below 100hz, so I'm sure this concert sounded very different in person.
You must realize KISS is not KISs without Paul Stanley. I do wish ace and Peter would come back also, but i doubt it.

Only if Tommy and Eric would get different Facepaint so dumbasses wouldnt get them mixed up with Ace and Peter. I mean everyone's saying how good this new KISS stuff is, and the matter of face is that EVERYONE wants Peter and Ace back in. But the reality is that they will never be again, so we all just have to accept that fact.

Well, Ace is not so talented guitar player like Jimmy Page or someone, but he's very good. But why Ace is best guitarist ever? Answer is: Ace got STYLE! That's why Ace is best ever!
Tommy does not sound good. Why didn't KISS have Bruce Kulick play w/ them.The Gene Paul Bruce Eric combo sounded amazing on KISSOLOGY3. Bruce really fits in there very well.

WHY?!? What have you got against Singer? He's a brilliant drummer. Better than Criss was (okay maybe not as good as Carr, but he's not too far off!)
I agree with you about him being a loser though. He's probably also lying about his friends, wife and job. I wouldn't hire, shag or procreate with such a narrow-minded twat.
