Me too. My father had been a KISS fan since he started listening around '77. He took me to see them when I was like two years old. I have been six or seven times since then, and the best concerts were always the ones with Ace. So because of Ace, i picked up a guitar about eight years ago.

I travelled down to Hammersmith from Yorkshire to see this, spent the night in kings cross station freezing waiting for my train Ace was superb as was John Norum great gig great memories
Rock and Roll in your face. Ace's tone, style was the edge, that was Original KISS. I'm 50 now, I think Alive II side 4 was the last of that original sound, the one that brought them all their deserved attention. .

In My Opinion, the Current Kiss without Ace and Peter is a joke. They need to hang their coats up and bow out gracefully while they still can!

They should call it quits, but why would they when they still command huge audiences? BTW I got Double Platinum and thought it was a rip off just like the "Originals".

Double Platinum would have been better if they didn't edit songs like only a quiet intro to Rock Bottom and not the main song, ending Black Diamond with basically looping the intro, or leaving out the skidding truck at the end of Detroit Rock City.
Brilliant! I've always liked this song, IMHO the best of the studio's bunch recorded for Alive II. The original has those intriguing guitar effects - flanging, wah wah - but this live version is really good!
I saw Ace (Frehley's Comet) perform at a small bar called the Cubby Bear in Chicago 1992. He blew my hair back when he played Strange Ways from the Kiss Hotter than Hell album. Gladwyne Music Publishing Corp.was co publisher of that song. No other Kiss songs were played, well let me re-phrase that. He played New York Groove but that was from his solo album. (not Kiss in my book) Before he played New York Groove he bragged about how his album made the most money. poking at KissesJewish members
He's using a whammy bar in this, Thats rare because he only tried it for a short time and found that it was ruining his vibrato technique so he went back to using his Les Paul without one. Great video thanks.
Just got back from seeing Ace at the Canopy Club in Champaign, IL (10-9-09) Un F ING believeable. KISS without ACE is not KISS. It's definetly there loss.

Eric Carr was the last member of Kiss to earn a actual share in the band. Its 50/50 Paul and Gene now since they got Peter Criss and Ace to sign their rights over after the official "reunion"...they were just contract musicians from there on out
