I'm sure that there will never be another man that made his audience feel that we are all made the same. He gave us a sense of fun and laughter. Thank you!
Bob Newhart was very much a reactor comedian. By that I mean he reacted to what others did. With his telephone call routines through his genius he managed to do this without the standard straight man. The two skits of his that I remember and still laugh at when I think of them is The Gettysburg Address conversation with Abe Lincoln as he is preparing for the speech and the King Kong skit where it is the first night on the job for the night watchman at the Empire State Building. He will be missed
R.I.P. Bob Newhart, your comedy was always the gold standard! Your legacy will never end!
