I had to turn my phone sideways to find out lol when I have my phone normal upright it’s in stereo, and when I turn it sideways for full screen it only plays out the the left. I wonder why some videos do that?
Now thats the Ace that made me want a les paul, saw a couple of vids previously that dont show Ace at his best, saw the reunion tour and Ace didnt seem to be having a good day,but when he's on he's the man, always keep a copy of Alive in my car,and waiting for that album that Ace has yet to give us,Rock On Rock Soldiers!
I feel sorry for the younger generation who only knows KISS in its current form. I've seen them three times. With three guitarists. The '96 reunion show was the last one I saw and it was the best by far. Felt like going back in time.
that's why i said i feel sorry for this generation Paul n gene are trying to rewrite history they want you to believe this current group are the originals i even hear now P n G will replace themselves and keep the money machine rolling Kiss is a marketing franchise not a band anymore
You do realize that Paul and Gene were successful longer without Ace, right? You also realize that Kiss without Ace was either as successful or more successful? You realize that Ace's biggest hit was a cover? Nothing against Ace, but reality is reality.
Frank, why is there always somebody who says something like “Kiss has sold more records”. Of course they have. They’ve been using the brand Ace helped them build in the 70’s, all the way down to the makeup and costume, guitar and stage theatrics. Ace just has himself. But let’s be fair-go listen to what counts-THE MUSIC-Ace is winning. That’s why people can’t stand Paul and Gene-EVERYTHING is $ to them. The first thing out of Paul’s mouth is “well have you seen my house?” Hey man, if that’s all that’s important to you there’s a million different ways to make a lot of $, go do one. Don’t pump out shitty music to pad your bank account and then say it’s “for the fans”
Ace Frehley was the first and only guitar hero to me when I started out...saw him and Kiss live in LA in 2000...Frehley really is KISS..no doubt about it
Ace Frehley is a rock & roll space invader who came from distant galaxy to shock me & you while we take a 'rocket ride' ...my favorite guitar player 'Ace rocks' !!!
Rock and Roll in your face. Ace's tone, style was the edge, that was Original KISS. I'm 50 now, I think Alive II side 4 was the last of that original sound, the one that brought them all their deserved attention. .
That ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE SHOULD COVER THAT SONGS NOW, ITS STILL FRESH 31 YEARS LATER. Those four guys must be some of the most under-rated songwriters going around
Me too. My father had been a KISS fan since he started listening around '77. He took me to see them when I was like two years old. I have been six or seven times since then, and the best concerts were always the ones with Ace. So because of Ace, i picked up a guitar about eight years ago.
I saw Ace (Frehley's Comet) perform at a small bar called the Cubby Bear in Chicago 1992. He blew my hair back when he played Strange Ways from the Kiss Hotter than Hell album. Gladwyne Music Publishing Corp.was co publisher of that song. No other Kiss songs were played, well let me re-phrase that. He played New York Groove but that was from his solo album. (not Kiss in my book) Before he played New York Groove he bragged about how his album made the most money. poking at KissesJewish members
Song gives me goosebumps listening to it! I'm 41 and have been listening to Kiss since I was 5 years old. On my 5th Bday in 1978, I got my First Kiss Album...Kiss Double Platinum...that I played on my Fisher Price Record Player. After that I was hooked. In My Opinion, the Current Kiss without Ace and Peter is a joke. They need to hang their coats up and bow out gracefully while they still can!
Got about 5 years on you, but I agree. At 5, I earned enough allowance and Dressed to Kill was my first album-still my favorite. I jumped ship after Dynasty but still listen to the 70s era KISS. They should call it quits, but why would they when they still command huge audiences? BTW I got Double Platinum and thought it was a rip off just like the "Originals".
wildh0rse1 Go figure. At the time, I had the first three and wanted the Originals because it was a "new" KISS release. I was confused and didn't understand marketing at that age. Luckily my older brother clued me in. Double Platinum would have been better if they didn't edit songs like only a quiet intro to Rock Bottom and not the main song, ending Black Diamond with basically looping the intro, or leaving out the skidding truck at the end of Detroit Rock City.
My Ears Love listening to Ace Frehley, singing, & when he playing his guitar. Rock On 4Ever Ace Frehley. Kiss needs Ace Frehley, Ace Frehley Does Not Need Kiss ! ! !
I travelled down to Hammersmith from Yorkshire to see this, spent the night in kings cross station freezing waiting for my train Ace was superb as was John Norum great gig great memories
Just got back from seeing Ace at the Canopy Club in Champaign, IL (10-9-09) Un F ING believeable. KISS without ACE is not KISS. It's definetly there loss.
He's using a whammy bar in this, Thats rare because he only tried it for a short time and found that it was ruining his vibrato technique so he went back to using his Les Paul without one. Great video thanks.
Brilliant! I've always liked this song, IMHO the best of the studio's bunch recorded for Alive II. The original has those intriguing guitar effects - flanging, wah wah - but this live version is really good!
Thanks for posting ! Been a KISS fan since 1977..In 2007 I auditioned to be on Gene's reality show...In late 2009 I saw Gene in Beverly Hills..Who woulda thunk ? :-)
Nobody plays a Les Paul like Ace. Legend.
Quand Ace se croyait Lead guitar et chanteur. Une belle époque. Merci pour le partage de ce concert, c'est un super document !
My left ear loved this...
Heh heh!!
my left year loved this too. my right ear was jealous. 😂
Lol..
I went in the comment section to find these kind of comments and it was the freaking first one!!
I had to turn my phone sideways to find out lol when I have my phone normal upright it’s in stereo, and when I turn it sideways for full screen it only plays out the the left. I wonder why some videos do that?
Ace is Awesome !! 🎸👍
Mr. Ace space Frehley !! Nice video Best year's !!
Ace offering a Rocket Ride, I would take him up on it in a heartbeat!!
Me 2 :)
SixxQueen91 Yes Ma'am!! ;)
Baby's on her knees, Baby want's to please. Sounds like you want a Rocket Ride
Brian Ferrell I want a Rocket Ride, I want a Rocket Ride!
So would I. lol :)
Ace is God. Coolest kiss member in my opinion. His guitar groove is legendary
ACE is still the man! A fan since the very beginning.
Was there 88 Hammy O fans loved it.❤️🇬🇧😊
My first concert was an Ace Frehley concert. It was mind blowing. I was 11. I'm 16 now.

Menudo version. That's awesome.
just noticed the pic your using, funny lol
I bet Creatures Of The Night is Uncle Rico's favorite Kiss album. Because it came out in '82.
ever hear the Phunk Junkeez version of I love it loud? or P Stanley's version of God of Thunder?
that's why i said i feel sorry for this generation Paul n gene are trying to rewrite history they want you to believe this current group are the originals i even hear now P n G will replace themselves and keep the money machine rolling Kiss is a marketing franchise not a band anymore
KISS NEED SPACE MAN, SPACE MAN NO NEED KISS
lol very true
You do realize that Paul and Gene were successful longer without Ace, right? You also realize that Kiss without Ace was either as successful or more successful? You realize that Ace's biggest hit was a cover? Nothing against Ace, but reality is reality.
♠is a good christian, not jew.
@@rocsaltjohn McDonald's is more successful than Longman & Eagle, but no one would ever say that McDonald's is a superior product.
Frank, why is there always somebody who says something like “Kiss has sold more records”. Of course they have. absolutely Agree
Ace was the actual " spark " of the band..
Ace Frehley is a rock & roll space invader who came from distant galaxy to shock me & you while we take a 'rocket ride' ...my favorite guitar player 'Ace rocks' !!!
natural born scorpio- i like your play on words there... but i'll add to that,,,, 'and he did that all with a new york groove'.
Rock and Roll in your face. Ace's tone, style was the edge, that was Original KISS.
I'm 50 now, I think Alive II side 4 was the last of that original sound, the one that brought them all their deserved attention.
.
Most of that guitar on side 4 was Bob kullick except rocket ride I believe
viking90706 I agree with that 100 percent. ACE is KISS
That ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE SHOULD COVER THAT SONGS NOW, ITS STILL FRESH 31 YEARS LATER. Those four guys must be some of the most under-rated songwriters going around
ACE IS THE BEST GUITARIST EVER!!!!!!!!!

Ace is fantastic. Ace brought the love of rock and roll to millions of people. Ace is god. Lance in beautiful Bremerton, Washington

dkyelak
Double Platinum was ridiculous. But, the Originals was how I gpt my copy of Dressed to Kill :-)

One of the best kiss songs ever, so underrated...it was a hit single too off Alive II
He's using a whammy bar in this,
Thats rare because he only tried it for a short time and found that it was ruining his vibrato technique so he went back to using his Les Paul without one.
Great video thanks.

He's amazing!
Ace Rocks!!! This is real music!!!
Brilliant! I've always liked this song, IMHO the best of the studio's bunch recorded for Alive II. The original has those intriguing guitar effects - flanging, wah wah - but this live version is really good!
