There is a live version of Take Me on You Wanted the Best, You Got the Best LP. I have also heard that there was a live wersion of Do You Love Me? on a few Alive II LP's.

I agree guys about changing up the set. My opinion is, they're playing their most popular songs that most people want to hear. I bet they'll change/rotate the set as the tour progresses. Remember, we're die hards and will always want more variety.....

Although, I agree with you. Without Ace KISS wouldn't of been what they are you need to accept the fact he's gone and I don't know why you can't just love KISS no matter what. I am a huge DEF LEPPARD fan and just because Steve Clark died in 1991 and people say they lost their hard rock roots after that, I'm still a fan of them...a huge one at that!

@mgirardi1 it's called Chorus a vocal effects to cover up his aging voice he ante got any more face it, they have out preformed the limits of their aging voices, if you listen they are all using vocal effect to sound younger, Ozzy even uses it real heavy for the past 15 years, ad a little reverb ad a little chorus effect Bingo vocals sound 20 years younger, I mix a lot I recognized vocal effect when I hear them

@lem1968a1 no man,they're real 4/12 speaker cabinets,just unplugged,the sound is run through amps back stage,miced and ran through offstage and onstage monitors (some of which are the "fake" speakers on stage)
Kiss in their 60's singing has been songs of the 70's popularity greatly diminished, they rocked in their days, their music old and out dated, and hanging in there til their bitter end, Mystery of the band is long sense gone, they never should have unmasked, they lost what made them so great "Mystery"
I agree, swisher. I wish they'd change the setlist, and the stage. That bothers me more than the make-up non-issue. Even so, this lineup sounds really tight.
hate to tell ya man..Eric unfortunately passed away in 91. Bruce has his own solo career. Eric Singer(drummer) and Tommy Thayer(guitarist) wear the makeup because the fans like seeing the band in that makeup.

@brulldozer no doubt man. I saw this line up in 2004, and they kicked ass! I'm sorry but in my opinion this is the best line up ever. Eric is 5 times the drummer that Peter is, and Ace was actually kinda sloppy in his later years. More power to you guys!!! Just makes me wonder though. When Gene and Paul decide to hang up the heels, will there still be a KISS? haha lets hope not cause they're the ones that can't be replaced or replicated!!
As anyone can tell by my screen name Ace is god to me!! With that said, Tommy is a great guitarist technically speaking. I realize Ace is not that technical. It is his feel though that makes him great. Tommy lacks feel. In my opinion Bruce Kulick is the best all around KISS has had. He had great technique, and had a good feel. However, Ace has been, is, and always will be my favorite.
@KEMTEN Gibson Les Paul my friend. Not sure what amp, but I'm pretty sure they don't use too many effects. By the way, to the guy that said Tommy wasn't a good replacement? Who would you have had replace Frehley? Truth be told, Ace's whole deal was his playing. He can't sing for shit. and his persona isn't that hard to replicate. Tommy does fine in my opinion. HUGE step up from Black and Blue in the 80's
just because he's doing the lead vocal doesn't mean the camera should focus on him all the time. when the solo is being played, i like to see the lead guitarist... not gene doing poses. it's just that i've noticed that in kiss videos in general, the camera men seem to have a hard-on for gene simmons. he might be the most visually striking member, but he's not a great musician, so i like to see the other band members too.
in ur opinion :) but u really should listen both line ups, no whatever u like ^^ (it s ridiculus anyway to discuss about which "kiss" were better than the other "kiss". kiss are kiss with whatever combination..and that is probably the only band that hadnt to loose anything by replacements. i could say that replacements were better or at least normal :))

BUT the drummer and guitar player, even in the original band, were employees of Gene and Paul and it was always set up that way and Ace and Peter made less money albeit tons of cash. Anyone who played in the band could wear the makeup the bosses said, regardless of who it was. How f#$ked up was that? Well that's how it was, gotta give it up for them overall, I'd put the original 4 in the rock hall. BTW Ace was by FAR the best musician of them.

Lets face it. KISS is a corporation. Gene and Paul are the CEO's. They have fired Ace and Peter for scabs and mainly to save money. And us KISS fans that have been there from the beginning have all been laid off. And our comments and bitching doesnt matter. Just like in the corporate world, the CEO's are too high up the ladder and they cant hear what is important anymore. We helped them to do what they want to do no matter what.
So, at this juncture, is this the complete, real KISS lineup? I can't tell...I've been drinking a little. But, that looks like Ace. I don't keep up with KISS as much as I should. So don't take offense, guys.
I get so tired of the "Ace/Tommy, Peter/Eric" crap. I've been a KISS fan most of my life, I love all incarnations of the band. We are lucky they are still making music. Gene and Paul tried very hard to deal with Ace and Peter's personalities, it just didn't work. Not saying they are saints, but Gene and Paul have a right to keep the band going. Eric Singer has been a part of the band for a long time now. Tommy, just give the guy a break! He's doing what any of us would do if given the chance.
drummerdw5 look up what a rock and roll drummer is. Its not always John Bonham. It can also be Ringo Starr, Charlie Watts. Bun E. Carlos. Just because Pete never did triplets and quads doesnt make him a non rock n roll drummer. And this KISS music era doesnt require it. He cant play Pete's "simple" licks. He doesnt do the old Cooper tunes well either.

I don't mind Tommy, but the more I listen the more I realise that the feeling just isn't the same. Tommy can't replicate the vibrato Ace uses.
