Hey oh!
This song was written when the band took a break to recover from writers block. The rev (drummer) went to a cabin in the middle of nowhere for several weeks (may have even been months. Idr.) No contact with the outside world. Just him, his thoughts, and his instruments. When the band got back to the studio. He sat in front of the drum set, recorded the entire drum track in one take. Then went to the piano and recorded the whole piano part in one take. Then he explained the song to the rest of the band. WILD.

@@dionpeeters31 Yes I had a similar thought, I heard that he came back and recorded some of the backing vocals like the part about "must have stabbed him 50 times" but I have never heard that he came back and recorded all of the drums in one take for this song

It'd be tough to top it, though. The video for Korn's Right Now, or maybe Slipknot's The Devil In I, might be a bit more messed up than this vid, but not by much, and the lyrics are much tamer. Out of the rock/metal bands mainstream enough to have professional music videos(i.e., not truly bizarre acts like Anal Cunt), I genuinely can't think of something that's worse on the whole.
Behemoth easily, and they are extremely well-known.

I haven't heard of them before, and looking them up they're in a sub-genre I don't listen to much of (I'm more a power/symphonic metal guy than a black metal guy), but with a career that long I may want the highlights. Especially if the goal is messed-up videos to react to.
Their videos are dark, not messed up. Very distinct difference. Luckily for you, Behemoth has lot of symphic aspects to their sound. The album "The Satanist" from 2014 is incredible, largely considered their magnum opus and I have seen many who feel it is the best album that year if not the past decade, so, needless to say, everything off it is a great choice.
My recommended starter/introduction track would be "Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel", shows off all parts of their modern sound very well. "O Father O Satan O Sun" has an absolutely beautiful video by any measure, so also a great choice. The song "Bartzabel" from last year's album is good example of their more mellow sound.
Their sound has shifted dramatically over the years; "Grom" from when they started is pure classic black metal whereas "Demigod" is almost pure melodeath. At "The Left Hand Ov God" or "Slaves Shall Serve" are good examples of the more death metal sound.
If it matters to you, their lyrics are very good, filled with references are double-meaning (Dog=God from last year may sound cringy as a song title, but it actually has significance; still think just calling it Dog/doG would be better, though). The reaction channel Vin and Sori have done many in-depth analyses of the songs, if you would be interested.
Just as bit extra for consideration if you are wanting/willing to try more black metal. Rotting Christ is a similar band in being black metal but not early black metal in sound (like Burzum), very accessible and legitimately pleasant to listen to. They also have symphonic elements, and 666 would be my recommendation for them.

I still trip out that I would listen to him at school when we were supposed to be in class but decided that we weren't really feeling it so we hung out in the band room instead and he'd just be riffing on the guitar messing around LOL. I love Shaq, but there are many who do metal reactions very well. Many have different styles. Many are very educated before they go. Many look into the lyrics as they go. As for fun just light hearted reactions, this is where I go. If I actually want a more in depth reaction and a breakdown of the lyrics and overall sound to every instrument, I go elsewhere. They all have their place here in this metal community!
I had seen the rev with the band but my wife didn't. I took her to see them on the tour just after he died and she hoped they would play this. Its her favorite song by them. I said "there's no way in hell they play it when the rev died. They didn't play it when he was alive!"

Yes, their songs are nowhere near as "complicated" or "hard" as most good "metal" but they're alternative rock. Their song's have a very deep meaning and cause alot of people to advance to later on metal so just bashing on a band which is more succesfull than you'll ever be probably is stupid.

Joshua Barrett I’m not sure they’re really comparable. ‘Wither’ is a rock song with rap elements, while ‘Straight Out The Gate’ is a rap track. Both are excellent.
