    For fans of the show wondering why this episode may look 'odd' there's a few reasons.
    Mary Fran's hair wasn't blonde, Peter Scoleri and Julia Duffy weren't cast yet, and most of all, the first season was shot on videotape while starting with the second season the show was filmed.

    My physics teacher told me if I ever met a person his age or older (considering my name is Larry) to tell them that quote, so I had to look it up and may I say I wish I was old enough to have watched this show during its release. Looks fantastic.

    Would watch as a kid just waiting for these guys, but as I got older, for the female members of the cast also, plus the whole cast was great, and the humor was just so that it wasn't above the heads of younger viewers. I remember that you couldn't go a day to school without hearing someone referred to as or acting as these three!

    I'm ashamed to admit that I forgot about the Bob newhart show until I was talking to my friend the other day and we were talking about my name is Daryl and this is my brother Larry and my other brother Larry and I had to Google it because I couldn't remember which show it came that that came from and oh my gosh I had to watch this episode and then I sent it to my friend but I forgot how hilarious that show was and again it makes me miss the old shows when they were shows,
    bring back hee Haw and leave it to Beaver but maybe not so much The Lawrence welk show but what the heck do it in memory of my grandmother. Thank you so much for posting this video and I went ahead and subscribed to it and when I have time I'll look through the other postings hopefully you have a lot of Bob newhart because honestly I forgot about him and how funny he was I mean he could just do a joke like that with a straight face. I really needed that laugh today because as we all know the world has changed and I have health problems so I turn to humor and comedy to get me through each day so thank you

    Always wondered why a show set in Vermont has the three brothers (Larry specifically) sound like they are from waaaaay south of Vermont.

    • @gz9520
      @gz9520 6 месяцев назад

      You get that sounds in a lot or rule areas.
      You go into northern Wisconsin or Minnesota you would swear you were in the Deep South. Some of the really secluded areas in those states along the Mississippi it gets even worse.

    I never watched this show or heard of it but for some reason the preview of that clip “My names Larry, this is my brother Daryl and this is my other brother Daryl” had stuck in my head since seeing it in TV very young. There’s so much from my childhood that I don’t remember, but if something is done and as innocuous is this does. May be about 15 to 20 times this memory has popped up in my head for the past 30 something years and yesterday was the first time I decided to Google it and it’s so weird seeing something from the past like that and remembering it. Does anyone know what year this was?

    i’m 35 now but throughout most of my school years, especially on the first days of school or in a new class, when they arrived at my name on the attendance sheet, so many of my teachers would recite “this is my brother Daryl & this is my other brother Daryl” and i never knew (nor did i care much) what they were talking about since this show premiered 5 years before i was born. today i finally have some context! now i know what they were talking about all those years. this show looks pretty funny lol

    I lived in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and lots of this stuff is true. Lots of bachelor brothers. Strange thing is that Larry has a Southern accent, not a real Vermont one. People don't realize that Vermont is an Appalachian area.
