- It's unfortunate but many employees have this misconception that HR stands for the company and not for them. While it's true that HR representatives stand as advocates for the companies they work for, we also should position ourselves as advocates for the employees we serve. Here are some tips to handling employee conflicts the right way, so that you're appropriately positioned as an advocate.

Hello ma'am I am an HR fresher and I want to hear from your experience that how to deal strictly with the employees taking a lot of leaves or coming late? How to speak to them? Please help
Hi! Great question. Assuming you have explored their “why” behind their chronic behavior and have done what you deem necessary to support them, or accomodate them… the question becomes how willing are you to hold them accountable for their behavior? Are there rules and expectations that are documented and clear? What’s the consequence of not coming into work on time? Is it about their time or is it about their results? Ask yourself / your company / what matters most here and how willing are we to hold our employees to it?
Don't you think they should be required to make an appointment? That always seems to make things go smoother than just storming to HR whenever they have a tiny conflict. I'm interested to hear your perspective. I agree with most of the video besides that.
Sure! Always more appropriate. Yet as a seasoned HR person there’s always someone shadowing your door or your Teams m or Slack channel who needs you in the moment. Managing those unexpected interruptions is a skill you can foster. Orr maybe it’s an art!? 😆
Yes good point, we use Hello Shift but same thing. Thanks for your reply! 😁
Nice info madam
Unfortunately HR gets the "complainer" fired almost all the time, I like your video I want to hear the other side has to say
HR is not there to help employees. Frankly, they are there to support management and keep costs down. Employee well being is on the bottom of their list if it is even on their list at all. Employees beware.
