Not ready to die by avenged sevenfold. You won't regret it. Awesome transitions and was written in 4 days for the COD black ops zombie map. Hope u give it a listen.
Avenged Sevenfold songs are mostly very different from each other, and singles don't usually express that as well as the deep cuts that wouldn't be played on the radio. Steve Bartek, who composes a lot of Danny Elfman scores for Tim Burton films, is responsible for the orchestral arrangements here. I'm entirely sure of what you're looking for vocally. If you're interested in giving the extra nasally music another shot, A7X did a great song called Strength of the World on their album City of Evil. It's a vaquero revenge story, and very cinematic. If you can adjust to the extra quirky vocals on that, you can adjust to them all. If you want something from this 2007-2010 era that has really clear tone and incredible atmosphere, I highly recommend the songs Crossroads and Save Me. You'll probably grow to really like this band.
I should also tell you about their early years. Their first 2 albums have mostly screamed vocals. From those, Darkness Surrounding and Clairvoyant Disease are great songs that represent the albums well. If you're into metalcore, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen are the albums for you.
why would you recommend strength of the world or save me? they're just4like ALPOH bc they are so different from each section to the next. How bout some shit like Blinded in Chains, Bat country, MIA, Afterlife, UC, SH, C4
What songs have you heard from them before? I think that, vocally, you will like any song from their albums "Self-Titled", "Nightmare" or "Hail To The King". I recommend you: "Buried Alive", "Save me", "Nightmare" or "Shepherd of Fire" for example to start. I think that with these songs you will start to like the band.
My biggest reason why i love Avenged sevenfold more than the other bands is the singer. I'm used to listen to metallica, bullet for my valentine, asking Alexandria, linkin park, dream Theater, system of a down, Slipknot, trivium etc (please suggest me other bands), but no other bands that i mentioned have special voice like M. Shadow. That bands above are my favourite bands tho, but still, m.shadow voice is the best among them. He is so versatile. He sings different every album.
one off.. an amazing off tho but the rev (drummer who passed away since) is the one who composed it as a request from the rest of the band. He decided to compose a zombi love story :D
Little Piece of Heaven is definitely not the song to start off someone’s dive into the band, you gotta build to it. I’d recommend Nightmare, Exist, or The Stage. Definitely The Stage or Exist if you’re coming from a guitarist perspective
Have to say, this is a great song for a reaction video. Not a great re-introduction to the band, but entertaining for us. Thanks. I hope you you do a reaction video to one of their normal songs at some point though.
I personally believe "Buried Alive" is their best, but opinions vary wildly. As a guitar guy, you may enjoy "Dancing Dead". It has some really fun riffs. "A Little Piece of Heaven" really is a fantastic song musically. It was meant to be a Halloween party song for adults.
I dont know why but I find it funny that you picked a song that has very little guitar in it compared to there other songs. But if your thinking of listening to another one of their songs I'd recommend buried alive, afterlife, or beast and the harlot
It is kinda funny, thinking about it. Haha. I always do first time reactions, so I have no idea what to expect going in. This was just one a friend of mine suggested to me.
The thing is you didn't really react to the actual song, you seemed too invested in the visuals. Sure the music video is weird, but the song is the butter AND bread here... The composition is pure brilliance. The harmonies, the brass and string sections, the playfull keyboard parts, the freaking 8 minute marathon of creativity. Would have been nice if you, by commenting on anything else but the visual story elements, showed that you were actively paying attention to the production, instruments and vocals. It's their Bohemian Rhapsody and with good reason. With 10.000+ views you got extremely few reactions - it really didn't give us anything. You just sat there and were like "that's weird". I can accept you having other views, but judging the music by commenting on the unpleasant cartoon is dull...
This was a one time thing style wise lol. Bit of fun from the band. If you want something a little more metal with a relatively normal complex, check out Save Me, Almost Easy, Afterlife or even Nightmare
You must react to some of their newer stuff like The Stage or Exist. A little piece of heaven was a wild product of their former drummer Jimmy "The Rev" O. Sullivan. May he rest in peace. You can see the making of the song here on youtube.
Buried Alive or The Stage would probably be two of their songs you would like much more! This song is not their standard. If I remember right, for this song they told their drummer to just write something crazy and this weird ass song was the masterpiece he came up with haha. I don’t really listen to this song much, mostly just to get reactions from other people, but you gotta appreciate the song for what it is. Yes it’s very weird but it’s definitely produced, written, and done very well. There’s a live version of it that they NAILED. You can just watch it on your own time if you want. Love or hate the band, they’re talented
What a lot of people don’t get is that she never actually said no. He never gave her the chance listen to the lyrics and you’ll see that he killed her because of the possibility that she would say no.
So you're a metal guitarist, and not a huge fan of these guys? Synester Gates is one of the most insanely talented guitarists on the planet, and so melodic and tasteful
@@MattFarkas fair enough. I don't care for his nasally voice. Though when he belts, he's pretty powerful. I'd suggest buried alive, afterlife, nightmare, and critical acclaim, live in the lbc
It's a one off. I would suggest watching the video where they talk about the making of Little Piece of Heaven. It's on RUclips. It's a weird song, but watching how it came about helps. I'm a huge Avenged fan and it took me a few tries to even like this song. Most of their music is great!
You should listen to M.I.A by them. It's off my favorite album city of evil and it's a masterpiece. It's a song about a soldier experiencing the atrocities of war (PTSD) and his own moral dilemma: "am I on the right side?" The lyrics are so powerful.
Definitely a one off for them. It was supposed to be a part of a Halloween EP that never came to production. I strongly recommend the stage, or save me. I think you’d appreciate those as a guitar player.
I know people want a pure reaction from this but damn lol.. They could've at least recommended you well coming from this song anything else in their arsenal before this haha
Haha, I've thoroughly enjoyed your face expression during the clip and I really do appreciate you speaking your mind when you're not a fan something, it's not common anymore for some reason :) This band didn't catch me too before and this one sounded like a weird combo of ska and SOAD (not a fan of neither), so really probably bad luck for songs.. The concept was fun though, did enjoy it and just for that made open to check some other stuff from them :) Albeit I do like the "Everybody Dies!" concept better from Ayreon (nudge, nudge, wink wink :D )
Thanks Honza! I definitely feel honesty is best when doing these. It's no fun lying, even if I do find myself up against the pitchforks every now and then with these videos. 😂
this is just a one-off "let's just do the weirdest shit we can imagine." Most of the song was thought up on a weekend trip the band took, and it was meant to be released as a single for halloween
You say that you think that "most metal guys have heard of the band Avenged Sevenfold". Ya think?? Their last 3 albums premiered at NUMBER ONE on the Billboard top 200. Most "metal guys" know dozens of songs by them by heart.
I mainly listen to them for nostalgia, however they are definitely a very creative band (especially considering how mainstream they are) and also most the guitar solos slap. I also think they are a better rock band than metal band (sorry if this offends anyone), I prefer their more rock influenced songs.
This song is a fan favorite even though is not for everyone and less for a person trying to like them 😂😂 react to Buried Alive it’s one of my favorites ❤️
This is the first video I decided to watch....and the video was not very visible. If others can show it without issue - so can you. A7X is my absolute favorite...and they are VERY versatile. You just have to be willing to listen to the different songs they have out there. I have the deathbat on my Wrangler and on my motorcycle. Take notice of my face covering on my profile thumbnail. Not alot of people like this video because its so brutal or offensive...but loyal fans like me love it. But technically, you should have dove into other songs of theirs before this one. Try "Buried Alive" or Bat Country" or "Beast & The Harlot" or "Afterlife." Its a little more screamo/metal core in their early years though.
Oh sweet Jesus, did nobody warn you?!? 🤦🏼♀️ Little Piece of Heaven is a bit of a cult fan favourite live, but it's... It's a Halloween song made in the spirit of Mr Bungle and oh god. Please, please give them another chance with perhaps Afterlife (solid melodic hard rock), Buried Alive, Almost Easy, Unholy Confessions (if you like more screaming), or Paradigm. Oh god, as a 15+ yr avenged fan I'm so sorry 😂🤦🏼♀️
@@MattFarkas oh thank god, LOL. Jesus wept, I love avenged and have for so many years, and but too many fans out there trolling reaction RUclipsrs with Little Piece of Heaven 🤦🏼♀️ thanks man, hope you love whatever you end up picking, I'm looking forward to it!!
You must be one of those delicate "metal heads". I use that term loosely. Metal and Horror? A MASTERPIECE!. They are all brilliant, but the Rev? Genius!! R.I.P. the Rev. Maybe stick with puddle of Mudd or Justin beiber, I hear they are delicate too. Trade those guitars for maybe a flute, that's delicate like you too! You'll feel better buttercup.
No, not ego. This song just wasn't my thing. Willing to listen to more from A7X though! I've heard this song is a lot different than most of their music.

It's one of their best songs imo. It has no music video, so a lyric video should do.
Avenged Sevenfold - The Stage
Music video for full context!
Go go go.....!!
Lol this song was definitely a one-off thing. It showcases A7X's many talents.
I do recommend Buried Alive its more normal and metal i guess
Okay, good to know lol. I'll definitely have to give one of their more standard songs a listen at some point.
